even if the answer to that for you is personally no, you didn't, many did. Many do. I hate making eye contact because it makes me uncomfortable but I still try to do it because otherwise it isn't accepted socially and I'm scared everyone will hate me because they think I hate them. A tame example but I hope it gets my Point across
