a lot of the issue with techno as a character is he doesnt communicate with anyone or ask questions and doesnt fight back against others unless its against him and he seems to believe that unless he is endebted to others that they wouldnt fight for him

which is bs cause back during the festival the pogtopia crew would have and other people in manburg would have joined in and maybe manburg would have fallen and been replaced better at that point man imagine if schlatt would have been taken out then

i agree anon. i buy obliviousness as c!techno's fatal flaw but it's just not used in a way that is meaningful imo and to some points it gets just frustrating - like i really struggle to believe and c!techno somehow had no idea that c!wilbur's plan was to blow up l'manberg, and then had no meaningful response to this when he did find out. i can see him seeing c!dream as a kindred spirit and unaware/somewhat unwilling to entertain slander against him, but nothing HAPPENS because of that. he owes c!dream a favour? well he pays it off easily and faces no consequences or damage for dealing with (OWING, even) the most dangerous person on the server. i feel like the consequences he faces for not communicating aren't meaningful bc he never learns. sure you could say he didn't communicate his retirement well, which led to the butcher army, and he almost died and it was scary - fine. cool. but then he just goes on to purposely misconstrue his intentions AGAIN to c!tommy and i just get like... annoyed? like he didn't lose a life, he didn't lose items, he didn't lost c!phil, he didn't lose any meaningful relationships, and he didn't lose anything as we now know from owing c!dream a favour for his escape and he doesn't appear to learn anything about communication here. and it justifies his existing desire to destroy l'manberg. THAT is why the butcher army does not feel like a loss despite it being a literal execution

i don't know if they could have taken manberg down entirely at the time but they sure would be less shattered after the festival 😭 there would be no pit, c!wilbur would be spiralling less, c!niki wouldn't be brought in with no info. it would have strengthened pogtopia SO MUCH i just UGHHH. i still love the festival as a tragic event so i am okay with the whole operation going tits up but it's still frustrating to think about
