Hi! Random question but do you believe in ghosts/spirits? Nothing prompted this I was just thinking abt ghosts and I like hearing your opinion 😭 also how did your presentation go??

I do!! Im an umbandist (was raised in it) and we believe very strongly in spirits!!! I love and honor my ancestors and my spiritual guides and all the orixas☺️ its a wonderful religion that im so proud of and fulfills me greatly. i think my life is better for how light and intimate my relationship with spirituality is, especially growing up with it. Whenever i feel pained or stuck i know i can sing for oxum or ogum and feel at home and at ease <3

A lot of my family are kardecist spiritists tho and i dont care for THAT eugenist ass bullshit at all!!! Growing up with that part was fucked up lmao

Also the presentation went kinda bad?? I refuted one of my peers and she got really defensive and passive aggressive and my "advisor" (who insisted i talk about her work on my research but then didnt even read it) backed her up... but then again he was also her advisor and if he agreed with me it probably wouldve reflected badly on him for how much shoddy research was in there. I didnt say anything bc i didnt wanna start anything, but i edited a lot of my hardcore evidence of ol girl's bad arguments out of my presentation to spare her the embarrassment so if i DID wanna come with the drama i really could have. Alas i softballed it and just presented it as another point of view but i felt ganged up on and like they tried to make me out to be incompetent for work i know to be good in front of all my peers.

Other people liked it, though and im trying to focus on that
