I have. a lot to say ajshjdjdn but ok let's go starting w just the romance ignoring the boyband aspect it was so fucking nothing like they get together abt halfway through and then the rest is like....ok why do these ppl like each other again🤨 like there was no development and it literally made me feel nothing which is insane for a romance even the most boring romances will have atleast SOMETHING that'll hit u know. also something irritating is the romance including the only 2 in the boyband that r white lmaon like it's so weird like also making the mc spanish from spain which isn't like wrong but annoyed me for some reason LMAO. ok getting into the important boyband bit like the bts scenes were so. ok like the idea that these people dated for a month???????? they're both literal teenagers and decided to publicly come out which is so like deeply unrealistic and irritating to read. especially a character like ruben who allegedly has been in the industry since he was a kid no way in hell would anyone who cares abt his career actually just do that it's like a cute little gesture for the book but for someone who actually cares abt how the industry works I was sooo annoyed. also ruben was such an annoying character in general and was so fucking pushy w the coming out thing which I HATE in ya novels and finally getting into the 1d thing. it just feels like it was written by someone who quickly skimmed a l*rrie tumblr masterpost written in 2014. like it was clearly based on 1d w geoff being simon and the suffocating management and putting them into public roles that aren't them and zach being white zayn etc but it also felt like they just were a stereotype of one direction if that makes sense idk I can't explain it its like they used them as a gimmick and not bc they wanted to say something about boybands and the pressure they're under also the side characters were so much more interesting than the mcs which is always annoying but anyways everything abt this book was so annoying and I hated it and I read z*am fanfics when I was 13 that r infinitely better lol
