Ok so I have some thoughts about the Beauty and the Beast connections in the bees and Adam. Parts of this were inspired by posts I've seen recently but I didn't think to take note of them so if you recognise anything let me know and I'll link it

In the red trailer song, it describes Blake as the beast and yang as a beauty, but Blake is clearly the beauty to Adam’s Gaston and yang is the beast.

BUT Adam has the rose as his symbol, which is mostly associated with the beast in the fairytale

So they all have allusions to various characters and I think that’s because they represent similar things but at different stages

So Adam is Gaston, someone who feels entitled to someones love, and can’t understand why she won’t love him but instead of accepting it he decides that it’s a failing in her, and he’s also like the beast at the start of the fairytale in that he puts all the pressure on Blake to save him. He has demonstrated that he can’t move on from this and so his final arc is to die like Gaston and not be redeemed like the beast, because in the end he couldn’t take accountability for himself

Blake is beauty because she was forced into a situation where she was expected to deal with Adam, who is both Gaston and the pre-redemption beast. As both beauty and beast, she heals herself by learning to love herself and take accountability for her actions in the white fang, and work to undo the damage she helped cause/watched Adam cause before she realised what was going on.

Yang is beauty at the end of the fairytale, she knows who Blake/the beast is and who adam/ gaston is, and she has chosen to love Blake for her attempts at redemption, despite the hurt she’s been caused by both people. She has decided to be there for Blake and in doing so is redeeming both of their beasts, letting herself overcome her fear of being left again and helping Blake overcome her past and move towards a new future

By his death, adam is both gaston and the pre-redemption beast that Blake and yang in their roles as post-redemption beasts and beautys must kill off to complete their redemption and remove the ability to backslide into their own pre-redemption beasts

But anyway yeah adam represents their problems and the pasts they left behind
