You mentioned once that Poor George is a Hercules song, can we hear more about how that beast of a song fits him by any chance? Sorry, can't think of any other way to word this right now. Also I love his design so much!!

first up, thank you!! secondly- of course!! +some colour references for the pmv when i make it because i’ve been trying to answer all my oc asks with at least one drawing.
so, first off, poor george as a song is quote “a mock pity party for the male species” and that alone already suits hercules. the song is about a ‘a man whose daddy handed him the keys to the castle and showed him how to be a man. But the times are changing and the growing pains are real’.
here are some lyrics in particular that really really fit him
the lyrics ‘cant help he was born a king’ reference hercules’ status as the son of a mob boss and someone who’s eventually going to inherent that empire.
‘she said she wanted everything’ in general, hercules’ relationship with titan growing up
‘look what you made me do’ goliath -> titan -> hercules perpetuating the cycle of abuse
‘he’s going blind to watch you lose’ hercules throwing everything into his crime empire, to the point of neglecting himself.
‘takes a drag through the hole in his neck, he’s a marlboro man.’ hercules trying to epitomise typical masculinity and follow in the footsteps of his father (represented by the cigarette mascot). also smoking.
‘daddy said we could ride forever, what’s the back-up plan?’ more legacy stuff, goliath being a mythical figure hercules wants to emulate
‘momma taught him right from wrong, how to love and how to talk, never learned how to stop’ this one is just self explanatory tbh.
‘you can kill him, but you'll never kill his pride’ how he refuses to self-reflect, certain he’s in the right
‘beating his chest from the top of the empire, leading lady caught up in the gunfire. i’ma climb till they shoot me down, guns drawn, choppers off the ground’ aaand finally his ambition and sole focus on expanding the crime empire that his parents left for him that he doesn’t realise he’s hurting himself or those around him. his single-minded ambition.
