"careful now. don't give up that day job or all these materalistic gifts go away." she jokes. they both know she's not in it for the gifts. though a nice thing to recieve and she is grateful for everything ward has gotten her, it's not the reason she's with him. it's the thought and effort he puts in behind all the gestures. like planning a whole itinerary, noticing a dress that caught her eye one day when they were walking around town, the flowers and candles. all of it is done with such precision of care.

she reaches up to tug at the collar of his shirt and tugging him down into a kiss. how can she not reward all this effort with some sugar? "i'll try it on right now. can you help me untie my bikini?"

" what can I say I got inspired. As soon as you left I just got to thinking about you and spending time with you. It's turning into a full time job I'm not going to lie. " He chuckles and leads her up to the room where a lovely dress laid on the bed and a full length mirror lined with fairy lights sat for her to use.

" now this is just something I saw catch your eye last Thursday so theres no pressure to wear it but I did want to see you in it pretty please. " He clasps his hands together with pouty puppy dog eyes.

"rafe, you did a lot more than just hold me up while i was getting on my feet again." not that she was really that bad. okay, that was a lie. it took a while for sage to even get her out of the house and with the help of rafe she started to feel normal again; happy.

"come on, rafe. you helped me get out of bed most days. hell, forced me for my own good to get out an enjoy the world again. sure, i probably would have gotten there at some point but i think you helped speed up the process."

Despite it being considerably tiny, she accepts the flower crown and gives the little fairy a smile along with a thankful gruff. Oh she liked those little magical creatures, they could be so nice!

The cabin door creaked open, and the scent of pine and rain slipped in. Elsa looked up from the couch where she’d been curled with a book. The fire crackled nearby and cast soft shadows over her face that illuminated how tired she was. She didn’t move to get up. Lately, just standing took more out of her than she liked to admit. The early months had been manageable but now the fatigue had settled deep and felt like it was clinging to her bones. She still waited up for him. Listening for the sound of his boots on the wooden floor and the door swinging shut behind him.

Her smile was soft when their eyes met. She didn’t need to ask how the mission went. She could read it in his shoulders —the weight he always carried back with him. Instead, she closed her book and reached for his hand when he came close, guiding it to her belly where a faint swell had begun to show.

“I missed you,” she whispered, letting her eyes fall closed as the warmth of his presence settled around her again.

Cece jumped when she felt him grab her and kiss her, she didn't really have a chance to react. She tried to grab for him, wanting to pull him back towards her, and properly kiss him, but clearly he was on some kind of mission in his head, soon sprinting off as quickly as he had come and kissed her.

Her fingers lift to touch her lips, wanting to hold onto the heat that had been left behind from his kiss, but it was fading fast, too fast for her liking.

A little smile graced her lips and she walked forwards to try and get him in her sights again. She watched him for a moment, and pulled her cell out of her bag.
