One of the things I love about this show is how much detail the animators put into the backgrounds and side characters. It makes the world feel more alive. I also feel that the people working on this show really cared about what they where making.

Hey guys. So for today, I didn’t get any when doing my throwback post share. Sorry for taking a bit longer I’d tried an harder search I can get before giving up. Regardless, here’s something to bring when revisiting from said show that me and my Filipino pal had memories with.
Also worth mentioning that it turned 10 years old since it debuted back in July. 12th, 2014. You can thank my pal after give me the notice in chat together. 👍

i think if time warp trio came out 2day, it would be kinda popular, the show ended on a cliffhanger (kinda lik hailey's on it.) and lik som recent cartoons, its story based/seralized, (well iirc it starts out episodic but after a certain point it gets seralized)

How many of you all remember WordGirl after you watched it years ago?
For me, I first watched it in 2016 and completely forgot about it for SEVEN YEARS (I rediscovered it in August 2023) and I am currently rewatching the show to revive my memories that were buried far back in my brain.

HOW is o'grady not a hit in 2024. conceptually an old, early 2000s era town with a 6teen-esque friend group who's town they live in has an affliction called "The Weirdness", they call it "The Weirdness" in the show, and one of the teenagers is a long-haired douchebag and there's a trans one and there's another trans one. It even has two gross, pathetic old men you can write fanfiction about. Why aren't people fucking starving for this show

Cartoon Heroes Paper Cut-Outs
WordGirl
Created by Dorothea Gillim and produced by Soup2Nuts for PBS Kids, Word Girl follows the adventures of ten year old Becky Botsford.  Becky is from the planet Lexicon and accidentally crash landed on Earth alongside her pet chimpanzee, Captain Huggy Face.  Adopting Fair City as her new home, Becky takes on the guise of WordGirl whenever trouble arises.
WordGirl possesses flight and super strength, powers she uses to battle such threats as Dr. Two-Brains, The Butcher, Granny May and Chuck the Evil Sandwich Making Guy.  WordGirl tries to balance her superhero activities with her ‘normal’ life as an elementary school student and the adopted daughter of Tim and Sally Botsford.
Actress Dannah Phirman provided the voice for WordGirl.  The series premiered in September of 2007 and ran for six seasons.

take: WordGirl was and is still an extremely versatile and idea-open show, which is why it's cancellation was such a tragedy.
This show is, in my opinion, one of PBS' bests and was still such a big sandbox for idea, like the diverse villians, Becky's extreme power, and her still being a kid. If S2N had the right funding, or enough attention from PBS, it is very possible that the show would still be able to make new for at least the next few years, especially consider how much its staff liked working on the show. I feel like WordGirl is one of the shows that could benefit a lot from reboot, unlike others. Another reason was that Rhyme and Reason gave me a slight empty feeling in my stomach, while being a good episode. Had it been focused on more of the cast we know and love, or Becky goving up her title as WordGirl one and for all, it would feel like a proper ending. I feel like a lot of people wanting the show to be given a proper series stemmed from Rhyme and Reason. I feel like what WordGirl needs, is just another few episodes/a season with an ending that has to do more with all the characters giving one last goodbye to the show and not just Becky and Violet. Though, there probably are reasons why a continuation/reboot for the show hasnt been done, but I'll still cling onto the hope of some mention of any new WG content due to PBS Kids still having WordGirl on their streaming app unlike completely abandoning it like other shows. In conclusion, I think WordGirl has so many plots and themes it can use but feel short due to Soup2Nuts' bankruptcy.
Tell me what you think, I'd love to hear what others think.

Can we get this show a boost of popularity lik what happened with wordgirl? Soup2nuts did make both wordgirl and time warp trio, plus, time warp trio was one of the earliest serialized cartoons, before gravity falls made it more common, (this show came out in 2005!) with the first half being more episodic, but once they introduce mad jack (one of the main characters, joe’s evil uncle) it starts to become serialized,
