but summary: one of the reasons i dislike the fame arc (besides my general bias against them as imo fame arcs are cheap/unrealistic/take out most all character authenticity) is because: in s2 they had an arc about the menkies & how miss jenn was pushing them too hard in search of fame & money for the drama program. they decided to drop out of the contest because they felt they’d already won due to an awesome performance & the power of friendship. or whatever.

in s3, any small-club-family vibes they once had in s2 go completely out the window as they vie for the attention of celebrity guests & starring roles in a worldwide documentary. so.

will definitely gets tiktok famous for whatever reason (bc let’s be honest, tiktok would be obsessed with him no matter what content he put out), and mike just appears in the background of videos occasionally and all of will’s viewers immediately become obsessed with “will’s mysterious background boy”

mike knows everything there is to know about the incredibly complex game that is dnd but he can’t play chess for the life of him (and dustin gives up trying to teach him) so will spends an afternoon teaching him and mike FINALLY gets it

when mike is sick he’s the BIGGEST baby about it, so will comes over and makes him soup and reads him charlotte’s web :’)

when will is sick he definitely tries to walk it off and acts like it’s nothing even if he’s got like pneumonia but mike immediately goes into protective bf mode and makes will go to bed and puts some soft music on his phone and they nap together

they have the best halloween costumes once they become an official couple

notable costumes include: the two halves of a nintendo switch, remus and sirius (fuck jkr obvi, but will is remus and mike is sirius), johnny and ponyboy from the outsiders (will is johnny and mike is pony), the wizard of oz gang with lucas and dustin (will is dorothy, mike is scarecrow, lucas is tin man, and dustin is lion), and troy and gabriella from hsm (mike would be gabriella fight me on this)

also will begs mike again and again to go as dracula (bc will thinks mike will look really hot in that costume) and mike refuses bc he’s always teased for being pale

but mike VERY quickly changes his tune when will says that he’ll go as one of the brides

mike always tries to win will something from a claw machine but constantly fails

turns out will is a god at claw machines so he wins both him and mike something and tells mike that they can tell people mike won him his stuffed animal :)

will loves horror movies but he learned that if he acts scared mike will cuddle him more so he acts scared a lot
