#morningwarmupsketch 08/09/19 Today's sketch is of Ben Browder as John Crichton, I recently discovered that this year is the twentieth anniversary of Farscape! This is one of my favorite series for so many reasons, the story, the characters, and not to forget the amazing creature designs from Jim Henson's creature shop. James Gunn who wrote and directed the Marvel Guardian of the Galaxy films admitted that when he was adapting the comic to the film, he took inspiration from Farscape. Gunn even had a small cameo for Ben Browder in the second Guardians film as the Sovereign Admiral. Looking back at Peter Quill (aka Starlord), you can see a lot of John Crichton in his swagger down to the Earth pop references that never land with the alien characters.
