She lines all the tiny penguins with the little swords and points towards a certain mosshead. "Get 'Em!!" It was his turn to be swarmed by the mini creatures as Tashigi needed a break from looking after the birds.

Although, she laughs at the animals charging at Roronoa at such speed that Tashigi laughs a little, quite amused on how much the penguins were taking this seriously.

fingers abruptly stop when his question is voiced and he's swatting her hand away with minimal effort. gaining a smile of admiration from reina, she gazes at his countenance, happily. even when he was annoyed with her, she thought he was the most perfect man in the world. he was her world, she owed him her life.

it's the dead of night and reina is snuggled up to @sozokami's side, only to shift to stand a moment later. quietly, reina tip-toes around zoro, eyeing him while she does so to make sure he is sleeping. once she is sure he is, her attention turns before her as she tip toes out to the deck.

Watching the ship was an easy task. It was familiar and with no on the ship, it gave Zoro time to himself. Quiet was a rare gift in the Sunny. It really only happened when they were docked and the others were ashore. Content that that's where they were, Zoro let himself enjoy the evening.

The moonlight had already already bright enough to leave a familiar shimmer on the water. It was sooth as he stood with his guard lowered. He rested his crossed arms on the Sunny's railing as he looked out over the waters. Spotting a ripple in the waves where a large fish snap for food at the surface.

As he stood there, he kept a low level of haki expanded in a small radius around him. He felt a familiar aura enter the range. It burned bright and hot yet soothed his soul. Though, haki was far from needed to recognize this presence. The tell-tale slap of flip-flips against skin told him all he needs.

"Evening, Lu-" The words died away as there was a brush of cloth. Eyes slipping closed as soft material settling in against his skin. His vision slipping away to the dark. Pulse quickening the slightest bit, he turned a fraction to face Luffy more. "Captain?"

luffy calls his name just as he slingshots himself into him, before planting a messy sloppy kiss to the size of his face, with a grin to match afterwards. ( hehe )

He hears the twang of rubber just after the call to his name and braces himself in a horse stance to take the impact. Grunting and pivoting his hip so he takes the shock of the excited Captain barreling into him. With a rare bark of a laugh a smile threatens to peek from the corner of his mouth.

Before he can even ask why the other has decided to bounce over he's given a wet sloppy Luffy kiss and that grin grows wider, a small rare display of affection actually pleasing him, and he lets out a pleased hum in response. " Okay, my day has now properly been made. Thank you, Luffy. "

The weather would not let up.  Miyuki knew things were crazy in the New World, but never this crazy.  She did not have Feiyu to help out with the weather.  She was on her own.  The rain was certainly opaque.  She could not see more than five feet ahead of her.  This called for her to use haki.

She placed her hand on the hilts of her swords.  It would be good to practice caution, this island was likely filled with interesting characters.  She was sure she would come across someone antagonistic.  She stepped to what she thought was the middle of the pathway.  Rain drenched her poncho and clung to her skin, but she stayed still.​​​​​​​

Miyuki closed her eyes.  She focused on the sounds of the rain and the movement of animals staying still under the canopy of trees.  Everything had a color, a whisper, and a ripple.  She took a deep breath.  There was a figure in front of her.  The closer they got the sooner she would hear their footsteps.

She slid to the side of the road in the pouring rain.  Hands still on the hilts of swords out of habit and fear they might be an enemy.

There was silence, save for the rain that was pouring and the fog.  She was close.  She opened her eyes.

“Excuse me?” she spoke up.

I can't even tell you how beyond excited I am to develop this relationship more with you. ZoNami makes me giddy. It's no secret that I'm a sucker for the enemies-to-lovers/rivals-to-lovers trope and with the way these two behave, the tension is so thick it can be cut with a knife.

"Hey careful with that Roronoa. It stings!!". Maybe it was a good thing last time when the marine was passed out from her wounds in Punk Hazard because the pirate hunter didn't really know how to take care of a person properly. Not like Tashigi had high hopes for Zoro in the first place but what about his own injuries? Surely the pirate hunter had lived this long without kicking the bucket so Roronoa had to know some basic medical knowledge or else he would be dead in a ditch somewhere a long time ago.

Although, the marine's complaint must had gotten through to the man because Zoro had stopped and carefully made sure that the wound didn't open up again. Tashigi swore she also heard a muttered sorry underneath the pirate hunter's breath for hurting her. As if this was anything to be in pain with. She's endured much worse than a slight scratch. Had she been a little dramatic because Tashigi was in a certain mosshead's presence? Yeah but who could blame her? Still, the marine didn't really like the silence treatment she had gotten after her little outburst.

"Look. I'm sorry. It's not that bad of a cut. I'm tougher than I look okay? And no, me passing out during that battle in the Biscuit Room doesn't count. I was going up against a devil fruit user. Even your captain couldn't defeat her that one time. Hey, don't look at me like that!!" Whoops. Now Tashigi is in argue mode. Too bad the slight tender part has passed now.

When  he  starts  a  fight,  none  of  the  sides  can  ever  escape.  He'd  leave  behind  everything  so  precious,  dear  to  him.  A  single  hand  reaching  to  his  pocket,  a  coin  of  beli  tossed  into  the  air  before  Ace  caught  it  in  his  palm,  opening  it  and  brown  eyes  burning,  passion  of  the  flames  now  licking  along  the  freckled  skin.  A  sign  of  Whitebeard  on  his  back,  wrapped  of  the  fire  burning  inside  his  heart.

a pout settles on her lips as he overanalyses the pumpkin in her arms. reina knew zoro was somewhat dumb when it came to women, but she didn't think it was this bad! here she was, excited to show him something that took her a few hours to complete, ( while he slept, of course, ) something that would have taken him seconds, but she was proud of her work all the same!

reina is not a swordswoman, she isn't a fighter, in fact, she doesn't know what she is. she can't remember. what she is, for sure, is not a very talented sculptor. and it's evident in the way zoro eyes the pumpkin, no compliments slipping by lips she wants to pinch in annoyance right now.

❝ no... ❞ the blonde lies, shoulders deflating and lips pulling into a deep frown. ❝ never mind... ❞

they were docked at a nice little island, one which seemed to celebrate halloween. they were lucky too, when they arrived a festival seemed to be beginning and everyone went to enjoy themselves. zoro, of course, opted to stay by the dock and nap. until reina came to him with her pumpkin.

without thinking, she walks over to the edge of the dock and peers briefly into the bottomless ocean. not a second later, she drops the pumpkin into the water.

she is, under no circumstances, allowed off the ship. apparently everyone agreed to it, considering how she almost always died whenever she ventured off with the crew. so as the ship docks at a nice little village, reina is kept on board with zoro, who was trusted to keep her entertained while the rest of the straw hats went for supplies. the only one who didn't seem that bothered about reina being on the ship or not was luffy, of course.

it didn't take too long for zoro to rope her into napping with him. he's sitting comfortably with reina on his lap, and she's calculating the pauses between his breaths. is he sleeping yet? she's bored! she wants to explore!

a few minutes go by before she has the courage to lift her head and gaze up at him, and her lips curl into a mischevious grin when she sees that he's sleeping, soudly, at that. reina is slow with her movements, shifting ever so slightly until she's up and off of his lap. allowing a moment to pass, to make sure zoro doesn't waken, reina gives a small, albeit very quiet, victory dance before she tip toes like some sort of thief in the night towards the ramp, but her actions cease entirely as a gruff voice comes from behind her.

it sends a chill down her spine as she blinks several times, slowly turning her head to see the swordsman eyeing her with a cocked brow, and a look that begs her to try her luck. a nervous laugh escapes parted lips, one hand moving to rub the back of her neck. " ah, zoro-sama! i was just- well, you see- "

screw it.

without another thought, reina turns on her heel and dashes towards the ramp, scurrying down it and off the ship.

She could see the pirate hunter visibly flinching as Tashigi's hand and fingers go towards Zoro's face like the woman was going to whack him on the head or something. Instead, the marine was more curious of the large scar that ran down the swordsman's left eye. So much that her small hand had been taken out of her gloves for her to feel the area that had looked at her all those years ago in Roguetown.

Tashigi wonders if the injury was caused by training or something else. She knew vision and depth was really important to those in their profession, being the way of the sword and all. The marine also wondered if that specific scar had hurt every time the world would rain down. So many questions that was at the tip of her tongue and yet all the marine woman did was trace over Zoro's eye for a little bit before shoving her hand back into the fabric of the glove, her own nicks and scratches hidden from sight.

The captain just stands there awkwardly now, not knowing what to say or do. Zoro staring at her with his good eye wasn't helping matters but it did get her to speak up a little. "What? I wasn't going to hurt you Roronoa. Not at least if you didn't deserve it anyways". Ah yes, always a catch with her.
