can’t believe this blog url wasn’t taken yet.

anyway, peed on a stick yesterday and both lines came up, just as I expected. (which is what I was hoping for!!) 5 days late period is going to be delayed another couple months.

so now I’m going to blog about my experiences and feelings I guess? hopefully anonymously-ish. Tokyo is a very big city but I still want to hide myself as much as I can.

I’m calling it “spawn” (affectionately) for now.

I am in batspawn hibernation (the comic comes out in December) but based on this it seems they're doing other crossovers?? or maybe its just a fun variant cover?? either way happy for the Spawn content <3

found these pages in an issue i previously skipped and was reminded just why i love al simmons so much, and why i get so frustrated when people (including his own writers sometimes!!!) write him off as cold, unfeeling & violent... and why it makes me sad that spawn is brushed off as an edgy product of the 90s rather than the compassionate, three-dimensional character he is.

al simmons has always looked out for the little guy. he’s always been a protector of abuse victims, especially abused children. to see that highlighted so brilliantly here, in such a recent issue, fills me with a warmth & appreciation i can’t even describe. the fact that such a prideful man is willing to put that side of himself aside to make sure this young girl & her baby get the help they need makes me want to cry. the fact he acknowledge his own emotional clumsiness, while still demonstrating how much he cares through his actions, shows a great level of emotional maturity that i wish mcfarlane & company would allow him to have more often.

fuck, man. the fact he asks this young woman permission before he touches her, too. i can’t tell you guys how much that means to me to see one of my favourite characters portrayed this way, and to see something like this in a semi-mainstream comic book period.

yes! he's the ultimate Wife Guy if a Wife Guy was a hellspawn who's wife remarried while he was dead ( he is incredibly devoted to keeping her, her new husband, and their daughter safe,, its pretty soft for a guy who looks like a top text bottom text skeleton... )
