Of course when I saw this mug recently I just HAD to have it. But they story isn't that simple. So I'm going to open up some vulnerability here.⁣ .⁣ It was a few weeks back and I was having a rough time with my son. Even when he is not with me, he is with me. Being a special needs parent takes more of a toll than I ever thought it would. ⁣ .⁣ I was standing in line to purchase this mug when I started to have a bit of social anxiety. It happens, it's good to be aware, and my husband was an option for help so I offered to take our son to the car while he stood in line. ⁣ .⁣ I made it 10 feet and stopped. I had just passed a young mom getting in line juggling a sleeping baby and two glass dishes to purchase. I went back in line and walked up to her and said 'I'm going to help you.'⁣ .⁣ She said, 'Really?! Thank you!'⁣ .⁣ And I took her glass bowls as she shifted the baby. This is where my husband chuckled and said, 'Give me the bowls and go to the car. I can hold those too.'⁣ .⁣ The thing is, I've developed such extreme empathy for others with what we go through daily. And often we have no idea what the person next to us is going through.
