Aoiugghghh hang on. Carver comforting romanced Anders after Hawke gets left in the fade. They may not like each other, barely tolerating the others presence, but after Hawke is gone sharing stories of them is the only way the two of them stay sane. Carver hearing the news and immediately seeking out Anders because that's what Hawke would have wanted, for anders to be safe, and now that they're gone, suddenly obeying his sibling's wishes doesn't seem so awful.

something i realized in the recent years is that while my mom is a very nice person and i can understand why she is the way that she is sometimes, she had a history of always dismissing and throwing away things that were important to me, and in hindsight that certainly had an effect on both my trust in her and how much i was willing to ever share, and also just turned me into a dumpster goblin because i just gave up on ever having nice things so why bother ever caring about my personal space at all ✌️ i'll just live in the filth because we'll never have anything better after all !!

i was talking about this a bit with ramone, but y'all know how i mentioned that it's likely that blamore has one of those 'special containment' cells that villains like killer croc and man-bat in arkham have as well? wellll... i can guarantee y'all that on one of the rare occasions that that they have let it into a common room (because it's basically treated as if it's in unofficial solitary confinement in arkham a majority of the time unfortunately), blamore was SO desperate to get out of there because they put a power dampener on him and because arkham is just terrible in general, that he pulled out one of the plants growing in his ribs (which is considerably painful for it to do, by the way) to give to ivy.

and she of course proceeded to break them all out of there because she can turn even just a little plant into something capable of tearing the asylum apart so... yeah JSJSJ whenever blamore is desperate, it gets inventive, and that may be even more dangerous than when it has it's powers because at least you kind of know what to expect with them — but whenever it's robbed of them... it can become particularly nasty, let's just say that ☠️

time to be annoying. when one of the most important scenes in your entire manga hinges around a man having built relationships with two groups but you only ever show him in relation to one of those groups, and it's the group using the other as living factories, that weakens the overall message on the value of understanding and communication.

I actually think him calling that plant a brat is in vein with him telling Lina it's not a big deal that adult men touched her butt: a difficulty comforting people who have been unfairly injured because he struggles with the cognitive dissonance his own stance causes him, which is not unique to the stance on plants we're communicated through his on-screen moments.

it's clear Vash has some reverence for his sisters - we see moments of it in all three iterations of trigun. it's also clear that Vash is deeply angry, deeply unhappy, and uncomfortable with people lashing out against their oppressors in ways that might entail violence or harm. it's also clear that no, he is not working to educate humans, better the plight of plants, and build plant-human relationships. when he sees an angry plant, he reacts just as he does to an angry human child has been hurt.

i think we as a society can and should see both the idea that we have become brainwashed by certain perfectionist and materialistic ideas about parenting and that also yes having a kid is not free.

I had family from out of state visiting who I was really excited to see and it was awesome to see them but it was also frustrating bc it illustrates to me just how inherently isolating being autistic could be. Even with family who know I’m autistic and are accepting I can only be in big groups for so long before I become disregulated and can’t fully keep up with conversations that aren’t directly about my interests, and after another hour or two I can’t even do that, and my sensory issues start to cause physical pain. And it just sucks bc I don’t get to see them very often and I wanted to be able to spend more time with them. (And I’m at a better place with coping and regulating than I have been in years to the point that my family was impressed with how much I could be there!) idk something something when your disability is disabling
