"Visiting for a special reason? NY's the kind of place for constant tourism. Wish I could say I enjoy it but....don't really...." He lowered himself onto the ground, now right-side up, standing right next to the newcomer with his arms crossed over his chest. "Well, it's not a total bust. Having such an incoming flux of visitors means I get to meet new people. Kind of nice."

The dude devoured that sandwich like a wild animal. Peter would judge, but to be honest, most people had a point in their life or even several where they had gone long without eating. And because of that, end up messily slobbering down a bunch of junk to get those sweet sweet calories. The gasoline of a human body. So Pete kept his mouth shut, just hanging around.

"You....still hungry?" Peter asked, glancing at the other, "I can get you another sandwich if you want. When was the last time you've eaten a real meal?"

"Uhh, you could... say that." he admitted, with a grimace, moving back just slightly so he could look at the guy more clearly. And doing his best not to tear into the sandwich like a wild animal. Felt so long since he'd eaten something so - human. Not that his other side was unhappy with raw fish or deer or whatever, it was just... nice to feel more like his human self.

"Spider-man." he repeated, "I get it, yeah, that's... cool gimmick." he gestured with one hand, shoving sandwich into his mouth now. With bread and turkey and lettuce in the way, he didn't have to talk, but when he was three mouthfuls down, he paused. "And um - thanks, yeah." he finished it off, managing to not lick his fingers, and definitely grateful. He'd just gotten so bad at communicating with people, recently.

When it came to all that occurred before, during, and after the Blip and all that Thanos nonsense, a lot of people's common senses went out with the bath water. People too blinded by panic and fear to think straight. That could be one argument as to why Tony even let Peter participate in the coming and aftermath of the apocalypse. He was an Avenger, after all! What would he do if not help them fight towards a better future? Especially after they ended up winning!

But one could also argue that Peter was the dumb-ass who shot himself into space after being warned not to. He was the dumb-ass who headed towards an intergalactic cave match with a purple being that made Grimace look like a joke. He was young but he was also stupid. A genius when it came to certain things, an imbecile when it came to others. It was a team-effort that got Peter into these sort of messes in the first place. So if Quill wanted to blame anyone for seeing someone so young, he would have trouble pointing a finger at just who caused it all.

Peter was enticed by Quill's friendliness. The corners of the teen's eyes crinkled as he smiled wide, switching his mask to one hand so he could hand-shake the other's, only to debate it, pull back, and offer a fist-bump just in case that was too classy for Quill.

"Sure is. Maybe one of the best names around?" He contemplated the man's question, tilting his head just a bit, "Uhh....I don't think I really listen to one type. Just kinda what interests me. But the soundtracks of movies are nice. Like Star Wars'. It really immerses you in the story, you know? And if I listen to that kind of stuff while I'm doing homework or working on a progress, it really keeps me focus. Kinda lame but...." Peter shrugged, "That word sums me up 'cept for the Spider-stuff."

His body was already covered in sweat from the exhaustion of a battle just a few hours ago. Add onto that he was sort of fibbing about his very obviously complex injury. She wasn't in the mood for games or his bullshit. So Peter stiffened, slowly moving his hand away from his wound to let her see it, biting his bottom lip for having delayed the process. It didn't occur to him that the only person he was hurting here was himself.

"Okay so....maybe it's a little worse than I thought." Pretty deep, too. "I just....I don't want to be an inconvenience. Feel like one already."

"Soooo....does that mean you are one of those trainee avengers?" He continued walking, keeping a decent enough pace so that she could follow without any difficulty. Might as well make some conversation. It might be a bit. He could easily yoink her into his arms and swing there 80% faster but he didn't want to do that. At least not yet.

"Y'know, I'm technically an avenger.....but like, I don't really feel all that prepared for it. Mr.Stark even made it official for me. But....sometimes I wonder if it's even worth it. It's like a sacrifice."

"I'm looking for Avengers Headquarters." Her mother didn't really talk of her life before Westview and their family, but both of her parents had talked about the Avengers in passing.

"I suppose that might be a place to start."

I think it's human nature to feel envious over something that someone else has that you feel you should have too. But you must never try to bring someone down just because they're happy.

"Monochrome....." Peter said to himself, chin propped up on his knees as he sat there. "Mono, like one? And I guess chrome for color. Huh. That's a cool word!" The child smiled at the man, observing him with big brown eyes. "Are you....like me?" Peter hesitated, gulping back some air. "....y'know, sticky?"

"Monochrome, is the word you're looking for. And I'm like this because my this is how colors work in my dimension. Just like how you are because that's how colors work here."

Comes the amused reply, Noir patiently waiting for the teen to calm down some before approaching closer.

Even if Tony didn't directly confess to Peter meaning a lot to him, Peter was pretty certain through actions alone that Tony valued him as a companion.

"Aren't you the one who typically kick-starts the trouble?" Peter raised a brow, joking a little, knowing the man could take it. A gentle smile crosses his lips. This was nice. Familiar. "Uh, yeah, I could get something to eat. Sounds good."

Tony could be a lot of things. A smart ass, incredibly arrogant and cocky, detached from his loved ones when he was in certain funks. Peter had seen most of the inventor’s spectrum at this point. And no matter what, he still trusted the man. When all was said and done, there wasn’t another person Peter trusted with his life. And with such impressing traits in one way came traits in the opposite way. Tony sure could be his own enemy with all that self-loathing and such. All Peter could really do was offer his support and reiterate to the man that he would be infallible help no matter what.

“Of course.” Peter sat nearby, hands crossed in his lap as he glances Tony’s way. “If I wasn’t here, I’d be pretty worried about you right now. So it’s a good thing, i think.”

Tony knew he could be a handful among other things, but that’s what made him well him. He wasn’t going to change for anyone no matter who it was. Tony trusted very few people with his life and Peter was one of them, but he’d never tell the teen that. He didn’t want to put all that pressure on him.

“I wouldn’t get into that much trouble by myself.” Okay so that was a lie, he’d get into a lot of trouble if he was by himself. Mostly not sleep and drink but still, that was trouble all on its own. He’d probably also make something explode in the lab. Tony downs the rest of his drink and stands up, patting Peter on the shoulder. “Want some pizza or a soda?”
