tbh if we're talking abt issues in the selfship community i GOTTA bring up the exclusion of darker skinned poc cause its rampant. so many imagine posts have "running their hands through your hair" or "cheeks flushing red" or the obvious intent of meaning eurocentric features and it pisses me off!! yall have GOT to work on being more inclusive in your writing!!

and that doesnt even mention the way darker skinned ppls ships get reblogged a lot less and that most of the selfship content i see getting the most notes is from white/light-skinned people. pls if u see selfship content for or from darker skinned ppl help it get more traction we r struggling out here 🙏🏾

apparently since people are spreading lies about me i need to make a public post addressing it

its come to my attention that people are apparently still sharing that bullshit lie that i ship with "canon minors" and that literally isnt true. let me explain how that rumor got started

i made a post saying that simp is aave and white people should not be using it

white people got offended and certain white bloggers were looking for anything possible to diminish my character and silence me

some random white person came into my inbox claiming i ship with "canon minors" with no proof as a way to shit on my points about antiblackness

at the time, the youngest characters on my f/o list were only 2 years younger than me. they were 16, i was 18.

when i turned 19, all characters younger than 17 were completely removed from my f/o list, and are no longer mentioned on my blog unless it is in a 'recalling the past' sense.

people apparently decided to listen to those racist askers and not fact-check and are now still spreading the rumors that i ship with "canon minors"

im only putting this in the selfship tag because im tired of hearing it and it was genuinely traumatic to be constantly harassed with racism and be accused of pedophilia all around a week before my 19th birthday and i would really appreciate it people would stop bringing it up and stop lying about me without fact checking. but apparently the only time we believe victims is when they are white selfshippers

like i just dont understand the culture of 'if youre 18 youre ONLY allowed to date/ship with characters who are also 18 or older because in real life people who are 18 are interacting with more than just 18+ people. in school, in their clubs, in their friend groups they talk with 16 and 17 year olds. just because someone turns 18 doesnt mean that their relationships, romantic or otherwise, immediately become sexual or predatory in nature. tf??
