I feel like the fact that Kory is the same If not younger than Dick is also something that I feel like is really not talked about. And I feel like it’s important because of the weight of the different tragedies they had in their lives and what is expected of them and what they except of each other. And then when they are together they are like cuddled together during meetings or shown soon after with Dick putting his clothes on and Kory in bed. Like it’s hard imagining how young they were and like they really were young. Lol But also like the fact that they didn’t really have a person to go to to help guide their relationship and they relied mostly on their friends…
the titans are such a fun clusterfuck of people when you think about how insistent they already are about being independent and making their own choices and doing things their own way at the ages of like. nineteen. like i get that in white people spheres that’s an adult but to me personally that is still a child i really don’t think you come intro true adulthood until maybe your mid twenties. but anyway as i was saying they’re so self assured about themselves and their identities or at least they claim to be and it’s like. you know it wouldn’t kill them to lean on their mentors a little more and that it wouldn’t be a failure if they had to do so bc they didn’t know where else to look to for guidance. i honestly think that is why roy and wally end up so comparatively well adjusted: they’re not affronted or ashamed by the idea of needing to ask for this help. and kory is obv a different case bc she doesn’t really have anyone outside of the titans to ask for it but i really do find it amusing how staunchly committed dick is to making his own decisions and leading his own life without asking for bruce’s input while nonetheless expressing hurt at the idea that bruce would leave him alone to do exactly that
