Eyes drifted to her-- a sense of sweetness was in her tone, though... Apeas himself had a hard time picking up on it. With all of his experiences... love was not something Apeas knew well-- if at all. After everything with Miranjo... his whole worldview changed-- shattered in its entirety and leaving him unable to pick up the pieces of everything he once knew. But... Midnight was helping him with that. Slowly but surely.

" Does it truly? " He asked, unable to hide just how dumbfounded he seemed... only to pause-- while Midnight couldn't see it, he found himself lowering his head as he started blushing... quite a bit.

" I... I am flattered. " He muttered, finally bringing his hands up to hold Midnight's own, mindful of her claws.

     Did he know her? Of course he knew her and she knew him! Why was she acting like they’ve never met before? That was mean, then again he was too drunk to really care as he stumbled closer to lean in, pointing a hand up to himself with a sad look on his face...well sadder than it already was at least “ Ya don’t....member me?” he asked with a slight pout now grabbing onto her shoulders with his hands, shaking her slightly.

     “ Surely y-you haven’t....forgotten me!” was he going to say his name? Maybe, maybe not it really all depended how drunk he was but for now he was a bit scatterbrained “ How...c-could ya forget mee??” he now seemed like he was on the verge of tears as he nearly crumbled to his knees.

     People were staring.....staring and watching the two in silence, though most were drunk and busy with their own things to worry to much about them.

Terrible First Meeting Starters

"Ahh sorry, Lemon, I ballsed it up," a nonchalant, if slightly apologetic, voice came from the dark figure that Nihimiah had yelled at.

And then...

"For fuck-...you're usually the stealthy one, mate," another voice came from the opposite end of the alleyway as a second figure revealed itself, the two of them now blocking Nihimiah in. And already, they had begun advancing inward, taking gradual strides towards Nihimiah. The seemingly perfect unison with which they walked made for quite the menacing aura.

"It's perfectly simple, love," said the first figure, a set of brass knuckles glinting in the dim light as they were slid onto fingers already heavy with chunky rings, "you've got somethin' we need."

The metallic sound of a gun cocking rang out on the other side of the alleyway.

"We don't want no trouble - honest," said the second voice. "We jus' need them crystal things you collect, right? Tha's all. We're ain't lookin' to kill ya' or nothin'."

"Play nice, darlin', an' we won't 'ave ta'," some of the features of the first figure became dimly visible as he stopped within a few feet of striking distance.

"So why not jus' hand 'em over an' we can all go home, 'ay?"

Boji let out a surprised gasp when Midnight would gently pat his head. Oh no did he look sad? It's just...he couldn't help it, whenever he would visit his parent's grave thoughts swell up in his mind and well, some emotions were still hard to control for the little prince. He was a bit glad that she joined him, he always liked introducing new people to the Queen and King.

"Augh..." he would gently reply reaching up his own small hand to hold her own.

     This woman was strange....and Falco couldn’t help but take a step back as she suddenly approached him and felt her grab hold of him pulling him towards her. He probably should have just made a run for it the moment he saw her but despite his fears her gentleness was unexpected “ H-huh...Rosevines?” what was so dangerous about them? He wondered a little but decided not to test his luck, though he couldn’t help but glance back at them before flinching as she suddenly crouched down.

     However like before, he got the feeling she didn’t want to hurt him even if he was a trespasser and stranger, was this her property or something? Carrison? From the sounds of it it must be a dangerous place if people aren’t likely to wander into it. But he wasn’t sure how to respond, would she even believe him if he told her he just...woke up here in a field all by himself?

     “ I....I’m sorry ma’am I don’t know how I got here....” honesty was best for this, he’d gain nothing from lying to this woman “ I just....I know it’s going to sound weird but I was talking with my big brother at home....I-I went to bed and woke up in a field here...I swear I’m not lying I just don’t know how I got here.” then it hit the small blond.

     “ H-have you seen my brother maybe? His name is Colt! He’s...like me but taller and very cool, super nice and friendly too! He’s wearing a white uniform, there’s a bronze badge on the top left of his uniforms collar, and he’s wearing a yellow armband on his left arm...like me!” he tried explaining as he points to his yellow armband.

It was odd-- Aurelius was never one to indulge in such things. Often, he kept as far away from alcohol as possible due to the usual effects it would have on his divination, but this was one of the few times he was able to be seen in such a way.

Despite his drunkenness, the Primarch sat attentively next to Midnight. He was somewhat hunched, glossy glowing eyes trying to peer through his helmet accurately enough while he kept his eyes to the door... even if there weren't any actual threats, Aurelius was determined to help the young woman. He frowned a bit, peering away to try to lift his helm without his face being seen to finally take a long sip of water.

" ... Forgive me, for... my state. Despite these hurdles, I will keep watch. I know often my Marines may get carried away. "

Where Midnight must have found herself was an entertainment sector of a large, grand ship that could only be described as the size of a damn nation in her time-- a Phalanx-sized ship-- where many Astartes actually seemed to be celebrating-- undoubtedly, some would have been stoic or focused on work, or perhaps preparing for the next battle. But here they were, sitting alongside what seemed to be family members, cheering and hollering and drinking the night away. Aurelius simply sighed, but not even the helmet could hide the obvious pride he felt for his sons.
