"Yes bambina, I'm coming up to your place now. I can't wait to see it! And this new man! From your pictures, I know he's gorgeous, but I need to make sure he's good enough for you. See you in ten." Stella told Kelly as her car pulled up the the address. The flight had been long but ultimately fine. She could desperately use a hydrating facial though. Maybe they could grab all the girls, she thought Kelly's new guy had a sister, and go to the spa. With that thought, the car pulled up to a large house with beautiful landscaping. That was a benefit to California, though Stella didn't care much for gardening. She exited the car while the driver grabbed her bags. She had tried to pack light, this was only a few days' trip, but Stella liked to be prepared for any possibility. Plus she brought presents! She saw a figure emerging from the doorway and waved. "Hello, I'm here! Let me tell you the flight seemed to take forever, I forgot how long New York to LA really is."

"Oh hello, funny seeing you here. Would you mind getting the door for me? Normally Mr. Prince helps me when I get large packages, but there's a woman outside with one of those big twins strollers. I don't blame him for helping them." Stella said, struggling with the large box. It was full of presents for her various friends and family. "Do you know someone here Vanessa?"

Stella nodded, quiet as she thought about what Grey said. "I think darker would look great on you. You deserve to be dressed in the highest luxury but I think I understand what you mean. The last thing I want is for you to feel uncomfortable. This was supposed to make you happy." She said, pointing to another option in the book. It had a charcoal swatch but was a tier or two down in price. Grey would recognize the brand and hopefully feel less self-conscious. Once they were alone together, she drained her glass. Then Stella went up to them on the platform, rubbing her hands along their arms. "Look, I think, no matter what you wear, I'm proud to be with you. I wanted to do something nice, that's all. But if you don't like it, we can leave. You can go to the party with me in jeans, I don't care."
grey's trying here. this level of luxury isn't really something they're comfortable with, but that doesn't mean they're not trying. after all, they'd do anything stella asked them to. "it feels like – too nice– i know that's not really helpful–" they shrug. they don't mind being dressed up, but something this expensive still feels overwhelming for them. "maybe we could try something darker? like a charcoal?" they ask, stripping the jacket and leaving them in just their tanktop. it occurs to them that if they move forward with this, there's some level of exposure for the scars on their arms, and in the ditch of their elbows. and maybe – someday– it wouldn't make them so self conscious to see the evidence of their past on clear display.

Stella hadn’t been entirely truthful with Kelly. She didn’t hop on the first flight out, there wasn’t one available. But also she needed to speak to her council, aka her sister, her actual therapist, the women she played mahjong with, and a random bartender. Results were mixed. Half of the group said, no end it now. The other half said, go after him and make up. So when she finally got on the plane two days later, she felt no closer to her decision about what she wanted with Brooks. Still, she would apologize if nothing else. He deserved that from her.
The plane ride had been uneventful, aside from the weird moment that her phone decided to play “Hopelessly Devoted to You” followed by “Feather” followed by "Say Don’t Go”. Suffice to say, it was confusing. The full 6 hours were spent tossing and turning her feelings over. She had a drink or two. She contemplated asking the flight attendant for advice but decided against it. Ultimately she couldn’t decide anything without talking to him first. So dressed down in a simple t-shirt and jeans, hair in a ponytail and bare faced, Stella made her way to Brooks’ home. It was a nice house, set farther back away from the street. It looked like it had two levels but it wasn’t huge like some other houses she had passed. It was a cozy house for a bachelor, modern but not too austere. Stella exited her rental car and walked up to the door, smiling slightly at the fact that he did have a Ring camera. She rang the bell and waited.

The streets of Devil's Junction buzzed with an eerie quiet. Most people stayed locked inside their homes after the Valentine's Day bombing. The city's pulse slowed to a crawl, making the sight of Stella even more ridiculous. There she went, walking down Devil's Promenade like nothing happened three days ago. Like a casino hadn't exploded and killed someone. Someone needed to explain to her that acting normal right now wasn't the smartest move. The world turned upside down, yet she kept living her life like the rules hadn't changed. "Most people are hiding in their bunkers right now eating canned beans and planning their escape routes," Ezra said, falling into step beside Stella. "But you're out here shopping like it's a normal Tuesday afternoon. I respect the dedication to retail therapy, really. Though maybe next time pick a day when there isn't an active manhunt going on?"

It felt good to lend a helping hand to the Secret Headquarters' booth this Founder's Day. Stevie's proud that Sam's hard work and determination have paid off, as his comic shop's booth is bustling with people checking out the comics and merchandise. Once Stacey bounced in, Stevie tapped out to see how Delilah was handling Sip's booth. He did a check-in wave at it, and as he neared, he saw they had things covered. Huh, he's not used to free time at events, and Stevie glanced around to see what he could do. As he scanned all the options, he spied someone familiar and smiled. It's been quite a while since he last spoke to Stella Schuester, which is a total crime as she's honestly one of the most interesting people he's met in this small city. "Hey Stella!" He waved as he approached her in line. He looked towards the booth and saw that they were selling street corn. "Can't remember the last time we ran into each other, and figured we're long overdue for one. How you been?"

@auntiezelda for a non-witchy world
Arriving in the United States, Stella had quickly learned how differently law enforcement worked from their counterparts in the UK--just as she had quickly learned that her English accent was often the first topic questioned by any officer she had worked with since her arrival--but it had also been blatantly obvious from the beginning that the misogyny was equally rife, and that despite her superior rank, the male officers were as likely to ignore her instructions here as they were on the other side of the Atlantic.
Permitting the release of a body to a local mortuary before she had the chance to inspect the victim herself for potential links to her serial case was the most recent display of male-dominated idiocy.
Arriving at the door of the 'Spellman Mortuary' with a breathless urgency, her determined knock was answered by, much to her pleasant surprise, an incredibly attractive woman who, she had to admit, looked vaguely capable of murder herself; if the wrong person just happened to cross her path.
She immediately flashed her Met badge. "Detective Superintendent Gibson. I believe you are in recent receipt of a body care of the Greendale Sherriff's Department."

#i feel like greendale would have a sherriff's department rather than a police department. they have that vibe haha#threads; stella#auntiezelda

STELLA KWON ☆ SABLE HART
" — And so I said that he needs time, you know, because his sister had just passed away and he could come down and look at her whenever he was ready and..." Stella's story drifts off. "And he would be so surprised to see that his sister grew wings and flew away into the night." When Sable doesn't reply, Stella snaps her fings. "Hey. Are you listening to me?" Her eyes narrow. "...You've seen Richard again, haven't you? I can see it on your face."

Call to Kelly💄
Stella: Look before you say anything, I know this was bad and I know I messed up and I know you'll always have more loyalty to him than to me. I just needed to speak to someone who knows him. My sister helped in that delightfully unhelpful way she has about her.

"Where have you been? I've been worried sick," Hae-Rin said as she slid into the chair opposite her cousin. She placed her leather portfolio on the table with more force than necessary, the sharp sound punctuating her frustration. "I get you're busy, but damn, Stella, you have to consider that your family might be worried about you." She tapped her fingernails against the wooden tabletop, a childhood habit she'd never quite shaken. Eight years in Devil's Junction had taught her patience with many things—the hospital's antiquated filing system, the town's peculiar social codes, even the constant stream of financial fires she had to extinguish—but family who couldn't respect her time wasn't among them. Perhaps she'd been too accommodating of Stella's chaos, too willing to make excuses for someone who clearly didn't value her concern. With the Onyx Circuit targeting prominent families, her anxiety had only intensified when Stella didn't answer her calls.

"Okay, I got the ice cream, the fruit, the bell peppers, and the shrimp cocktail. If you give me five minutes I can plate everything up for you. Make a weird-ass charcuterie board." Stella announced as she walked in the door. London barked once in greeting, before sniffing at the bag. Setting everything down in the kitchen, she went over to Charlie and kissed her forehead. Her hand reached down to gently touch her wife's belly. "Hi mamale, how are you feeling? How's our little one?"

The lunch crowd at the diner thinned out as Aarti caught sight of Stella sitting alone in a corner booth. Perfect timing. She'd been waiting for an opportunity like this. Sliding into the booth next to the other, she waved to get her attention. "Hey you, how are you doing? I haven't seen you around much lately." She set her purse down and grabbed a menu, though food was the last thing on her mind right now. This was about getting her plan into motion. "I've been hanging out with this guy Zach recently," she said, smiling at the waitress who’d just set a glass of water in front of her. "He's such a dreamy guy. Super smart and funny too. Have you met him? I think he might be the one." She watched Stella carefully, hoping her matchmaking plan wasn't too obvious. If this worked, Zach would owe her big time.

Stella waved to a few people that she recognized as they walked. She was good with people, good at making introductions and forging connections. "That's the basic version of it, yes. There's more to why I wanted to study psych, but we'll leave that for a later date when we're better friends. But ultimately, yes I want to help. It's nice that you understand." She shrugged lightly, though the actual topic wasn't light at all. But still, Arielle didn't push, and in a way, seemed to be really considering what Stella said. So many people just thought that she was nothing more than a pretty face, so it was always appreciated when a stranger actually cared about what she had to say. "I won't, I promise. Besides, if I diagnosed you, I'd have to diagnose everyone. Most people have something going on. No one's 100% mentally healthy and perfect. We're always growing and changing."
arielle walked beside her, trying not to feel too self-conscious as they passed clusters of students who all seemed to know exactly where they belonged. but with stella at her side, the nerves settled into something quieter — still present, but no longer in control. "i think that's… kind of lovely, actually," she said after a moment. "wanting people to feel beautiful. not just look it." she glanced over, taking in the ease of stella's stride, the confidence that clung to her like perfume. "you're really passionate about it. psychology, i mean. helping people." arielle's voice softened, like the thought hadn't fully formed until she said it out loud. "i think that says more about you than any major could." and maybe she was saying too much, or maybe she was just saying what stella had been waiting to hear. either way, it felt honest. "just, you know… maybe don't diagnose me just yet." she added with a playful glance, the corner of her mouth lifting. "let me be weird in peace for at least a week."

@honorhearted Ben x Stella (going by Sophie/Robin)
While she was known as The Robin whenever Sackett had to address her as one of his informants, everyone involved in her mission knew her as Sophie Knight, the English noblewoman who had charmed General Harmstrong's very soul, and that had given Stella access to all the intel Sackett could possibly need about his troops, including the involvement of some traitors among Washington's midst. She had gotten the message that there'd be a raid soon and so she had prepared, knowing she'd have to act the part until truly safe so she could rely to Sackett himself the names she couldn't give with coded messages, unlike the intel about the dishonorable, illegal side-jobs the General had taken, which would have led him to a hanging no matter which side found out. She was no professional spy, after all, her cons had generally been about becoming richer or avenging some poor souls when justice couldn't be done, but if this job was paid as well as advertised she may consider doing it again; it wasn't hard, making a man long for the simple chance to kiss her, let alone persuade her to stay, even when they wore an uniform. Speaking of whom, Harmstrong was telling her to use her connections to save her life, since she was simply a woman and would not be judged for her man's fault. "But I can fight them! We can still run!" she begged him, making a show of picking up the decorative umbrella near her, "I could-I could..." "No, my darling, don't fight. It is not in your nature," he assured her, lowering her hand, "Go upstairs, and don't worry about me: we shall see each other again." Only in hell you creepy bastard, hopefully, she thought, pressing a kiss to his lips before running upstairs.
Thankfully, or perhaps because Sackett was certain of his loyalty, the man in charge of the group sent to her was Benjamin Tallmadge, someone she knew not to be in Harmstrong's pockets. "Found his lover-" a soldier started saying, and the slap she gave to his chest was so purposefully weak that it earned a look of genuine pity from the man.
"You will not walk into my bedroom uninvited! I'm a lady! You cannot do this!" "We are not going to harm you if... Sir?" he called for Tallmadge, searching for help with the hysterical woman. "You monsters! You will pay for what you are doing! My General will go free and hunt you all down!" she shrieked, allowing another soldier to at least guide her outside of the room, to lower the chances of getting hit over what she was saying, "What has the King ever done to you, why must you fight honest men, what are you getting out of it?"

"I think... I think I need a doctor." (From nick, to whoever bites)
"Just hold on, baby. We're almost at the hospital." Stella kept pressure on his bleeding wound. "You're gonna be okay. They're gonna take care of you and everything's going to be fine."
She looked to her dad in the driver's seat, silently begging him to drive faster. Nick had to come out of this okay. He just had to.
