Steo AU: Heartbeat Rising

When Stiles's childhood best friend rolls back into town after leaving for nine years following the tragic car accident that killed Theo's older sister and injured Theo and himself, Stiles should have been ecstatic.

But there is something off about this Theo. For one, Stiles hasn't seen his parents around, although he looks to have the support - a car, money, a place he goes home to, and he seems to be in full shape considering that he just came back to the town where his sister had died.

But still, there's a lingering doubt in Stiles especially, when he starts noticing odd details about Theo. Like the fact that he's hot to the touch, like a furnace in jeans and a leather jacket with no visible illness. He has a particular fascination with Stiles's neck - cupping it possessively and nuzzling into it anytime possible, forgoing subtlety. And he crushes a lacrosse ball that almost hit Stiles on the face with a single hand. It's also hard to ignore that he disappears on nights of the full moon.

Stiles starts following him, observing him more closely, researching scientific conditions and explanations for Theo's behavior that disprove what he already believes. Stiles understands that it's absolutely insane and far-fetched. But it can't all be wild coincidences, can it?

College AU: The Roommate Agreement

Driving back to their dorm after a failed Valentine's Day Celebration and going home dateless, partner-less, potential one-night-stand-less, Theo offers Stiles the classic roommate agreement: one room, two attractive, sexually-compatible bisexuals, in a no strings attached, mutually beneficial arrangement.

Stiles can't say no. Theo enjoys making him scream yes.

Steo AU: The Mercenary and the Emissary

Theo gets arrested when he's revealed to be an accomplice to the visiting mercenaries threatening the town.

This group of people works for a witch with instructions to collect specific body parts from different supernatural creatures - preferably werewolves. Their target is Beacon Hills and the Hale Pack, for which Stiles, the town Sheriff's son, is the emissary. The assassins betray the agreement to negotiate the terms of their service. They attack and capture half of the pack, including Stiles.

Theo desperately tries to convince the Sheriff to get him out, so he could help rescue the abducted pack - more specifically, to ensure Stiles's safety. But the Sheriff is suspicious of his motive, despite Liam's assurance that Theo had already double-crossed his people for Stiles when he walked himself into prison without a fight.

Lethal Two (a Steo AU)

Beacon Academy is a government-run school that trains orphans as young as five years old to become secret field operatives. The number one rule - as Argent has drilled into their brains since the first day - is that there should be "no attachments" among the group. Their identities have also been changed, their old names forgotten, and they answer to the agent number assigned to them. Agent 24 is the top trainee with exceptional skills in the field, as well as a remarkably high IQ. But with that comes his curiosity of the life outside of the academy - the life of a normal seventeen-year-old boy.

When they're given a mission to capture Derek Hale, a notorious illegal arms dealer and a previous top agent of Beacon Academy, Agent 24 successfully latches himself and the target onto Argent's jet, apprehending the criminal. But 24 falls into a river before he can be pulled up. When the base fails to reach him through the comms, Argent declares him missing.

But the truth is, Agent 24 has grabbed the chance to escape the Academy. He poses as a Polish exchange student, and for the first time in many years, uses his real name again: Stiles.

Just when everything seems perfect and Stiles is finally living the life he only used to fantasize about in the academy - an average American home with an average American host family, an average high school, an absurd lacrosse coach, an actual friend - he bumps into an old familiar face from his life before.

Agent 23, Stiles's most awful rival in the Academy, has followed him to ruin the life of his dreams.

But is it really why he followed?

"You're deluded if you think I'm going to trust you." Stiles scoffs, unclenching his fists around the fabric of 23's shirt and pushing at his chest. He feels just a little satisfied at the small hiss that escapes 23's mouth. "All your life you dedicated to trying to beat my ass to second place. Well, you can have it," he shrugs. "You can have Rank 1 because I'm over it. I don't want to go back to the Academy."

23 looks like he wants to strangle and yell at Stiles, but he manages to calm himself after a deep inhale. "You're right to be suspicious-" Stiles scoffs loudly again at this, but 23 doesn't let it stop him. "But I am not trying to trick you. It's true that my mission was to bring you back," he admits, "But as soon as I got a lock on your location, I escaped. Josh covered for me."

Stiles pauses his fuming and frowns, "Josh?"

23 nods, "Agent 93."

Stiles is unable to hide his surprise. He blinks, "You know 93's name?"

"Just like I know yours, 24." 23 replies. Stiles sputters scandalously, forgetting his previous anger in favor of a new one. Is 23 spying on them, then? Is he a mole planted in the Academy to be Argent's eyes or something? Aren't they prisoners enough at that goddamn place? Before Stiles can spiral further, 23 explains. "You carved it in your bedside drawer."

Stiles is in disbelief because he did carve it in his drawer. But- "It's in Polish."

23 smirks, arching an eyebrow. "You're forgetting I'm rank 2. I studied Polish in my spare time when I realized you were."

Stiles shakes his head, his jaws clenching. He absolutely can't believe what he's hearing right now. It's incredulous, what jealousy can do. "You were that desperate to beat me?"

"No," 23 denies, slightly appalled at the idea. He looks at Stiles's eyes, "I was that desperate to know you." 23 looks so sincere that Stiles is almost convinced, if only he isn't familiar with Argent's fuckery design and 23's deep-set hatred of him. His torture chamber probably awaits him once he stupidly falls to the act.

He grits his teeth, fists closing tightly and body tensing up in preparation of a fight. "You're one lie away from losing all your teeth, twenty-"

"It's Theo, Stiles." 23 manages to throw him off-kilter once more. His jaw drops at the sound of his name and he stares at 23. 23 wets his lips, looking unsure for the first time. "Call me by my name. Because whether you believe me or not, I'm still not going back to the Academy. Not if the only person I stayed for isn't there anymore."

Stiles wants to believe him, but his training has taught him never to trust anybody - especially his fellow agents. The "no attachments" rule is perfect for one thing: if the organization ever needs to bring down a liability, everyone scrambles to do the work to prove their worth.

Stiles curls his lips, "Even if what you're saying is the truth, you know Argent's not going to stop hunting us, right? Not when he knows I'm not dead and that you ran away, too."

In Stiles's utter bewilderment, 23 smiles at him. "You and I aren't Rank 1 and 2 for nothing, Stiles. We were raised to be soldiers." A dangerous glint shows in his eyes. "If there's one thing we're best at, it's beating everyone else."
