Repost from last year because it’s still so relevant & I’m still doing it 😩🙈 Today I needed a reminder and maybe you did to? ... ..... 𝑪𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒖𝒎𝒆 . What does that mean to you? I’ll tell you a little story… For a long time I would wake up before going into my studio and scroll through my social media accounts, promising myself it would be a quick scroll. 🙄 it never was and I would end up sitting in my studio afterwards thinking I wasn’t good enough, I didn’t have enough followers, my feed sucked and I should Just quit and leave it up to the ‘pros’ 🙈 . It’s easy to get drawn in and waste a few minutes or hours on social media and before you know it your brain is clogged with whatever rubbish you’ve been looking at and you’re either feeling super inspired (rarely) or extremely defeated. Now you’ve burned the time that you could’ve been doing something constructive and you’ve also burned precious mental energy. ✨My goal for 2020 and I hope you can join me as well - is to ✋🏽 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 Whenever you are tempted to wander down the Internet rabbit hole just repeat to yourself create before you consume, put the phone down and continue with your work. Use all that precious time you will now have to sit down with a notebook and journal ideas that come from your heart.
