children of aegon targaryen II and aemma velaryon I

rhaegar targaryen I "the unburnt," rider of asarion

rhaegar is the firstborn son of aegon and shaera and the heir to the iron throne. he's described as being "lean and broad shouldered" with hair that reaches his mid neck and soft brown eyes. in his youth he was said to be quite pretty for a man and the spitting image of his mother.

at eight years of age rhaegar became one of the youngest dragon riders in targaryen history, having successfully mounted his dragon asarion and flown with him across the red keep.

his status as "rhaegar the unburnt" was earned in the battle of dragonbane, where he fought alongside his brother laenor with their soldiers. those who survived the battle have stated that rhaegar was trapped in a burning tent after it had been attacked by enemies, and left it unscathed, earning his title as the unburnt.

saera targaryen II "joy of the realm," rider of silvermist

saera was born just a few minutes after her brother rhaegar, being much paler than him in complexion and closely resembling their father aegon. in her youth she was described as a "comely girl" who grew into her looks rather quickly, earning her admiration from both men and women alike. many tourneys were held in competition for her hand but the princess was said to be "hard to impress and quick to bore."

at the age of twelve saera began to ride her dragon silvermist, spending more time in the skies than on the ground.

her title as "joy of the realm" was given as a commemoration to her great beauty and intellectual prowess, as the princess was just as fond of books and histories as she was of her dragon.

laenor targaryen II "the brave," rider of moonfyre

laenor is the youngest son of aegon and shaera, being born just a year after the twins. he is described as very beautiful early on in his youth with "a striking face and feminine features," making him very popular like his sister saera. he was named in honor of his mother's late father, laenor velaryon I.

laenor claimed moonfyre at eleven years old, the dragon being one of the eggs found in cerys' clutch. it's possible that moonfyre could've been the son of aegon's dragon sunfyre.

his title as "laenor the brave" was given to him after his victory in the battle of dragonbane alongside his brother rhaegar.

daena targaryen I "the dragon dreamer," rider of stormdancer

daena is the second daughter of aegon and shaera, having been born two years after laenor.

her appearance is described as "pale and round" with her father's soft features and her mother's brown eyes. from a young age she's claimed to have had dreams about the past, present, and future, which could mean that she is a dragon dreamer like daenys and helaena targaryen.

daena claimed stormdancer at the age of thirteen, a bit later than her brothers and sister. unlike them she does not have a fondness for heights and prefers to stroll the gardens in her freetime.

viserra targaryen II "the songbird," rider of lyrax

viserra is the youngest child of all her siblings, born a year after daena. she was an unplanned pregnancy and shaera was said to have been in labor for nearly two days before she was able to deliver viserra to the world.

her features were said to be "strikingly targaryen" with arryn blue eyes, which she could've inherited from her great grandmother aemma arryn. she is the meekest of aegon and shaera's children but talkative when comfortable.

while viserra did claim her dragon lyrax at the age of ten, she preferred the arts and was very proficient in singing, earning her the title of "songbird." she also enjoyed different kinds of literature such as fiction and poetry.

Curse of Strahd is over. Spelljammer / Dungeon of the Mad Mage is beginning. This is my girl, Klar Stormdancer.  ------------------------------------

Or at least, that is what I heard them say once, when I was younger. Perhaps they hoped for a more benevolent God to take notice. Perhaps not. It is true that had I belonged to Kossuth, Istishia, or even Akadi, I might be leading my tribe today. Alas, not. Most sane tribes seek to avoid the eye of Talos entirely, but the best they could hope for was to raise me without arousing his ire. A dangerous child. I hurt many by accident, in those days.

When I was of age, they turned me out to wander. I did. I met many people, and I did not stay in one place for long, followed closely by storm and quake as I tended to be. For many years, I turned my back on my God. I’m not sure he even took notice, but for me the silence was deafening. Eventually I relented. To run with the lightning through the dark desert nights is like nothing else.

We have an understanding now. I will call on him, and people will die. But I will be the eye of the storm, and keep those I care for safe.

Sorry, I can’t just choose one. Even my most consistent favorites (with anime as an exception) change every few years or so, and usually it has to be organized by genre, and when I saw it, and so forth. 

Sorry for those rules, but, they’re necessary for this kind of breakdown.

SIDENOTE: I recommend the masterful Redwall series by Brian Jacques to just about anyone. Disregard the fact that they’re animal fiction. Honestly, they opened my world to literature and fantasy when I was very young, and I looked up to Jacques’ writing style (along with Paolini) for the majority of my childhood until I grew into my own. 

Okay. Now, favorite movies? 

I love movies as much as I love books. I live for film critique and extensive analysis in just about anything I watch, so this opinion is even picker by comparison. I’ll just stick to… a handful, that I’ve loved over the last few years. I could break them down into various lists but that would take too long. 

I’m also taking my anime/animated favorites out of this list since I already posted one earlier… and it would be too hard to sort through it and find ones I would pick over others. It’s just in a league of its own, in all honesty.

I will also post a list with my favorite animated films separately from this because those are just… very special to me, and I don’t think about them in the same way as I do with live-action films. So both anime and animated will be left out of this.

I have so many more I could put on here, but… those are what popped into mind and I could write essays on why I adore each and every one. They’re all worth the look. Please watch them if you haven’t. 

I think I’ll list Amadeus as my favorite, if I had to choose… it’s the most inspiring, masterfully crafted homage to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart I have ever seen, and the acting, writing, and overall fantastic production design and story are all phenomenal. One of the best films ever made, and I recommend it to every single person I know at some point.

My first fandom? 

Um… I believe it was Bleach? Man, those were the days. Haha. Yeah, I think it was Bleach. I really loved that anime and it was part of the “gateway” fandom experience for me, and was the first anime I really got into aside from, you know, classic childhood favorites like Pokémon. 

I still enjoy the first two seasons quite a bit, and Rukia Kuchiki was my favorite female character in anything for a good while.

My first hardcore ship?

Haha. Um. Speaking of Bleach… my first hardcore ship was a crack pairing (I liked a lot of crack pairings in high school). Hitsugaya Toushiro/Rukia Kuchiki, otherwise known collectively as HitsuRuki, was my ultimate OTP for the longest time. 

This ship, clearly, still has a place in my heart, but because I’ve definitely lost all interest in Bleach at this point, the ship suffers. Oh well. It was great while it lasted and it drew me into a fandom.

My current ships?

My permanent favorite OTP is Gon Freecss/Killua Zoldyck, otherwise known as KilluGon, from Hunter x Hunter, and I also really, really love Katsuki Bakugou/Izuku Midoriya - otherwise known as KatsuDeku / BakuDeku - from Boku no Hero Academia. 

So, yep. Those are my ships. 

My top five shows? Haha, this is way, way easier to answer… I’m so much pickier with shows and trying them out in comparison to books and movies. (I’m a very picky person in general but it fluctuates depending on the medium). 

I’ll include anime in this one.

Am I a dog or cat person?

I like… BOTH. 

But for different reasons! I love cats and I love dogs. But, I mean, mostly big dogs, and I’m not really a fan of small dogs… they’re yippy and annoying.

Big dogs like to tackle me to the ground though, so that’s kind of frightening, even though I love them and cats seem to resent me wherever I go. I can bear the one-sided affection though because I appreciate them.
