hi! i have a question abt ur "lore" i guess lmao, some vampires like bri and vlad have white hair, and some don't. is there a reason or any lore behind it. loving standstill so far <3

helloooo and good morning 😁 vampirism “corrupts” the human’s appearance so to say, which is why all vampires have unnaturally colored eyes pointed ears fangs etc. someone’s hair changing color is a typical side effect to becoming a vampire. and in vlad’s case his hair turned grey and his skin greyed too, but that’s more of a rarity among those who were transformed into vamps. grey skin is way more common for naturally born vampires, aka vampire children w vampire parents. it’s basically just a side effect of inheriting a vampire’s magic 👍🏻 and some vampires view the skin greying as a sign of a vampire with greater magical abilities, since the magic appears to fully “corrupt” your physical appearance so to say, but that isn’t always the case. like nobody views vlad as the strongest vampire just bc his skin is grey, it’s more like an indication like ohhhh maybe he’s got some magical tricks up his sleeve. i hope that makes sense! and thank you so much i appreciate you so much!!! ;-;

ahhh im glad you remembered that detail!! that was the beginning of thanatophobia, aka the first draft of the vlad/brie backstory. standstill is like thanatophobia's spiritual successor, the second draft if you will!! it's going to tell the story of how breanna and vladislaus meet and fall in love and how they become integrated into the world of humans, like we see in the straud legacy. generation 0 of the straud legacy is what i called the deleted portion of the straud legacy, it's the true 1st generation of straud. so the timeline is: standstill -> straud legacy generation 0 -> straud legacy generation 1 (current).

buuuuuuuuut i plan on remaking straud legacy generation 0 to post here after im done with standstill. and then after all that is done i can pick up with klaus and anastasia in generation 1!! and allllllll of the straud legacy and lore will be posted to one place! yippeeeeee finally 🤸‍♂️

hello anon, im a little confused by this question! what do you need summarizing? standstill? bc standstill hasn't started yet, it will debut january 31st, so there's nothing to summarize aha.

and if you've never read the straud legacy before, that's totally okay. standstill is a prequel to the straud legacy, so you don't need to know anything about the straud legacy to read standstill :) actually it's kinda the opposite, i want standstill to be the thing people read first to introduce themselves to the straud legacy, so the circumstances of the straud legacy will hopefully be a little clearer with this story posted for context.

since we're on the topic, i plan on remaking generation zero, the deleted/archived generation of straud legacy, after standstill is completed. so the remake of generation zero of straud legacy will act as the segue between standstill and the straud legacy.

all this to say, if you're asking for a summary of the straud legacy, i promise it isn't that important to summarize and you're not missing out on anything lol. since i plan on remaking a major chunk of it anyways :) and all of that will be posted before i pick up where i left off in straud legacy! sooooooo yeah it will be a while before we see the straud teens again, but hopefully the journey will be a fun one okay? 😭❤
