i really love the more capitalistic motivations with vile in this episode with causing people to go hungry just to sell their own products. it makes them evil in a much more sinister way than just “they steal” and i wish later seasons kept with that idea

coach brunts attitude when it comes to both carmen and shadowsan that the fact that she treated them as family means that they should have fully like. stayed loyal to and acted within the requirements of vile even when those are so moral bankrupt and controls. i think its interesting bc she obvs feels a very deep sense of betrayal from both of their actions (and its not wrong to say that she has been betrayed) but when those actions are them going against the strict and controls requirements of vile what she ultimately feels betrayed by is the fact that they are their own people and not just extensions of vile

god... you find out right after that hes lying to get carmen away from vile obvs but carmens anger at the idea that shadowsan lied to her about him finded her as a baby.. bc hes right that is where shes the most vunerable bc shes desperately wants to know about her past and who she really is after what she was raised in her whole life turned out to be wrong

idk what was going on with like. the acme knowing abt shadowsan being vile and seeing carmen with him thing like. i have a feeling that where going to do something with it in season three maybe and then changed plans (bc in general season 3 is so disconnected in season 2 but thats a topic for another day) but then why bring julia into it when she never gets it clarified at least on screen that shaodwsan is no longer with vile

ALSO JESUS CHRIST SHADOWSAN TYING UP ZACK AND IVY. i tihnk its interesting that at the start he is still very moral grey in a lot of ways (and considering the next episode likely bc he thinks hes beyond becoming a better person after all hes done) but also JESUS ??
