A tin serving tray with a colourful enamelled design. Made in 1980 and what a wonderful piece for your kitchen and Fred collection. Just a look at this tray will make your day a happy one. Its such a superb design reminiscent of The Beetles Magical Mystery Bus (or at least that's what it makes me think of). Bright, colourful and immensely cheerful. It has signs of use as has been highlighted in the photos and yet the piece is still looking great. There's is light surface scratches the the surface and quite a lot of marking on the back. Produced to celebrate the marriage of Edward - Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII) to Princess Alexandra of Denmark. The jug is moulded with the four crests of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland along with the Prince of Wales Feathers. The handle is hand crafted into a twisted branch shape and applied. The base is stamped 'Albion' (An Ancient name for Britain), Cobridge and W.B. for William Brownfield along with the Rd (Registered Design) kite mark dating it to 1863. The piece is in extraordinarily good condition for its age. It has a very good, small mend on the rim, this can be seen in the pictures and is only on the inside, it does not affect the outside, there is also a hairline around the same spot. Other than that this piece is excellent.
