There was something about the spring time that could lighten even the darkest of death eater’s hearts. Not that Evan Rosier would know because out of all the death eaters he was probably the least dark to start with. However spring time did bring a joy to Evan Rosier because it meant the start of socially acceptable floral shirt season. If there was one thing that Evan loved more than anything in this world it was his wardrobe, maybe even more than his fiancee, and there was nothing he looked forward to more than being able to resume his shorts, floral shirt, and Birkenstock uniform. There was one thing the muggles were good for and it was definitely their clothes.
Today, however, Evan was shopping in Diagon Alley. A few new clothing boutiques had sprung up in the last few months and with the weather getting warmer he decided now was the time to add a few more pieces to his collection. A client had cancelled their morning meeting so Evan was free to shop and do as he pleased. “It’s Prada, don’t touch me” maybe that wasn’t the best way to tell the too attentive shop attendant to stand down but Evan was busy flicking through racks as the shop girl asked about his shirt. “If I need any help I’ll ask for it” he told the girl, moving away from her with a polite smile as he went to look through a display of shorts. “You’d think more people would recognize Prada without me having to tell them” it wasn’t really a comment to the person at the display next to him, but more under his breath. Upon realizing someone was standing there Evan gave a slight shrug, “Sorry I just don’t like people touching my clothes”.

Lucius’s mother didn’t often make recommendations for him to read other articles in magazines, because she assumed he was doing that sort of research without needing to be told. So when she had mentioned one to him, he had taken it seriously that he should read it.
Hi ex-girlfriend had been interviewed by a no-name American magazine. No doubt she thought it made her important, but Lucius wasn’t impressed. However when she had been asked about their relationship, she had been more candid than he would have liked. And more delusional when it came to the chances of them getting back together.
The cafe he was in was bustling and he asked the person next to him:
“Do you have a quill I could borrow?”

Marlene had always been a temperamental person, but this had brought her to a new state of anger. She knew she probably looked like a mad woman, but she couldn’t stop herself from running up and down, trying desperately to find a solution to this horrible situation that had been presented to her. She still couldn’t believe the Ministry would think such a decision to be benefitting anyone. It was a vile act of idiocy and racism and she couldn’t understand how anyone could consider this a good idea. Finally, she stopped in her pursuit to walk a dent in the floor and looked at the person in front of her.
“There has got to be way to stop this madness. To... to work against the ministry without breaking any laws. To help those people”, she said, feeling the need to run her hands through her hair, but she didn’t want to look like any more of a maniac than she already appeared and made herself drop them to her sides. “We... we could boycott all magical orphanages so there’s no place for the kids anymore. Oh, no, that won’t work, what about the poor kids already there? We, uh, we could find muggleborn kids ourselves and convince the families to leave the country. Oh, but how would we do that? And it’s probably not even legal. And they might find us insane. We, uh, we could open our own orphanage. And not let anyone adopt any kids. That’d work, right? I’m great with kids. I think.”

February 20 Open
Since the rioting, Helena had stayed closer to muggle London than Diagon Alley. She was still a bit concerned about the heightened political situation, though it seemed that Crouch was good for something – the situation seemed at least stable now, or more stable than it had before. Even so, going into magical London was different than it had been before and if she had not needed to pick up a few potions, she would not have gone out in wizarding public at all.
Even with her coat on, one could tell that Helena was pregnant if they looked at her from the side or the front. She was nearing six months along now and had begun to be very careful about where she went when leaving the house, a bit nervous when surrounded by large crowds. As she left the apothecary, she shrunk the potions and put them into her handbag carefully while she looked around the alley itself.
The ring on her finger sparkled in the sunlight and Helena allowed herself a small smile before deciding that she’d like a warm drink before heading back home. There was a café on one of the side streets and she quickly was shown to a table near the window. She had just ordered a cup of tea when a shadow fell over her table. Helena’s eyes widened in surprise.

Beyond Exhausted | Open
Diagon Alley January 29 Open
James was furious. Or he would be if he wasn’t so tired.
The Ministry was in a shambles, Alastor Moody had been stood down, and the riots in Diagon Alley had left the place a mess. With many aurors resigning or taking leave in protest, those who remained had been forced to pick up extra shifts. James felt like he had been on his feet for three days, and he wasn’t too far off the mark.
Everything about the situation angered him. From the way the Death Eaters had been able to waltz into the Ministry, to the aurors being blamed for their deaths and injuries that had occurred, to the outrage that was now directed not just at the Ministry but at the Order. None of it was right, and now that Alastor Moody had left the Department, the Muggleborn Curfew had been implemented, and there was no longer even the appearance of democracy? It was difficult to find the silver lining.
While he had no reason to distrust Crouch, he had no reason to trust the Interim Minister’s new advisors. And while he didn’t agree with what had happened, if he left the aurors he would not only be helping out the ones who had been truly corrupted, but he would never become an auror himself. He was still in the first year of his three year training program, so leaving would only mean that he had wasted the last six months. He was married now, which meant he had to think about more than just himself.
And he was just so tired.
“Curfew’s soon,” he said, hating himself. “You all sorted?”

It was official. Alice Fortescue was truly and officially at her wit’s end.
Her office was supposed to be repaired days ago, and yet here she was scribbling away furiously in her notebook at some attempt at work. Really anything that she could do at this point to make herself look productive as normal  would have been welcome, but then again, that had all changed in a blink of an eye. Regardless of the future of the Ministry, it didn’t change the fact that it was incredibly hard to get any work done while distractions sounded all around her.
From the chatter of a noisy couple three tables down to the lazy, rhythmic tapping of the wizards wand to her left, it was only becoming increasingly difficult for Alice to concentrate on the task she’d put herself on. Granted, the final straw wasn’t so bad looking back on it, but added with every single other frustration she’d had in the span of her day, it was enough to send her over the edge. A groan escaped her lips as she tossed her quill onto the table in front of her before dropping her head in her hands. At that point, she’d assured herself of one thing: the pursuit of trying to get anything done in a place like this was entirely useless.
“Right, then.” She finally spoke up after a moment of terse silence, sounding almost as if she were trying to assure herself of her own words than anyone else. “It’s just a little noise is all. I’ll just wait for things to calm down and then hopefully I can manage to get something done. Not a problem at all, yeah?”

January 28th Hogsmeade
One phone call. One five minute call from her parents was all it took to send Simone’s world into a tailspin. A few hours later and they were at her flat, helping her pack a few things and taking her away from what felt like a nightmare. While at home she had turned off her phone, trying to shut out the world and just be with her family- or what was left of it. During the day she stayed by her parents side, keeping a brave face for their sakes and holding her mother wherever she cried about her lost son. But at night Simone curled into her bed in her childhood bedroom, hoping if she stayed there long enough she would somehow wake up and everything would be right in the world again.
Thorfinn would be alive and well, texting her about meeting up for dinner sometime soon. They’d meet and share some laughs about the ridiculous things they had done when they were younger. Then go off on their separate ways again, but with the knowledge that both were safe and happy. As long as Simone kept her eyes closed she could picture that. She could remember his smile from the last time they’d seen each other and pretend it was still there now.
But playing pretend only worked on the stage. And hiding away would only guard her for so long. The sooner she ripped off the bandage the sooner she could try to find a new normal. After promising her parents she’d only be a phone call away, Simone returned to Diagon Alley with every intention to head back to her flat. But first she decided a pit stop for some kind of herbal tea, something to soothe her nerves, was necessary. Heading into Hogsmeade for the few errands she needed done, she walked with her head down trying to keep to herself.

@potions-and-plants
Alessandra Rowle had come to the auction as Lucius’ plus one, not wanting to attend an event on her own so soon after Thorfinn had died. She had left him speaking to a business associate and had gone off in search of a drink. Once she’d gotten her flute of champagne – it automatically refilled itself, which she found even more fascinating – she had begun to mingle through the crowd. There were so many individuals who had barely spoken to her in weeks yet who flocked around her now. Vultures; the whole lot of them.
Allie had just begun to look at some of the wares up for auction when she noticed a woman out of the corner of her eye. Though she had not officially met the woman Severus was seeing, she had seen her at the townhouse and was curious. Taking another sip of her drink, Allie moved closer with a smile on her face. “You’re Sofia, right?” she asked pleasantly, her tone polite and genuine. “I am Alessandra. I’m afraid I haven’t introduced myself before, but I live with Lucius and Severus.”

January 2nd, late afternoon Benjy’s Office
The uptenth sneeze of the day escaped Benjy’s mouth, and he couldn’t help but groan out loud before whipping his laptop screen with the back of his sleeve. Amadeus had perked up and was looking at him with frustration, probably tired of having been woken up from his naps all day long by Benjy’s incessant coughing and nose-blowing. Indeed, it seemeds that the freezing temperatures of London combined to the lack of sleep didn’t make good friends with Benjy’s constitution, thus he had already caught his first 2018 cold.
Looking for a new packet of tissues had become the new mission, and when his hands only found empty snack wrappers in his desks’ drawers, Benjy rolled on his chair towards the messy shelf. He rummaged fastly inside a box and a smile erupted on his face when he finally found what he had been looking for, but as he was about to blow his stuffed up a nose, someone knocked on his open door.
"Hi I’m sorry, I don’t have any phones left in stock, but don’t worry you can come back tomorrow to get yours exchanged.” Benjy said with genuine regret in his voice as he turned around to face the visitor, guessing why they were at his doorstep. So many wizards and witches had appeared in his office today thanks to his public announcement, worry and confusion etched on their faces, and even if Benjy had offered as much reassurance as he had been able to, he still felt quite powerless in this grand foolish scheme of hierarchy. His questions and calls had been left unanswered and, for the first significant time, Benjy was as clueless as the Wizarding world on a matter related to Technology. And he hated that.

Eyed || December 2, 2017 || OPEN
Date: December 2 Location: Horizont Alley Winter Market Opening
With everything that had been going on lately, Moody was on edge. More so than usual. He felt as if he were watching the world slowly descend into madness and there was nothing he could do to stop it. After the story about Dumbledore leaked, trying to say anything to refute it was like trying to extinguish a roaring forest fire with only a small stream of water shooting out of a wand. Pointless and exhausting. When asked for comment, Alastor said the same thing every time: “Dumbledore is a good man, and a great wizard.” People stopped asking him after a while.
Today, Moody had made a special detour to look around Horizont Alley’s Winter Market. Everything was a potential target these days. Moody knew if he were a Death Eater looking to stir up trouble, this was where he’d come. Everyone was enjoying the season and looking forward to Christmas. The streets were crowded with people, and for the first time in a long time, there was no aura of fear pervading the air. Alastor only hoped it would stay that way.
Feeling the prickle on the back of his neck that indicated he was being watched, Alastor turned. Luckily, he didn’t have to look far to find the source of the eyes. “There are plenty more interesting things to look at here than me. I suggest you go enjoy them.”

Hogsmeade
February 10th
It was a beautiful Saturday in Hogsmeade when Evan Rosier stepped out. The birds were singing, the air felt fresh, and for once there was not snow on the ground. It seemed that maybe spring would be coming early to the United Kingdom, or so Evan Rosier could hope.
The cold was never good on his joints or his mood and at twenty five years old it made him feel closer to forty. Therefore the warmness of spring was a welcomed one and this pseudo-warmness did wonders for his mood. For the first time in a long time, Evan Rosier did not wear a scowl.
After running his assorted errands: tea shop, potions shop, jeweler, and of course Honeydukes, Evan was deciding whether it was time to pop home or maybe shop for a few new items for his upcoming trip to Iceland. Did he need a new coat? Not at all. Did he want a new coat? Absolutely. So Evan Rosier was going to get a new coat.
Stepping into one of the shops he frequented Evan set about perusing for something that would strike his fancy. In front of a display of coats stood someone else but Evan was far too captured in the coats themselves to really pay attention to the person just to his right. “Black is more practical, I look best in navy, but that camel is stunning. I think I should just buy all three....and maybe that olive colour as well because I deserve it”.

Tell me all your secrets
Location: Flourish and Blotts Date: 20.3.2018 Time: 3pm With: @august-infandum
It felt weird being back in this bookstore. Although Marlene enjoyed reading, she didn’t usually come to Flourish and Blotts to get her books but rather to some of the muggle book stores around London. She enjoyed reading muggle literature, getting to know their culture, their view on life from any perspective she could find. Thus, she hadn’t been back inside this particular book store since her Hogwarts days and it made her feel weirdly nostalgic.
Now, she was only in here for a very specific reason only. With everything that had happened recently, Marlene had realized she needed to educate herself more on wizarding history as well. To make her argument compelling, to really be able to found her beliefs on facts and their society’s history, she needed to know it, learn it. And so Marlene planned to get as many magical history books as she could find. At the moment, she was already carrying five under her right arm.

December 31
The surprise at the Christmas Ball had not gone over well with him, upon hearing he’d have to surrender his wand and have his safety in the hands of the Ministry he’d simply turned on his heel and left. As if he was going to trust his well being in their clumsy hands as their precautions had been foiled at every event they had. It had made him look forward to this party all the more needing to have some fun since it had been denied to him.
Hog’s Head - Order of the Phoenix Party
When he entered the pub his first stop was at the bar grabbing himself a drink before he surveyed the room around him. “What do you think the likelihood of seeing Moody drunk is?” he questioned turning to the person beside him. “Sure would start the new year off with a bang,” he chuckled. That was something he would pay to see, but he doubted the Auror would ever let his guard down enough to become drunk.
Diagon Alley Party
A drink was, of course, the first order of business, what was new years without a little alcohol? Thanks to Simone he had his trusty, never empty flask and he poured some of its contents into the non-alcoholic drink he’d grabbed. He pulled out his phone wondering which party Remus was at currently, he’d forgotten the order of parties they’d agreed on and sent him a scroll message to check. Feeling eyes on him he looked up, a smile on his lips. “Just making sure my New Year’s kiss is all lined up. How are you fairing on that front? Planning ahead, or just grabbing someone in the moment?”
