Okay, let’s talk about the racism that went down regarding Erlang fans. For example, a minor was accused of sexualizing their own religion, and people who hate Erlang called him (a literal deity) “unseasoned chicken”. People mocking and harassing children who grew up with that religion for being attached to their deities, and-

… Oh wait, you just want me to talk about it when it specifically makes the people on the side of Erlang fans look bad? Because you don’t really give a fuck about racism OR the misogyny you used as an excuse to harass them (harassment you were doing BEFORE anyone was racist, by the way, so you can’t use that as a “but the other side is just as bad!” argument)? And you only PRETEND to give a fuck about marginalized groups when it’s out of spite, or when you can use it to excuse yourself of horrid actions?? Okay I see you!!!

Red Son is drawn as Toko here. Toko is a character who is one alter in a 2-alter system. The other alter in Toko’s system is an infamous and violent serial murderer. It’s all, like. Horrifyingly ableist. A literal caricature of systems.

Literally every system that I know is VIOLENTLY uncomfortable with this art. Especially since this person is presumably a singlet. So yeah

Edit: For clarification, this isn’t fanart, this is art from an official crew member, which is why I am placing higher standards on them. If this was some random fanartist I wouldn’t even begin to care. Also I’m just annoyed about it, so I’m bitching about it, I’m not saying that they should be harassed or whatever. i just wanted to ask, would you ever share your account on twitter so people who don’t want to be posted to other social media sites aren’t? mainly because of the whole erlang video inciting a lot of malice towards people who were angered by the results even after the whole situation has died down and posts have been deleted.

Obviously, though, I don’t condone harassment. I lightheartedly poke fun at these people because they’re glorified bullies trying to live out their high school mean girl fantasies over a LEGO poll. If anyone goes back and bullies them in turn, then that person’s equally as bad and is not the arbiter of justice they think they are.

I literally have acknowledged the context multiple times, but it’s nice that it’s being addressed.

Still of the opinion that the art should be taken off Twitter, though, personally. Because they are associating LMK with DR (and Toko and Syo) by having it up on a crew member’s Twitter, which is my main issue. I think that it should have stayed in the server instead of being posted, since the media and especially the characters of Toko and Syo are so loaded.

At the very least, I’m happy to see the concerns of systems being seriously addressed and not being made fun of. (Yes, I am aware that the bar is on the floor.)

am i the only one who thinks it is weird that when people were saying the suggestive spicynoodles artwork was of them 'bordelrine f-ing' that every example shown except ONE was of them just kissing or cuddling or in an awkward position (like red son falling on mk during a fight) as a joke when they were fully clothed? some of the artwork was suggestive as hell but they weren't 'bordering f-ing'.

Yeah, like I said in the tags, people were being weird prudes about it all.

The fact that I know this wave of asks that I’ve gotten (including more s/h bait that I haven’t posted) is from the people who were calling misogyny and attacking Erlang fans on Twitter, that I’ve now pissed off, REALLY isn’t making me much more sympathetic to y’all’s case.
