Look, I know shipping (as in, sending packages) isn't exactly like, highly regarded, okay, but I did it professionally for like almost 10 years and I enjoy it and I'm really good at it, and I know it's not like, a difficult job. Put thing in box > label box > send it out

But also there's technique, there's paperwork, there's resource management, all kinds of stuff ok

And now I work in client support for warehouse software and sometimes I see questions come in that are like, "my shipping team keeps messing up [easy thing], how do we idiotproof it? What can you as a company do to make sure my guys don't have this issue?" And I just sit here like skill issue skill issue skill issue skill issue skill iss-

#i would simply never #i take so much pride in my shipping ability t b f h #i miss it all the time but not as much as i hated going into a physical building to work #last time we moved and i got to bust out my professionally purchased tape gun for home use i was so happy #and look i know there are probably nuances and everyone's different etc etc etc #but i have worked with so many shippers that simply Did Not Care so I'm inclined to believe that that's the reason #i have met like. 1 shipper in my career that gave as much of a shit as i did #i get. so passionate about this I'm so sorry #it's also kind of a thankless job??? no one notices when you do a good job but everyone gets pissed if you do a bad job #i used to take pics of very nicely packed boxes lmao #anyway if you're a shipper and i get a package you packed and it's nice and neat and well padded and everything #i see you and i love you and i promise i'm appreciating your handiwork

emelie told me i looked amazing (it's true). and when i got to talk to her, i thanked her for being "the only real australian accent on lost. cuz the rest were [grimaces]" and she was nodding emphatically, did a playful eyeroll and said "right? it was just me, i had to be the real australian, for the whole country! on a show that-" and then she scoffed like it actually bothered her and i said "yeah you were on our rep!" and that was cute. i also told her belle is my favourite disney princess (she played belle on once upon a time)

and yeah, she had the exact sweet demeanour you'd expect

#i wanted to be on the right side of her during but she asked ''can you be on this side'' and moved me physically jhfsjhfs #it wasnt a big deal #it was just to make my comm badge more obvious. its in the pic so i don't care #its always surreal to see actors irl #because they're always smaller in real life. and emelie is pretty damn small already #also. i remember looking at her and thinking ''she looks older'' not in a bad way! i just inwardly remarked upon it #it was just claire... but middle aged. rather lovely #and i noticed her wearing several necklaces. one of which is a heart #oh oh and she complimented my name (sapphire). i'm used to it - it happens all the time but its nice to hear #and i have blue hair and am wearing all blue and she waved her hand up and down gesturing to my appearance and said #''and look at you befitting your name!''#not the first time i've done that at a con. hey its just right

going outside when it's 91 degrees out and taking pictures of the dozens of wasps flying around is absolutely one of my favorite activities it is so fun i HIGHLY recommended it

#they were so cute. i have SO many pictures but my camera died so i gotta wait a bit to go through them but i will be sharing bc i got some #really good ones there were a few wasps that sat real nice for me and i also i saw so many other cool bugs it was magnificent again #i HIGHLY recommend going out and taking pictures of bugs u dont even have to do it when the sun is directly above u and it's hot out #u can do it in other temperatures i prommy. Also! i m fairly certain i saw a bee fly and it was so cute!!! i was like!!!!! that looks that #that one pokemon it HAS to be a beefly and i will id it soon when i can access my pics but it was soooo cute <3 #also the wasps are paper wasps not 100% sure which ones off the top of my head but def paper wasps #they were v chill some even came over and landed on my head it was fun #and im not kidding there were SO many like my photos are all of them close up and one at a time but there were never less than #5 right near me like there were so many i had to watch my step bc they were everywhere and i didnt want to hurt them #and they're so cute i got some good pics of them grooming and looking at me w their cute little eyes #also i saw a few jumping spiders (there are A TON around our house) but i did not get many pics bc they like sitting on the fence and #anytime i would come near to take a pic they would scurry around to the other side of the fence posts and stare at my w their big eyes #and run to the other side when i tried to move to get their pic so yeah they were too wary for pics today but that's okay i already #have soooo many pics of them lol
