Does yoongi genuinely not mind having kids? Or is he just being nice

We’ve been asked this a few times before. He genuinely is very indifferent about having children. It’s not something he feels the need to do or has really thought about seriously, beyond supposing vaguely it might happen one day. Both Yoongi and Jeong-sun are very practical and know that staying together, hoping the other might one day change their mind is really not healthy. So he would have told her if he wanted children and she’d have accepted that as a deal breaker, knowing it wouldn’t be fair to stay together on a false promise. It’s also hinted in their pre-breakup fic ‘The Pharmacy’ that even then he knows she doesn’t want children. He jokes about getting a vasectomy, and later in ‘Expecting’ says it again but is actually serious (as in he would get it done if she wanted him to). It’s really not something he’s sad about in any way as neither of them feel that ‘void’ they have to fill. They are genuinely content knowing and hoping they can be together for the rest of their lives, having each other.

because he is such a scardy cat, whenever they are forced to do a haunted house, or just do it for fun, he will purposefully go out of his way to find her because she is scared of nothing. she will happily have him hug her back and hide in her hair out of fear as she confidentially walks around

they will hold hands, talk about each other in award speeches, go to each other's rooms in the a.m. to cuddle, look for each other in crowded areas just to latch onto one another, kiss, etc. there have been more dating rumors between the two of them then another idol will ever get in their entire life

it's not uncommon for kisses! either on cheeks or lips, it doesn't matter. once he kissed her on the cheek on camera, which made him sputter when he realized what he did. she laughed it off, but he's still a little shooken up about it

a very carefree, respected, and open relationship. literally tell each other everything. you tell one of them a secret, the other one will eventually find out.

ever since 2ne1 disbanded, it has been harder to meet each other due to conflicting schedules. so, they face time/call. these could last from 4 minutes to 4 hours.

made for one another. fax. they just walk into each other's houses, without knocking or anything, and chill there like it's their own home. and nobody minds???

an unbreakable bond that will last until the end of time. they have always been there for each other, and will sit down just to talk about how both of their mental and physical health is doing. reassuring and very high on pda and cuddles!!

even after all this time, it's still a funny inside joke between the kpop fandom to pair them up. they don't mind at all, and together, they work really well and hard

get each other very well. can finish each other's sentences, or do the exact same action at the same time. v close

both of them never see this relationship going any farther than friendship, so he acts like she's a dude and vice versa.

it was extremely awkward at first, considering they have a major age gap, but after time together, they discovered they had a lot in common!

it is honestly the cutest relationship ever. even though they are the same height with youthful features, you can obviously tell who is older because bea is such a whiny baby around her

We actually have hinted in a few fics that post military Yoongi isn’t as skinny as he was when they met and is a bit more built, solid and ‘there’. We actually like the idea within our universe that while he may have started working out due to boredom after coming out of the military, he’s actually making a more conscious effort to be healthy since getting back with Jeong-sun (ditching caffeine, not smoking, eating healthier etc) just as he is doing in real life at the moment. But it’s more because he subconsciously wants to be better for her and just be around with her longer. I think JS would sort of get that, so she’d not really question it. She loves him for him and I think actually his body is always sexy to her because she’s in love with him.

Hi, yes that’s it exactly. I think it’s frustrating for Yoongi sometimes that she’s so headstrong but also that’s what he loves so much about her and he respects how independent she is and that she knows the value of money.

Why is jeuongsun apartment always broken? 😂 😂I get she's broke but aren't landlords supposed to legally to fix all that? For me I always find it funny how she always has so many issues with her place lol so now that we know they're moving in but are you gonna write any fics about difficulties adjusting to each other? It’s more that her landlord is dodgy and has too many apartments to see to. We think she didn’t really think she would be living there long when she initially signed the contract so didn’t care too much for the small print 😬

There will definitely be things about each other that get on their nerves because that’s life when living together, but as he brought up in the last fic, he can tolerate it 😺 Definitely she’d be annoyed if he left the toilet seat up and he’d be annoyed at her always leaving her used teabags in the mug or the way she seems to leave a trail of laundry behind her whenever she does her washing. But there’d be a lot of little comforting things they’d discover too about each other that maybe they wouldn’t have picked up on before. They’d both always be misplacing their glasses or accidentally sitting on their paperback books they’d left lying on the sofa. They’d both enjoy those morning conversations at the kitchen table over coffee, even if nothing significant is said. They just take so much comfort in each other’s presence and just having the other there. They both also are quite solitary at times and like their own space. They’d be happy spending time in different rooms doing their own thing for a while until they’d naturally always find each other at the end of the day...silently sitting together in front of the tv and just liking that closeness and comfort. They’d always kiss each other goodnight (if they are on the same schedule) which I don’t think they’d always do before. They also would never take the other for granted and without always having to say it, really appreciate every day they have together.

This is a "what if" question. If Jeong-sun was pregnant, Yoongi would still find her attractive or just the same?

We’ve always said we think Yoongi would generally find pregnant women a bit sexy. He loves curves, so fuller hips and boobs would just trigger that inbuilt drive in him. That’s not to say he wants to get Jeong-sun pregnant because he doesn’t. He’d just find her sexy if she was. Not sexier, just sexy in a different way.

I feel like Jin and ms are like that one strong couple you get in a friend group. 🥺In the sence that they complement each other so well. And even when they do fight and have problems it never goes too far. And I really love that about them, 100% my go to couple.

Yes we agree that they’d seem like such a good match which is why all the members would have nothing negative to say about Min-Seo. That’s not to say all the other girls are thought of negatively at all, but I feel the members would have opinions on them while no one really questions why Jin loves or went for Min-Seo, as it just makes complete sense.

Having said that, in an upcoming fic (not necessarily going to be written super soon as the timing needs to be right) I think Yoongi and Jeong-sun really shine as the couple in a group who can remain calm and level headed when sh*t kicks off.

watching the run bts episode today i thought it would be a cute idea to have a story where yg/js decorate their new apartment together since yg is so good at it, and they could assemble furniture or something, i think itd be funny since js would prob mess up and yg would fix what she did lol

We actually have always imagined them doing this! I think it’d be nice once they’ve moved into somewhere they’ve picked together, as it’s a fresh start.

That’s definitely it. We wanted to show it was really not something she just ‘does’ and she’d feel a bit embarrassed about it after (more because that’s what women are conditioned to feel rather than her actually being sorry for it) but she realises it actually felt right and good and Hobi quickly reassured her he feels exactly the same way.

It’s quite interesting that some of the couples/individuals more prone before to have one night stands (Rm x Ji-run, Suga x Jeong-sun, Cassandra) actually waited longer to have sex.

Yeah, I think they lack some of those late night in depth conversations/pillow talk that Yoongi x JS have, but definitely would go again and again when having sex 😅 it’s just so spontaneous. They aren’t key players in the next few fics but we will definitely do more with them soon.

I agree. Cass would be kind of hypnotic but also a bit elusive and always a bit out of reach. I do think women as well as men would obsess over her. Maybe even Ara might have crushed on her a little when she was younger.

I think Jeong-sun would be a lot of fun. Mainly because of her wit/humour. Even though she’s never done it, I feel she’d give quite good oral (to a female) too as she’s good at communication during sex.

what are the bones of contention in each of the relationships? some appear quite flawless, like nana and jhope, while others like rm and jieun or jungkook n youngsoon have difficult stuff in (drinking, cheating)

I don’t think any are flawless and actually we don’t think arguing or disagreements is always a bad thing. J-Hope and Nana ‘bicker’ most of all couples but rarely have serious disagreements, while Suga and Jeong-sun are quite calm most of the time but if they do argue it’s over something that’s really been bothering the other.

RM and Ji-eun have a lot of tension in their relationship due to unresolved personal issues. Namjoon is easily jealous and can be insecure about his career, especially once the members start drifting apart, while Ji-eun wants to accomplish a lot all at once (the perfect job, marriage, home and family) but cannot which causes her a lot of personal anguish which results in her closing off her feelings a lot of the time. The drinking is obviously an increasingly big factor in that tension, but it’s really just a manifestation of her pain and trying to escape that.

Jin and Min-seo struggle with the pressure from both their families to keep a perfect, private home life. Both families are traditional and so they feel a lot of pressure to please everyone which means they sometimes neglect themselves and what they want.

Suga and Jeong-sun both had similar upbringings as in they weren’t from wealthy backgrounds. While they have both worked incredibly hard, only his has really paid off financially. JS isn’t bitter about this at all, but I think he feels guilty sometimes about it and often wants to separate himself from it. She on the other hand, hates accepting help. She prides herself on her independence and would rather suffer and try to do things herself than rely on others, while he is all too willing to give his money to her. They are both quite unsatisfied by their careers in a way. She feels overworked to the point of exhaustion and feels like her education never paid off, while he sometimes resents the fact he’s famous. They disagree about other things of course, but money would always be something they came back to, mainly due to the reasons she spoke about in ‘A Discussion in Bed’ where she reveals how her mother got the family into debt and he also revealed his parents argued a lot about money growing up.

J-Hope and Nana, as mentioned, bicker a lot about small things. He can sometimes say things in an insensitive way or not really think about what he’s saying, while she can be neurotic and hysterical at times. She’s also a bit of a hoarder and refuses to throw things away - everything holds sentimental value to her, which would be endearing at first but ultimately causes the house to be chaotic.

Jimin and Ara have a lot of jealousy between them as they both have had a difficult upbringing with their self-esteem and feeling not good enough. We also feel that Jimin doesn’t always say what he means and shies away from arguments which causes more trouble later down the line. Ara really doesn’t know what she wants for herself in terms of her career and personal life as she’s been thrust into the limelight so quickly and isn’t sure if Jimin really fits in with her plan. At the present in our works, she feels very alone and confused and lacks the ability to really explain this to Jimin without sounding ungrateful for all he’s done for her.

V and Cassandra are both incredibly stubborn and, despite having a lot in common, come from very different backgrounds. While deep down, he’s more traditional, she is very liberal and hates feeling controlled (except in the bedroom). Their relationship, pre-breakup, was also very idealistic, with him not really treating her as a flawed, fully-rounded person but instead as someone who fits perfectly into his idea of love. He saw their relationship as this timeless, ethereal thing rather than something which needs working on through communication, mutual respect and understanding. After she gives birth, he does start to appreciate her more as an actual person and as a mother. He recognises what a good human being she is and wants to protect her at all costs. But they do both still have a lot of disagreements about the best way to raise their child and come to compromises, as they both have very different ideas about what being a parent should involve.

Jungkook and Young-soon don’t have many serious arguments but do have tension between them sometimes as she’s really afraid of being hurt and so takes things really slowly, while he’s more of an idealist and optimist. Of course, he recognises his part in hurting her (the one thing he never ever wanted to do!) and takes responsibility for that, but also he worries that she hasn’t fully forgiven him. As the relationship progresses, she does allow herself to be more vulnerable and open around him but there’s always that tiny part of her that puts on a brave face when she’s hurting sometimes. Their biggest tension is the fact she worries about the long-term and honestly can’t allow herself to picture being with him forever because the thought of getting in so deep only to lose it all is too much. We imagine she pictured herself with her ex forever and then he let her down by breaking up, so she’s always scared it will happen again. Jungkook for his part wants to be protective of her but sometimes feels like he isn’t doing enough.

There’s just something a bit old fashioned about her (though unlike the vintage-goddess Cassandra, it’s not deliberate) whereby she just finds it a hassle to navigate technology sometimes and thinks it’s just simpler to do things manually (she was also reading through the phone book in the phone sex fic which we thought was funny). It’s a quirk that Yoongi would find really endearing even if he doesn’t really pay much attention to it. It’s more at the back of his mind he finds it quite reassuring in a way (they are both 90s kids and there’s a sort of solidarity in having a similar upbringing).

Ps, a bit of a subtle connection - Yoongi found her number by looking through the phone book. (In the fic ‘First Date’ it shows from her perspective and in ‘Yoongi looks up JS in the phone book’ it shows him searching for her).

I think that would be so interesting to read about how jS/YG deal with his depressive or as you say, melancholy state! esp post marriage since it is supposed to be a really happy time. but will this also affect js mood as well, since if i can remember, she starts studying for nursing after they marry? will they ever get to a point where they seriously re-evaulate if they want to be together or it wont reach that level? thank you for answering

I don’t think they’d ever want to divorce. We honestly don’t mind revealing that they’ll only ever marry each other in their case because I think most people sort of know that. But they’d definitely have times where they might need to take some time apart, like in most marriages. While they feel comfortable around each other they are both quite independent people who don’t like living in each other’s pockets. They get a lot of joy out of being together but sometimes need a breather, so I think if they ever had a serious argument of if things were really tense between them, one might leave for a few days until they are in a headspace where they can work things out.
