Perhaps they’d be able to pick up on the unusual amount of hesitation in the usually so silver tongued and confident orator if they did. He hasn’t seized up like this since his lab days before the scientists... what two questions he knew immediately needed asking are unbearably close to heart. And to a stranger-- a child, no less.

But with how the two heads of Erebus were practically clawing at his ribcage... this first one may not be an option on his part.   ❝  ...I thank you. ❞   He solemnly responds. This is the most humble he’s been in years.

His slender hand raises to grip his lower arm. Tightly.    ❝     And I have... one other question. Can she... can Nyx hear... any one person’s prayers? ❞   Without so much as looking back to them he shakes his head and grimaces, quickly adding to that.   ❝ --I don’t ask what she thinks of them, if so, only... if she can hear them. ❞   And what was unsaid was how much he couldn’t stand to know.

“Guess if we’re gonna be on a team together, we should know each other a little. Strengths and weaknesses in combat and all that. So. They call you ‘Leafy’ around here, right, kiddo...?”

Adachi - or Copper, as the nickname he’s given himself here - gives the other an inquisitive look, sharp gray eyes slightly scrutinizing him behind his glasses. ‘Leafy’ sure looks like the Narukami-kun he knew from his timeline, the one he’d taken to checking up on after the arrest of his uncle several months beforehand. The Hierophant can only hope that this kid isn’t going through the same stuff.

“You mind if I ask why they call you that? Is it a timeline difference thing?” While he asks this, he grabs a notepad and pen to take notes with, like he does with his police work. He doesn’t plan on interrogating the kid, of course, but he’s curious, and he wants to note down any kind of strategy he can think of when it comes to battle.

Michael beamed. Ok, they did have a way to heal rage! As Leafy tried to explain, Michael waved a hand. “Nah, ya good there. I get it. Feel free to let me know if there’s anything else ya need someone else to hand out, k?”

Casual yoink! Michael now has a baggie of sedatives!

As the persona user was charmed, Ace lowered his weapon towards the Bow and Arrow shadow, his eyes bright pink and an uncanny smile on his face. Of course, he could never attack someone like this! Such a thing was deplorable! 

But his attention turned to the group of enraged people who were attacking each other... now he could attack them! If anything, his beloved Shadow would be so thankful if he did that! 

He raised his spear again, rushing over to the group as he laughed hysterically, trying to attack them... with little luck.

✞  ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧  IT WAS CLEARLY  rare for the slender and pale man, currently lazily draped in a very loose and white kimono to ward off the sun, to be approached so willingly. Not without reason, he assumed, which was why their encroachment was greeted immediately with a raise of his head from his deep thought and matching eye contact with those gilded yellows. Perhaps that may have startled some, but his expression was far from aggressive, no, he never opened with aggression. Eye contact was merely polite   and it makes people pay attention. A truths he learned as a public speaker.

 “ Oh. They called you... Leaf, was it? ” He can’t quite remember, it was rarely said, they must admit. His pleasant enough tone, albeit forever worn beyond his years, assured he didn’t mean to scare them away so soon.

That was not the kind of reaction she was expecting from either group. Looking at the image she sent to the group it took her a few minutes to realize the problem. They were talking in Darnassian, Caligx was taking notes in Darnassian... a language that no one else knew besides them. Slapping herself in the forehead she relayed their mistake to Caligx, who’s response was coving her face with her hand out of embarrassment.

Maybe more will appear as time comes?  She sent the translated notes to both chats with the Leader Chat being sent first and then the Planner Chat.

[from @summonarcana for the group verse] After a bit of looking, Leafy had eventully located the other, Michael, right outside the battle area. It was a good think he knew... roughly where to look.

"Michael-kun?" The other was... hurt. probably why he'd retreated, if Leafy had to guess. "I'll need the Sedatives back, but you can have these, in the meantime. I think it'll help you?"

What he was referring to, in offering to give the... pig-person... something, was two things of Antibiotic Gel. In this world, they were apparently one of the strongest store-bought single-person healing items.

Time has no meaning and I forgot about this during the fight, whoops. @summonarcana

At being addressed, Michael glanced up from where he sat. ”Oh, hey, Leafy. What’s up?” …Ah, the sedatives? Haha… Honestly, he had hoped to have helped more there than he had, but oh well…

”Sure, just let me…” He ruffled about his inventory, for a moment almost panicking about where they went. Thankfully, he found the baggie easy enough and handed them to his friend. “Haaa… Some help I was, huh?” He’d been so confident about his skills, but to be out just like that? It was…embarrassing, really.

”Oh, thank you!” He grabbed the gels and stuffed them inside, beaming. “Be careful, alright?”
