Abstraction of a Landscape, Sundeep Bhandari

My art is a fascinating journey of expression of thoughts, ideas, memories and illusions. I do oil paintings, mostly abstract landscapes inspired by my travels during a thirty year long career in oil and gas exploration. My paintings reflect the simultaneously vibrant energy and turbulent stillness of remote locations that I have visited that have become everlasting memories in mind. The magical mystery and allure of abstract landscapes have been a source of inspiration for me resulting in artworks that are a reflection of landscapes not in literal likeness, but rather the subjective experience of the forms and effects of nature. The way the paint/colour is applied in several layers to the canvas breaking away from traditional rules of landscape art resulting in mystifying abstracted landscapes.
