so unfortunately DrPepperClan (so named because I was drinking Dr Pepper at the time) was lost during an old update, but i still have screenshots and liveblogs. this was them, when i first started out

as you can probably tell, it was a very Silly clan. first time playing, i just wanted to have fun and figure things out.

Mallowgaze and Weedsmoke were the first couple i ever got together. at the time, i also had same-sex kits on, and they did have multiple!

here's the clan after a little while had passed

Sleetpaw and Hornetpaw were MallowWeed's kits. Peepaw, if i recall correctly, was eventually deputy of DrPepperClan, but I don't think she ever became leader.

also worth mentioning that Sleet and Hornet fucking Despised each other, for some reason.

Grinkletpelt (named by my friend that I was liveblogging to) and Coniferfur were also mates. they had more than one litter, but I only seem to have screenshots of one.

one memorable thing is that the first biome i ever played in was the mountains (much like Fallenclan), but for a specific reason.

yes, Swallowstar lost. all 9 lives in one go. because she got eaten by birds. i got my wish but at what cost.

one of my favorite cats (who came along later) was Riverstep. they joined as a kitten, were born without one of their front legs, and came out as nonbinary when they were an apprentice.

unfortunately . uh

they never returned, but they never died either. i think i made a new clan not long after they were taken.

Wanted to post them together …… more lore below the cut

Sunfrost and her brother crescentfang joined saltclan as kits after their mother died. Towards the end of her apprenticeship Sunfrost started to develop feelings for Ashlight, made stronger by her distaste for Ashlight’s parents, the clan leader Swallowstar and his mate Milkthorn. Swallowstar’s lax and unengaged leadership style often allowed saltclan’s neighbor bayclan to take advantage of them, and Milkthorn was often gruff or even verbally abusive to her daughter. Sunfrost once stood up to the senior warrior after one of these incidents and was punished as a result, which caused Ashlight to develop feelings in return despite her position as a medicine cat.

As a warrior Sunfrost continued to grow angrier with swallowstar’s leadership, and her anger in combination with exposure to Ashlight’s powers eventually led her anger to turn to bloodthirsty ambition. With the help of her first apprentice Palmleap she led the clan deputy Dandeliontuft into a trap and killed her. She concealed this act from Ashlight but once her deputyship was established she began to plot how to kill Swallowstar next.

Leopardtail and Swallowstrike grew up together, and were a formidable force in their prime. Woe was to any rival clan cat who ended up facing them down...

When Swallowstar became leader, he requested Leopardtail become his deputy multiple times, but she always refused citing she had no desire to have that level of responsibility.

my oc collection : alana swallowstar(star wars *movie!canon-verse) : “There’s something peculiar about you, child,” was a common utterance murmured underneath the breaths of people who came into contact with Alana Swallowstar. At only eight years old, she was acutely aware of people’s behaviors and thoughts, managing to predict a person’s actions far before they’d actually perform them and would often be seen muttering incoherent sentences to herself. It unnerved everyone around her, for the words that escaped her lips sounded alarmingly similar to their most guarded of thoughts. 

With age, Alana grew out of this strange behavior...or so she thought. Stationed on the Ring of Kafrene at the age of twenty four, Alana was one of the many who toiled for hours upon hours in the asteroid’s depths as a miner trying to make ends meet for her and her family. Despite the harsh, uncompromising environment Alana was brought up in, she managed to build a relatively peaceful life for herself...until a violent riot broke out among the other miners with her caught right in the middle of the disturbance. In the briefest of moments while trying to defend herself against an angry worker, an indescribable energy burst inside of her body...then with a forceful kick, Alana sent her assailant careening into electrical equipment, creating a fireworks display of sparks.

Clearly shaken from her harrowing experience, Alana made a swift retreat home. However, that night would be the last time she’d ever see her family again.

In mere hours, Alana found herself being stalked by a lone figure in black, eventually getting cornered on the tram system linking one segment of the asteroid to the next. Losing patience with being hunted, Alana courageously attempted to fight back, and in the ensuing fight, she managed to peer into her opponent’s mind with one word standing out louder than all the rest...

Pinestar is there, he was sitting on a few rocks all awkwardly. So, gathering, gotta introduce him and his clan. He must do a good first impression for the other leaders!

Melodybranch gave a wave at Pinestar, signalling him for good luck!

Pinestar felt pretty confident in himself right now.

Pinestar soon froze when he saw.. such a large amount of cats. He felt overwhelmed.

And this was only the first of the three clans.

A elderly pale red tabby molly climbed onto the rocks. She gave a confused glare at Pinestar.

"Uh.. who are you.. youngling..?"

"Ah- Uh- I go by Pinestar-?"

"Ah, a leader? I didn't think PeakClan would elect a leader this young!"

"I'm not in PeakClan! PineClan, I'm the leader of PineClan!" Pinestar corrected.

".. Oh! A founder of a new clan! Hopefully you're better than Creekeye ever was!" Swallowstar teased.

".. Who-"

"Oh I feel rude, I go by Swallowstar dearie. It's such a honor being the first to meet a founder!" She shook Pinestar's paw aggressively.

Pinestar felt so awkward right now.

"I rule CavernClan. I'm.. trying to fix some mistakes I've done."

"Ah, I see." Pinestar didn't know what she did.

"Oh! There's PeakClan!" Swallowstar chirped.

A scrawny dark gray lynx point tom climbed onto the rocks. He stared at Pinestar with cold blue eyes. Pinestar was intimidated by all the scars the tom had. What happened to him?

"Ah, Ravencall, greetings!" Swallowstar cheered.

"Ravenstar now.." Ravenstar looked down.

"This dearie right here is Pinestar of PineClan!"

Ravenstar stayed silent.

".. May those forsaken stars wish you luck.." Ravenstar mumbled, he stared down at his paws.

The stars? What does he mean by those?

Finally, a calico molly appeared.

"Ah, Firestar is here!"

"it's Flamestar, Swallowstar. Why does everyone always refer to me as Firestar?"

Flamestar noticed Pinestar and had a confused look on her face.

"Whose this?"

"I'm Pinestar of PineClan, nice to meet you Ms Flamestar."

Flamestar whispered to Ravenstar about something. Pinestar couldn't hear.

Pinestar felt so intimidated by all three of them.

Orchardclan’s main heads!

Pikestar is the leader of Orchardclan - hard-headed and intense, she’s usually the main aggregator at gatherings. She’s pretty loud and out there, and has her fair share of scars from scuffles during her warrior days. Fernpatch is her deputy(and one of the two -patch deputies lol) He’s much more level-headed than she is, and more often than not, is the only one between her and a potential war, really. He’s pretty laid back, but is fiercely loyal to his clanmates, and leader, and won’t hesitate to use his claws if someone insinuates she’s a poor leader. Orchardclan hasn’t been stronger than her leadership, in his opinion.

And Duskflower! The herbalist of the clan, she’s one of the taller cats in Orchardclan and... Often times scares her clanmates. She has a bad habit of lurking in the shadows and scaring them when she moves. She’s quiet, if only because she spends much of her days restocking her supplies, Fernpatch is a close friend to her though! It's tradition in all clans for herbalists to be close with their leaders and deputies, in a close bond of three friends(a few stories say more, but no one can agree whether it's ethical to force three cats to be in a relationship. Most cats say it’s not ethical.) to ensure that the clans are portrayed by a united front! As a result, the herbalists aren’t separate from their leaders and deputies during gatherings. While deputies must stay at the base of the stump, herbalists stay on the ground near them, most herbalists only stay when the clans are called for the reporting, and wander off during the actual speaking.

There are some older elders that get affronted when the clan heads aren’t mates, and their kits and grandkits tend to try to talk to them about it and insist that its REALLY not ethical.

Gatherings function differently, too. The leaders, deputies and herbalists all sit in different positions along the tree stump, with leaders traditionally being on top, where it was felled, deputies taking the assigned root gnarls below them, and herbalists on the ground in front of the tree. The gathering is in three sections - the initial meeting, when the clans first enter the gathering place and mingle until the final clan joins. After that, the heads of the clans go to their assigned spots, and the second portion begins, the reporting portion. This time is for full attention for warriors, older apprentices and any elders that attend, and is where the leaders will announce births, deaths, new apprentices, warriors, deputies, and assignment changes within their clans, as well as news of hunting, and predators sighted or scented. The final half is generally the longest portion of the gathering and when all the clans mingle, friends share personal news, apprentices meet others from different clans, and most of it is shared while grooming.

While the clans aren’t buddy-buddy, the modern clans try and avoid conflict reasonably. After Froststar and Swallowstar died, the gatherings were held in stoic silence, and it wasn’t until Rainstar passed away, that Pikestar got fed up and demanded things go back to normal. For moons after Froststar and Swallowstar died, the clans were walking on eggshells around one another - particularly Thicketclan and Creviceclan. Even now, its very rare to see any Thicketclan cat with a Creviceclan cat.
