Summary:  When he woke up, his first thought was that he was being crushed by something, something moving on his lap. His whole body ached. He reached out to push the thing off him and opened his eyes. There was hair, brown hair in front of him. Around it, a cockpit. He was in an X-Wing. In an X-wing with someone else.

His eyes widened. "No, no, no, no, no..."

"I'm sorry, it was the only way! Hold on!"

Rey.

He was shoved hard to the right, then to the left, a bright flare flying past them. She was dodging fire. Dodging fire, her face almost flat on the windshield! There was no way she had easy access to all the commands!

"No, no, no, no…"

Comments:  Damerey. My absolute favorite fic! My favorite part is the world-building that goes on in this fic and also how gritty and raw the happenings are. Every chapter of this masterpiece hits you right in the gut. The writing in this story is very well done and the dialogue is realistic and reads like a real-life conversation. I got sucked into shipping Poe/Rey because of this fic and I am so glad I have seen the light and am in the process of making up all the time I lost not reading fics of this pairing. Go read this please. And be a good person and don’t forget to leave comments!

Summary:  Poe wakes up in the Millennium Falcon's forward cargo hold with no memory of how he ended up there, wrapped around Finn. Poe knows that he's going to have to deal with all of this sooner or later and that he's not quite ready yet, Finn knows that he needs to figure out the rules of social interaction outside of the First Order, and there are porgs in the sublight engines.

Comments:  This is a FinnPoe and it is Part 1 of the Flammable Materials series. As the tags state, Poe Dameron does indeed Need A Hug. Preferably from Finn.

It's less lighthearted than it sounds.

Comments:  This is Part 3 of the Flammable Materials, the first part of which I just recced above. My poor son Poe just needs a break, and he gets one, finally.

Poe Dameron, Snap Wexley, and Jess Pava find themselves on what amounts to a salvage mission. It's just that this time the wreckage they're digging through happens to be the shards of the New Republic.

Comments:  Angsty FinnPoe aboard the Falcon, post-TLJ. Poe has a lot of guilt and this leads to feelings of low self-worth. Poe is hurting so much and pushes everyone else away.

Summary:  Poe dreams about a tree with golden-green leaves stretching far and high over his parents’ land. He learned to climb before he learned to fly, and would spend hours nestled in the top branches, gazing at the sky. He never fell, not once, and he grew up thinking he was protected.

He wakes up in pain.

Comments:  Missing-scene fic, set after Poe’s escape from Jakku.

It makes use of my favorite trope which is a force-sensitive Poe, and it works so well. We also get a lot of background character scenes which is awesome. And force ghosts! @southwallfire - At 1230pm a Box alarm was transmitted in District 3 (South Wall) for a possible structure fire. A Box alarm is a shared service agreement between Wall Fire District 1, 2 and 3 for any ysmoke or fire in a structure. Members arrived and found smoke and fire showing from the rear of the 2-story residence. Crew from Engine 379 quickly and aggressively stretched a line, found heavy fire on the first floor and extinguished the fire. A search of the residence was negative, as the homeowner were not home at the time of the fire. Crews from District 1 and 2 assisted with overhaul and checked for extension through out the house. There are two types of people in the galaxy - those who hear yes and want to buy him a drink, and those who hear yes and want to kill him. He doesn’t feel like finding out which type this guy is, but then again does he really have a choice?

Comments:  Part 1 of the Poe Organa-Solo series. Poe is adopted by Han and Leia and its super great. This one and its just so full of familial love and bonding balanced out by some wrenching angst. One of my favorite fanfics and, honestly, it needs more love.
