You have been warned!!

I have some headcanons for Quincy’s mom, Krakenbane and the rest of the leeway family:

1. Krakenbane’s potential real name is Karen Leeway.

2. After Krakenbane discover a voice recording of Barbra Streisand cover on “Not while I’m around” from the Sweeney Todd musical, she used it as a lullaby for Quincy for when he was just a baby steambot.

3. After I saw her said “This sea is cursed, it’s take everything from me.” Also the fact that I haven’t seen or heard about Mr. Leeway. It has come to me about the possibility that when the kraken attack for the first time, Mr leeway lost his life to the kraken.

4. After the attack, Karen became Krakenbane, a revenge seeking version of Marlin from Pixar’s Finding Nemo. A wife after facing tragedy, determined to seek revenge for her husband

5. After Krakenbane defeated and trapped the kraken the first time. She used the remaining salvage parts from her deceased husband and some bits of her parts to made little Quincy. (I read on how steambots are born on the steambot fanon wiki)

6. The true reason why she wanted Quincy to leave the sea shard with her because she feels afraid and nervous inside about not being there to protect him and worried that Quincy will not make it on his own with his disability, just like marlin was at the beginning of finding nemo.

7. After the end of the game’s story, she would secretly send Quincy some inspirational letters to him, saying that she proud of him for all the friends he made and the good deeds he accomplished. 😢😭

8. After piper and fen join her on her adventures throughout space, she secretly considered them a part of her family along with Quincy and his friends.☺️😊

WAGHHHHH THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY.. I dont post about it much but i LOOOVE the steamworld series and im so glad u decided to check it out... My fave band did the music you hear in swh 1 and 2 (swh 1 is also REALLY good if u get the chance you should try it out also) which makes it even better.. anon if youre out there tell me your save characters and maybe even songs... Swh2 has such a lovely art style i couls gush forever but i WONT but just know im SO HAPPY

Hello Steamworld Heist II community

Reading SWHS (love your writing!) but I'm wondering how you ended up shipping THK and Radi in the first place? I'm Interested to see how it's gonna play out. Or in the case of worldsense how it already has played out? Especially with Hollow being so unwaveringly loyal to the king and the kingdom

Interestingly enough it used to be a ship that made me scrunch my face up in displeasure. Like "that seems in poor taste," pointedly ignored.

There's this tip about writing that I thiiiink is from Niel Gaiman...? Don't quote me on that I'm recovering from a cold and like 12 hours of fever dream sleep. But it's something along the lines of, "read everything. read things that you like. read things that you don't like. it will help you understand what you want to write."

So one very bored night I opened up an anonymously written Radiance/THK fic, which I would link if it weren't explicit. And oh my god, I have never before wished so, so hard that someone wasn't anonymous.

The ratio for explicitness in it was actually like, 80% tame, really. It was a very short story. But it was the first fic I read where two qualities were different than every single longfic I'd read thus far;

1. The Radiance was a person who wanted to be let out, but would talk about it instead of defaulting to torture.

2. The Hollow Knight had personal agency and was not afraid to mock her for wanting this. They were sad, but they also understood their fate and were mad, too.

I was ENLIGHTENED. Everything about it was incredibly written. The characters had an extra depth to them that I immediately wanted more of.

So, without any spoilers, I give to you a summary of the Sunspot dynamic - also known as The™ when I'm in a silly mood;

The Radiance is a manipulative little shit who tends to get what she wants by making deals in dreams that she cannot uphold in the real world. See also, Soul Tyrant dreamnail dialogue.

The Hollow Knight's only job is to not wish nor want for anything. No deal will be good enough.

After a little time of comprehending their situation, they come to the conclusion that they want whatever the King wants, and the King wants them to sit here with the Radiance forever.

She doesn't like that deal very much.

The two are imprisoned for roughly three hundred years before she breaks them, and that is a LOT of time to be alone with anyone. Think of it like a timeloop situation - both of them have the other memorized.

What does that entail in full? You have to wait for me to write more to find out.
