ocs?? oh boi can u talk about their mentors and such :0 you said yellow had problems with hers can you elaborate??

yup!!

yellow's mentor is her aunt, lowclaw, who's the master ranger of their guild. simply put, she's important and does important work, and she kinda thinks being told to train yellow is a jab at her or something. she views it as almost being demoted, since yellow is so "cowardly," so she's impatient and stern and yellow can't stand up for herself. her littermates do it for her... which lowclaw more or less takes out verbally on yellow later. all around just a bad time for yellow, so she doesn't like lowclaw

everyone else's mentors are super nice!!!

spottedpath's mentor is bumbleswoop, who's a really good hunter and a not-so-good teacher. he tries, but words have never been his strong suit, so he will often explain things with vague motions and hummed tones. still, spottedpath is eager to learn and they've figured out how to communicate efficiently. outside of training, he's funny and sweet and loves to dote on his mate and kits!

ashflower's mentor is mosspath, a gentle giant type. she's patient and quiet and cares deeply for her apprentice and her guildmates. she was the one to figure out ashflower's own method of organizing since he kept losing entire stocks of herbs. she sometimes admits she doesn't feel ready to be the master cleric of their guild, but everyone else thinks she's doing great; she's easy to talk to and happy to help!

rustmask's mentor is goldmouse, who is the stark opposite of rustmask. she's kind and helpful and patient, and she's more or less a mother figure for rust since his mother died during kitting and she was in the nursery with her kit fishleap at about the same time. she's one of the few cats he'll actually listen to, so they get along just fine. she's close with her littermates, swiftflash brambleeye and springpatch, so it's not uncommon for them to be seen working together on things!
