Loved sleeping with the enemy!
What if Rafe visit her at her dorm room and he is on her bed in just his pants or boxers and Max knocks on her door because he wants to talk to her or take her to a party or something. She opens her door and he can clearly se Rafe on the bed. There is silence and then Rafe goes "Sup Hammond"
THANK YOU BABE 🥰 omg i am OBSESSED with this. ain’t no way rafe doesn’t love fucking with him about it. she’s also satisfied with how much it pisses her ex off 🤭
based on this fic
she and rafe def become friends with benefits after they hook up 👀 the sex is too good not to. at games, he’s completely shameless and goes to talk to her whenever he can between quarters, fully aware of how shocked some people are that he’s being civil at all, especially with a girl who cheers for his rivals.
max grovels and tries to get back together with her for quite a while but she laughs in his face every time he tries (and it reminds him of how rafe does that during games and it makes him even madder lmao) (she kind of picks up some of rafe’s asshole tendencies but max deserves it)
one day, max comes to her dorm unexpected, still so desperate to get back together and when she opens the door, she purposely swings it wide enough so he can see rafe stretched out on her bed in boxers.
“what is it this time?” she sighs, crossing her arms. max can only glare at the man in her bed. silence settles between them and she looks back to see rafe with a cocky grin.
“you good, hammond?” rafe says with a laugh. “still not used to losing?”
“rafe,” she says, not putting in the effort to even pretend like she’s actually scolding him.
“i wanted to…” max begins, but he shakes his head.
“go home?” rafe says. “we’re about to go for round two so if you don’t mind-”
“oh, my god,” she laughs.
“i’ll call you,” max says, his lips twisted in anger. she tells him not to bother before shutting the door.

What if sleeping with the enemy rafe accidentally calls reader his gf but neither of them seem to mind 🤭
OBSESSED WITH THIS 🤭
based on this fic
rafe has had too much to drink. tonight’s game secured his team a position in the championship finals. they had to celebrate. one shot became two became however many it takes to make the room start spinning.
he’s sprawled out on the couch at a party at one of the student houses on campus. everyone’s loud and rowdy and excitable. he’s exhausted and sore after the game, but he’s just as wired.
at this point, he texts her anytime there’s a party because he likes her being around. she’s on the other side of the room with a couple of the friends she brought, laughing at how shit-faced rafe is.
“should you be here?” one of his teammates slurs with a drunk smile, approaching her and her friends.
“no,” she replies light-heartedly. they shouldn’t be at a party celebrating another team’s win, especially theirs, but she stopped caring about the rivalry a long time ago. “you’re the bad guys.”
“you’re the bad guys,” he responds, pointing at her, but he loses his balance and nearly stumbles on top of her.
rafe’s seeing stars but he’s conscious enough to realize his teammate almost just knocked her over. he stands and crosses the room, putting a heavy arm around her, shielding her from his friend.
“you tryin’ to tackle my girlfriend? the fuck’s wrong with you?” rafe drawls. his mind catches up with what he just said. he looks down at her. “i mean, uh… my…”
“you’re hammered,” she laughs. she doesn’t mind the slip-up. she knows they’re friends. but her mind has drifted to the possibility of being more a few times.
rafe falls into a fit of laughter, raking a hand through his hair.
“i’m hammered,” he echoes. “you see all those three-pointers i got tonight?”
“you’ve only mentioned it like a hundred times,” she says. really, she’s thrilled to see him so happy. he’s been working hard this season. he deserved the win. “let’s get you some water. follow me.”
when they reach the quiet kitchen tucked at the back of the house, rafe slouches over the counter as she fills a glass with water.
she watches him drink it, surprised at how far he’s come since they started hooking up. he was never the type to let people tell him what to do, but she just ordered him to follow her and he listened. she’s pretty sure that at this point, she’d tell him to jump and he’d ask how high.
at a party last weekend, he mentioned that she’s his best friend. she told him that he’s hers. but the term girlfriend sounded so good coming out of his mouth.
he drains the glass and then she turns to fill it again.
“i don’t need that much,” he complains.
“you need a lot to hydrate so you don’t feel like shit tomorrow,” she says. “you’re like ten feet tall.”
he laughs again.
“i don’t get hungover,” rafe says.
“that’s a lie,” she chuckles. she offers him the full glass, deciding to tease him. “you shouldn’t lie to your girlfriend.”
rafe rolls his eyes and swallows down the water, but her words sober him up a little bit. he lowers the glass, his lips gleaming with moisture. she stands in front of him, tempted to kiss him.
he stares down at her, gazing into her eyes, and the thought of her wanting some sort of commitment to him is oddly thrilling.
“you’re going to be so embarrassed that you said that,” she laughs.
“no, i’m not,” he says quickly. he may be drunk but that, he knows for sure.
tension sits between them. the reason their whole deal works is because they’re direct with each other. honest. it’s a knee-jerk reaction of his to tell her exactly what he’s thinking. but what he’s thinking right now could shift things. maybe even break them.
she’s frozen. they say drunk words are sober thoughts, so maybe rafe really does see her as his girlfriend. they definitely act like a couple at this point.
“what kind of boyfriend would you even be?” she eventually says. instead of laughing off the prospect of being in a relationship with anyone like he always does, he answers after he takes another sip of water.
“a good one,” he says. “i’m good at everything.“
“your humility is so inspiring,” she replies sarcastically.
their words sound like jokes, but the looks they’re sharing are utterly serious. it’s unusual not to be laughing together, chiding like friends. the air is heavy. awkward.
but it’s also incredibly natural.
“you sleeping over tonight?” rafe asks, eyes traveling over her face.
she’s only slept over a handful of times, when the sex was so tiring she couldn’t imagine making her way home. sleeping over feels coupley. but here he is, asking her to.
and she could make a joke about him just wanting a private nurse for his inevitable hangover in the morning. but it feels cruel to tease him when he’s being so vulnerable, looking at her like she might actually have the power to hurt him. to hurt someone so strong and loud and unpenetrable.
“yeah,” she replies simply.
rafe nods, unable to tear his eyes off of her.
“finish that,” she says, looking down at the half-full glass.
“i don’t have to listen to you,” rafe tells her. but he brings the glass back up to his lips, mirroring her smile.
he definitely doesn’t have to let her boss him around. but he’s going to, whether he wants to or not, because that’s the effect she has on him.
(the next morning)

what would be the first time that rafe calls reader baby? (sleeping w the enemy )
oooo it slips out in a moment of comfort 🤭 also this got so long omg but i love hurt/comfort too much!!
based on this fic, combined with this ask
a couple of months after she starts messing around with rafe, she meets a guy at the library. they double-booked the same study room and they start talking and eventually exchange numbers. she quickly develops a crush on him.
at first, she told rafe she’s giving up on relationships, ranting about how she’ll always just get her heart broken, but this guy is so sweet and sincere and interested, so she says yes when he asks her on a date, figuring she shouldn’t always expect the worst from men.
the night after the date, she and rafe are hanging out in her dorm and she tells him about how good of a time she had, that maybe this guy is relationship material.
rafe is a total dick about it. she didn’t expect him to be thrilled, but at the bare minimum, he could pretend to be happy for her.
“so, what?” he snips coldly after she tells him about how much fun it was. “you got a boyfriend now?”
“what’s your problem?” she asks, upset at his sudden bitterness.
they’re sitting on her bed. he thought she invited him over to hook up. but this feels like a break-up in a weird way.
“you said you weren’t looking for that,” he states.
he’s right. she was adamant about how much she didn’t want a relationship.
“i’m allowed to change my mind,” she replies. “i was just saying. it was one date. i don’t know where it’s going to go. why are you so mad?”
rafe doesn’t even really know himself. but the anger running through him is white hot. like always, he tells her what he’s really thinking, sparing no feelings.
“because we can’t do this anymore,” he admits. “not if you’re going to be someone’s girl.”
honestly, he would keep hooking up with her even if she was in a relationship. but he knows she would never cheat.
she’s quiet for a moment, looking down at her lap.
“we can still be friends,” she finally says, embarrassed when her voice starts to tremble. “unless you only hang out with me for…?”
rafe knows what she means. unless he only hangs out with her for sex.
his jaw tightens. he can feel it bubbling in him, his impulse to hurt, to be spiteful. it’s the only way he knows how to deal when someone makes him feel like this.
“you’re an idiot if you think we’ll stay friends,” he says. he watches the light leave her eyes. she’s not angry anymore. she’s just sad.
“wow,” she scoffs. “fuck you.”
“no, i mean,” he begins, “he’s not gonna want you hanging around with a guy you were hooking up with.”
“as if you give a shit what he wants,” she mutters. “you’re back-tracking because you know that was an asshole thing to say.”
it’s his turn to go quiet. finally, she sighs and stands and crosses the room to open the door.
“just go,” she says. tears prick her eyes and for once, she hides her feelings from him, looking away. “if you really think i’m only worth keeping around if i’m putting out, you can leave.”
she half-hopes he’ll fight her on it. but he doesn’t. he leaves.
when he gets home, rafe realizes he wasn’t actually honest with her. but that’s because he wasn’t even honest with himself. he’s jealous.
he thought they were on the same page about not wanting anything serious. but he can’t ignore the gnawing sense of inadequacy. she changed her mind. she’d be willing to be a girlfriend. but for someone else. this other guy is worth the reconsideration. and rafe isn’t.
he hates that he cares; he doesn’t even want a relationship. and he hates that she was right. it was an asshole thing to say.
a couple of weeks later, the guy she was seeing ghosts her. and she and rafe haven’t spoken. the only contact they’ve had is a few tense glances at the basketball court when he comes to play against her college. and he views all her snap stories. she doesn’t get why he even cares to check.
the rejection stings. she knows she shouldn’t look for validation in guys, and she tries her hardest not to, but why don’t relationships ever work out? is there something wrong with her?
rafe is still pissed. mainly because he misses her. they were messing around, but she really was his friend, too. there’s a hole in his life where she used to be.
when he sees her courtside one night, cheering for his opponents, he lets his eyes linger on her longer than he usually allows himself to since their falling out. he keeps waiting for the moment he won’t care about her anymore. but it’s not coming.
the whistle signals the end of the third quarter and finally, rafe pushes past his pride to go talk to her.
she notices her friends on the squad looking surprised at something over her shoulder. and then she turns to see rafe approaching her, his skin flushed from how much he’s been running across the court.
“you guys ever get any new songs?” he mutters, hoping she’ll ease into teasing each other like they always used to do.
“you mean cheers?” she says coldly. “sometimes.”
she averts her gaze, uninterested and bitter.
“how’ve you been?” he asks quietly.
“oh, great,” she answers. “busy being an idiot.”
rafe mumbles her name in irritation.
“i was right, though, wasn’t i?” he says. her face twists in disbelief. “not about that. about how he doesn’t want us hanging out.”
“i wouldn’t let a guy dictate who i can be friends with,” she replies. “but it doesn’t even matter. it didn’t work out.”
rafe searches her face.
“you didn’t tell me.”
“please,” she scoffs. “why would i? you only want me to call you to hook up. that’s all i’m good for, right?”
he huffs an annoyed sigh. but he doesn’t deny it.
“shouldn’t you be giving a pep talk to your team?” she says. she turns around, clearly done with the conversation.
his game ends in a loss. and honestly, rafe blames her. she got in his head. he was distracted.
he sees on her story later that night that she’s out at a restaurant. he feels like such a wuss for hoping she’s there with her girlfriends and not some guy. he can’t tell by the photo.
an hour later, he texts her: you still out? can i come over?
she doesn’t reply. maybe it was a date. maybe the guy’s over at her place. after ten minutes, he texts to clarify: just to talk.
she gives in and replies: fine. i’m home.
when rafe knocks on her door, he’s weirdly nervous. she answers it with a scowl, still clearly upset.
“just to talk, huh?” she says.
rafe rolls his eyes and steps into her dorm. he can smell her perfume. her room. it’s so fucking corny but the way she smells makes him feel so damn comfortable. he didn’t know he could miss a smell.
“yeah,” he says gruffly. he settles on the edge of her bed. it makes his chest ache when she sits at her desk instead of next to him.
“then talk.”
“my bad, alright?” he says tensely. “i’m sorry. you’re not an idiot. i shouldn’t have said that. i was just…”
rafe can’t say the word jealous out loud. it’s so heavy.
“you were what?” she says.
“pissed that this was ending,” he finally mutters. “i don’t… like not having you around.”
she runs her fingers over the back of her chair, unsure of what kind of territory this conversation is falling into.
“well, this didn’t have to end. we could’ve at least stayed friends,” she says.
the sound of the word could’ve is so final. rafe hates it. it feels like she’s committed to cutting him out of her life. and it’s agonizing, the thought of permanently losing someone who he can joke around with, who always gives it to him straight, who he has so much fun with that time stops.
“we could’ve?” he mutters. it’s humiliating how quiet his voice has gotten.
“yeah,” she says, not sensing how harsh her words were. “and i already told you. it didn’t even work out with him, so we fought for nothing.”
she looks down, her features falling with sadness. rafe studies her. his sense of protectiveness sparks like a fire.
“what’d he do?” he mutters.
“he just stopped talking to me,” she says with a defeated laugh. “i thought things were going well. i don’t…”
“what?” he asks.
“i don’t know what’s wrong with me,” she admits, her glossy eyes landing on his.
rafe is shit at emotions. he doesn’t know what to do when he cries, let alone when someone cries around him. he sticks to what he knows with her. straight-up honesty.
“nothing’s wrong with you,” he tells her.
“yeah, it is,” she says. “guys never want to stick around. and i don’t mean you. i mean guys i’m dating. at some point, i have to look at the common denominator. i must be boring.”
“no, baby, you’re not boring,” rafe says. then he looks away and breathes in slowly. what an embarrassing slip-up.
“you’re not boring,” he repeats. “you’re…” every word that comes to mind to describe her, amazing, beautiful, special, it’s all feels so weird for him to say out loud. especially after he just called her baby.
“you’re the best.” it’s corny, but he’ll be corny if it’ll make her feel better. “i wasn’t keeping you around only for… that. we can just be friends.”
her lips quirk up in a small smile. the best. he’s never given her a compliment like that.
“can an idiot be the best?” she mumbles.
“i didn’t mean that. i’m sorry.” he purses his lips. “and you’ve called me worse.”
“as a joke,” she counters. “you know that.”
“yeah,” rafe relents. “i do.”
“never called you baby, though,” she teases, the ice between them finally melting.
“listen…” rafe sighs, scratching the back of his neck. he needs to change the subject. he doesn’t know why he said that. “i’m just saying it’s not on you that so many guys are losers. he’ll regret messing things up with you.”
she takes a moment to let his words sink in. she knows he really, truly believes that.
“thanks,” she says. “maybe you are a good friend.”
“you thought i wasn’t?” he asks. he loves that she’s smiling again. that they’re joking around again.
“let’s see… a good friend would take me out and buy me a sweet treat right now,” she says with a shrug.
rafe stuffs his hand in his pocket to fish his car keys out.
“where are we going?” he sighs, pretending to be annoyed. in reality, he’s so damn happy to be good with her again. even without the prospect of sex.
“i’ll decide in the car,” she says, standing up. “and i’m still mad at you, just so you know.”
“you’ll get over it.”
“maybe i won’t,” she says. he follows her out the door, pacing down the long corridor with her. “what then, baby?”
“shut up,” he laughs, embarrassed, nudging her shoulder.
“never,” she replies. and he’s glad, because he doesn’t want her to shut up. honestly, he doesn’t want her to ever stop talking to him.
he’s never going to let that much time pass again after a fight. because fights are inevitable. they’re too similar not to butt heads. but he’s not putting himself through the torture of allowing her to step back from his life. he kind of needs her at this point.
as a friend, he tells himself. that’s all. but maybe he’s doing it again - lying to himself.

please can we have sleeping with the enemy reader taking care of rafe with his hangover (from your last blurb) 😚😚
aaaa yes omg the fluff! (and the everyone but them can see it trope!) (and the overdue confession!) 🙂‍↕️
based on this fic, continutation of this blurb
rafe can’t even open his eyes yet. he feels like he’s an inch away from death.
about a month ago, he moved out of his dorm and into a house with a group of his teammates. it was a nightmare securing a lease on a house because of the reputation athletes have left on the landlords off campus.
but because rafe was the one who worked so hard on getting the house, and because he’s the team captain, he got the biggest and best room, ensuite attached.
it’s in the top floor. it’s quiet. it gets the best ac. but no amount of ac can make the sickening heat of the hangover he has this morning any better.
he finally opens his eyes. she’s not beside him. if he remembers correctly, he asked her to sleep over last night. and… goddamn it, he called her his girlfriend.
there’s a good chance he scared her away. they’re best friends who hook up sometimes. that’s it. no matter how much his teammates - at least the ones who have the balls to - fuck with him about it.
a few nights ago, a girl struck up conversation with rafe at a party and one of his buddies told her not to bother because ‘he’s basically married’ and the crazy thing is, he let her believe it. he hasn’t hooked up with another girl in ages. he hasn’t wanted to.
it got to him. maybe that’s why he slipped up last night, calling her his girlfriend. if he remembers right, it’s like they agreed to being something more in a roundabout, drunken way. or maybe she was just humoring him and is planning to let him down easy when they’re both sober.
she’s in the kitchen, wearing one of rafe’s shirts, cutting up what little fruit the guys have lying around. the blender was a bitch to clean, tacked with residual protein powder.
she’s awake before everyone, making rafe a smoothie to help cure his hangover. this is 100% girlfriend behavior. she’s doing the absolute most. she knows that.
she tells herself it’s because they’re best friends. she’d do the same for any other friend. but doing it for rafe feels so much more gratifying than if she did it for anyone else.
as she drops banana slices into the blender, she thinks about the regret that washed over rafe’s face last night.
she wonders why he so obviously wished he hadn’t called her his girlfriend. was it because he accidentally exposed what he really thinks of her? or because he didn’t want her to get the wrong idea?
she blends the smoothie, cleans up and pads upstairs to rafe’s bedroom. when she opens the door, he’s sprawled out on his bed, down to his boxers, the duvet half-covering his body.
she’s seen him naked so many times before. but this weirdly feels like it’s the most intimate they’ve ever been.
“did you take my clothes off last night?” rafe grumbles, staring up at the ceiling.
“somehow,” she answers. “i fell on my ass trying to pull your jeans off.”
“oh, yeah,” he laughs. he heard her fall to the floor in the dark. it was hilarious. but then he clutches his head. even laughing hurts. “fuck.”
“imagine how bad you’d feel if i didn’t force water on you last night. you’re welcome, by the way,” she says.
she places the glass on the nightstand and sits on the edge of the bed, glad she only had a couple of drinks last night.
“i made you a smoothie. you need to replenish.”
his tired blue eyes finally land on her. he takes her in, the way her brows are knitted in concern, the way she looks in his shirt.
“and your blender was disgusting,” she adds. “it’s pretty sad that a whole group of grown men don’t know how to properly wash dishes. it took me forever to clean it.”
“you’re talking too much,” he rasps, massaging his temple with his thumb.
normally, she’d tease him back. she knows he’s joking. but the joke doesn’t land. she looks away.
in the sober brightness of the morning, she realizes she feels stupid. they agreed they were just friends, but she’s playing house and acting like a girlfriend to someone who either doesn’t want her like that, or does and won’t admit to it when he’s not drunk.
she doesn’t mind taking care of him. but she’s catching feelings. how can she be friends with someone when every second that passes that they’re not more than that feels like a little dose of rejection?
they’ve always been direct with each other. at some point, that stopped. at least on her side.
“i’m fucking with you,” rafe clarifies. “thank you.”
she scoffs. he hardly ever has manners. she must really look mad.
“sure,” she says. she leans forward, picking up and handing him the smoothie, knowing he’s too tired to get it himself. “do you remember what you said last night?”
rafe’s eyes dart away. he rakes back his tousled hair, sitting up slowly to hold the smoothie. tortuously slow, he takes a sip, making her wait for his answer.
“what’d i say?” he mumbles.
she tilts her head, her lips in a firm line. he said he wouldn’t be embarrassed the next day. he’s acting like he is now, though. or maybe he really doesn’t remember.
she suddenly feels bad for pushing this heavy of a conversation on him when he’s clearly exhausted and feeling so terrible.
“we’ll talk about it later,” she says. it gives rafe a wave of anxiety. maybe she’s planning to let him down gently. to tell him they can’t be more than friends. “hydrate, got it?”
she stands, pulling his shirt off over her head.
“where are you going?” he asks, watching her bend over to pick up last night’s clothes.
“home,” she says. “text me if you wanna hang out later when you feel human again.”
she leaves. he lets her.
he’s in a funk the rest of the morning. he eventually finds the strength to take a shower. he eats his first meal at three p.m.
when he sees the blender on the drying rack in the kitchen, his chest tightens. this isn’t normal. he shouldn’t miss someone he saw just this morning. but he does.
and whatever happened last night is hanging over him. if he knows her, he knows it’s bothering her, too.
he texts her: feeling human again. u busy?
she replies: i’m free and starving.
he smirks at his phone. pick you up in 30
when she sinks into the passenger seat of his suv, she’s uneasy. jittery. as if this is a first date. but when she takes in how tense he looks, she pushes all her feelings away.
“what’s wrong?” she asks. “you good?”
“i’m… this feels weird,” he admits. she stills. so it’s not just her who senses it.
“weird how?”
“what do you wanna eat?” he asks. “where am i going?”
“you’re staying here until you tell me what’s up.”
rafe chews on his lip. he turns his key, shutting the car off, parked in front of her dorm building. he knows there’s no point in arguing with her. she can be stubborn.
“weird how?” she repeats.
“like… i’m nervous or something.”
rafe has known for a while now that he’s someone else around her. or maybe he’s actually himself, and she’s the only person who coaxes it out of him.
“nervous?” she echoes. rafe is only ever nervous before an important game, and even then, he’s more hyped up to win than anything.
he can’t take it anymore. he’d rather rip off the bandaid.
“be straight with me,” he says. “what’d i say that you wanted to talk about?”
she can’t recall the last time she felt so shy around him, if ever.
“do you remember calling me your girlfriend?” she says.
he shuffles in his seat, expelling a heavy breath.
“if i fucked things up, just say it,” he rasps.
“so, you remember?”
“yeah.”
“do you remember how you said you wouldn’t be embarrassed for saying it?”
“yeah,” he mutters sharply. “can you get to the point?”
“can you not be a dick right now?” she says.
he sighs. can’t she tell he’s anxious?
“are you?” she says. “embarrassed, i mean?”
“no,” rafe begins. “i’m annoyed that i said it. it made things awkward.”
“it did,” she agrees.
“okay,” he huffs. “so what now?”
she clasps her hands together in her lap, looking out at the side mirror. she could just say they can forget about it. grab takeout. go back to normal. but going back to normal kind of feels impossible.
“my friends always tell me we act like a couple,” she finally says. “this morning, i was washing your dishes and organizing your fridge and i thought, they’re right. this is the kind of stuff a girl in a relationship does. but then i was like, no it’s not like that. we’re just best friends. but then last night... you said you’d be a good boyfriend.”
“mhm,” he says, bracing for the rejection. the let’s just be friends. or worse, the things are too weird now and we should probably stop hanging out.
she swallows hard.
“i wanted to know if… did something change? were you just drunk or do you actually want to…” she trails off.
for once, it feels odd saying her thoughts out loud to him. because he was always as adamant about not wanting commitment as she was. things have gotten so messy all because he blurted something out last night.
rafe stares at her profile as she looks out the window. she’d fiddling impatiently, like she was the night they first talked at the bar months ago, waiting for someone to take her drink order.
“the guys mess with me about it, too,” he tells her. “they say we act like we’re married or some shit.”
she quirks her eyebrows. they basically do. they see each other almost every day. they bicker. they’re constantly subconsciously touching, whether it’s through joined hands or bumped knees. they have too many inside jokes. they take care of each other. she reminds him of things he can’t afford to forget, like appointments or exams. he makes sure she eats and he pays for everything they do together.
“i don’t look at other girls,” he confesses. “and i know you get hit on when you go out, but it never goes anywhere. i… okay, yeah, fine, something did change at some point. i don’t know when.”
for the first time since she got in the car, she cracks a smile. they’re best friends who are ridiculously attracted to each other and joined at the hip. if that’s not a relationship, what is?
“are we already kind of dating?” she says, finally meeting his eyes.
rafe breathes a chuckle, the heaviness in his chest lifting all at once.
everything was always so easy with her. he assumed it’s because they had no expectations between them. but that wasn’t it. in reality, they had been quietly meeting each other’s expectations without having to try.
“yeah. we are,” he says.
her eyelids flutter as she looks down, gazing at his hand splayed over the dark denim on his thigh. her stomach is numb. her mind is buzzing.
“how’d you get so lucky?” she teases.
rafe doesn’t even have it in him to joke back. he needs to touch her. he leans forward, cradling her jaw, capturing her lips in his.
they’ve kissed a thousand times before. but never like this. this is a kiss that says there’s an understanding that she’s his and he’s hers. and maybe it took them a while to realize that, but now that they’re here, they’re not going back.

omg what if basketball!rafe takes reader out to dinner after a game or something, from sleeping with the enemy’s pleaseee
AHH SO CUTE YES OFC 🙂‍↕️
based on this fic
they keep hooking up after their first night together and rafe is in shock over how good the sex is and how much he enjoys her company. he’s a ‘hit it and quit it’ type of guy but he cannot get enough of her to the point where he can hardly wait for games against her college’s team because it’s a promise that he’ll see her.
one night a few weeks after they start being friends with benefits, his team suffers a loss by a few points against their worst rivals. he’s seething. the result of a game has a crazy effect on him. it always does.
he finds her courtside and while everyone around her is celebrating, she goes still once she notices him approaching her.
“close game,” she says, tilting her head while she looks up at him. at this point, she knows well enough how hard losses hit him.
eyes are on them. she can feel people judging how close she’s gotten to her side of the rivalry’s most hated athlete, but she doesn’t care.
rafe can tell she’s trying to make him feel better. underneath their usual harsh sarcasm and jokey insults, they’re two people who have a friendship built on sincere compatibility.
“your refs should be fired,” he mutters, pissed at how many calls against his opponents were missed. he’s sweaty and breathless from the game, his chest rising and falling at full tilt.
“oh, i’ll personally see to it,” she jokes. he scoffs, hating that he can’t stifle his smile.
“be ready in an hour,” rafe tells her. “i’ll pick you up from your dorm.”
“for what?”
“dinner,” he says assertively.
before he leaves, he pulls her in for a kiss. it’s a bonus that her ex sees. when she told him she wasn’t interested in max anymore, rafe couldn’t believe how relieved he was. he may have lost the game, but he won the girl.
rafe typically lays into his teammates after a bad loss. he’s a harsh captain but the guys respect him for it. but that night, he’s uncharacteristically quiet in the locker room. he’d never admit it to anyone, but knowing he’ll see her after this makes his anger lose its power.
she’s surprised that the restaurant he picked is as elegant as it is. she knows he came from money, but this place is nice. as they settle across from each other in a booth, she’s glad she dressed up.
“i didn’t say this,” she says, looking down at her menu, “but you’re right. the refs missed a lot of travelling on our side.”
“what?” rafe says, amused. “whatever happened to loyalty?”
“i told you i didn’t say anything,” she reiterates.
he taps his knuckles on the tabletop lightly, studying her.
“you don’t have to bullshit me,” he tells her.
“rafe,” she says seriously. “when do we ever bullshit each other?”
he meets her gaze, taking in how pretty she looks tonight. they’re just friends but on the outside, this looks like a date. he doesn’t mind.
“and you need to chill with the pushing,” she tells him. “you almost got fouled out.”
“did i?” he says with a laugh. he knows he did. he finds quite a lot of sick satisfaction in shoving his opponents.
“shut up,” she chuckles. “you won’t be laughing when you get benched.”
“don’t want that,” rafe mumbles. “who will you stare at then?”
“you stare at me,” she replies. “you said it yourself the first night we hooked up.”
“why are you thinking about hooking up right now?” he says, looking around the room. “this is a classy place.”
“you’re annoying as hell,” she laughs. “and for that, i’m ordering the most expensive thing. unless you’re not paying?”
“i’m paying,” he confirms. he doesn’t even want to joke about that. “and i’m coming over after.”
“depends on how this date goes,” she quips, looking back down at the menu.
rafe loves how laidback she is. how she can call it a date, but not expect him to be her boyfriend. it’s so easy with her. no expectations. just fun.
he never felt this good this fast after a loss. he doesn’t ever feel this relaxed with anyone. she may just be his best friend at this point.
she looks up, noticing his eyes on her.
“staring again?” she teases.
just a few seconds ago, she asked when they bullshit each other. they never do. he’d like to stick to that.
“yeah. you look good,” he tells her.
her skin flushes hot. she eyes him, the way the dim lighting washes over the planes of his face, the way he put an effort in tonight, dressing in a button-down instead of the usual t-shirt and sweats he wears whenever they meet for a booty call.
“at the risk of stroking your ego, so do you,” she replies.
“what else d’you wanna stroke?”
“jesus christ,” she laughs, nudging his knee under the table. he smirks.
whatever tense feelings were left over from tonight’s loss are gone now. he’s good. happy, even.

omg i have this idea where its back in the college party days and y/n has had way too much to drink and rafe being the great fwb he is whisk her away back to his dorm but she keeps initiating sex but rafe keeps refusing bc she’s drunk but y/n keeps trying and eventually get off on his lap :3
aaaaaa this is so good 🤭 went with possessive/mean rafe here… it just felt right 👀
based on this fic! 18+!
» au masterlist
rafe is sure she’s had enough to drink when she starts table dancing. the guys in the frat house are cheering her on as she moves to the loud music and as much as rafe enjoys the sight of her dancing, he beckons her off the table.
he knows if she lets her go any longer, people might start recording her, and she’ll be mortified considering enough people on his campus know her as one of the cheerleaders on their rival college’s basketball team. and because he genuinely sees her as a friend now, he wants to spare her the embarrassment.
she’s laughing as they rush out of the house into the warm night, her hand at the crook of rafe’s elbow.
“why are we leaving?” she slurs.
“because you looked like you were about to start stripping,” rafe murmurs.
admittedly, even though they’re just messing around, he doesn’t like the idea of guys looking at her like that. she doesn’t belong to him, but sometimes he likes to think that she does.
“is that so bad?” she says. “could’ve earned some tips.”
“you’re so fucking drunk,” he laughs.
“where are we going?”
“my place.”
“oh,” she says. “what are we gonna do?”
“sleep.”
once they get into rafe’s dorm and she presses him up against the wall to kiss him, she realizes he’s going to keep teasing her when he gives her a chaste kiss on her lips and gently pushes her back at her shoulders.
“i’ll get you a shirt to sleep in,” he tells her.
“wait, you were being serious?” she says. “we’re just here to sleep?”
“yeah. you’re wasted.”
she looks up at him with a confused pout. having her here for himself while she’s so obviously horny is turning him on, but it feels wrong doing anything with her that she might forget.
just a few nights ago, they fell into conversation about flings they regret, and she told him she hates when she can’t remember all the details of a hook-up because she was too drunk.
it’s not like he’s just being a good guy. this isn’t all about nobility. he refuses to be part of anything she’d want to take back because if she regrets tonight, she might never want to hook up with him again.
“i would still want to if i was sober, if that’s what you’re worried about,” she says. “i always want to with you.”
coming from her, the compliment makes rafe’s cheeks go hot.
“still, it’s…” rafe steps away. “i can’t.”
she’s still confused as he keeps his back to her, rifling through his dresser. playing along, she pulls off her top and her jeans and her bra, breathing a sigh of relief once she’s out of her tight clothes.
when he turns around and sees her in just her panties, he stills. the way his eyes travel down her body makes it clear to her that he wants to fuck just as bad as she does.
“here,” he finally says, holding out a shirt for her. she steps closer to him, taking it.
“thanks.” she doesn’t rush to put it on. she’s too dizzy.
rafe clears his throat. at this point, he’s hard enough for her to be able to see it under his jeans.
she settles on his bed, putting on the shirt while he pulls his off. she gapes at his muscular body, crossing her legs just to relieve the ache between her legs.
he turns away as he takes off his jeans, but she already noticed what he’s trying to hide.
“you’re hard,” she says, leaning back.
rafe glances over his shoulder. she’s trying to seduce him. it’s almost working.
“obviously,” he says tensely, seeing her sitting pretty in his bed. “look at you.”
he starts to look for shorts to sleep in. but she reaches out to grab his hand.
“then why don’t we do something about it?”
she pulls him closer. while he could undoubtedly withstand her strength, he chooses not to, sinking next to her on his bed, left in just his boxers.
“do i need to prove to you how bad i want it?” she whispers, sitting up to straddle him.
rafe’s lips twist in frustration. he’s so hard that it hurts at this point. he feels like an idiot to not give her what she obviously wants, to not rip off what little clothes remain between them and fuck her as hard as he can, but it just doesn’t feel right.
“you’re too drunk,” he says, lids low as he tilts his head to meet her stare.
in her haze, she can finally see that he’s not teasing. he’s being serious. she’s disappointed, but flashes a small, understanding smile.
the look on her face makes rafe feel guilty. and he hardly ever feels guilty.
“sorry,” she says. “we’ll go to bed.”
she starts to swing her leg off him, but feels his fingers press into her thigh.
“wait,” he sighs.
he holds her hips tightly, pulling her down to sit on his bare thigh. when he feels how wet she is through her panties, arousal twists tightly in his stomach.
“damn,” he groans. “you really wanna get off that bad, hmm?”
“let’s…” she says breathily. “let’s go to bed. you don’t have to do this-”
“i won’t be doing anything,” he interrupts.
when he pushes his leg up against her, her breath hitches. she follows his lead, putting the slightest amount of pressure on him, slowly rolling her hips forward and finally finding a bit of relief, letting out a happy sigh.
heat pricks every inch of his skin. this is already a nearly impossible test of willpower.
“that feel good?” rafe’s voice is low and rough.
“yeah,” she says. she meets his eyes, her lips slightly parted as she rests her hands on his shoulders.
“what were you doing dancing like that?” his thumbs press harder into her hips, almost like he’s punishing her for getting him so turned on when he can’t do anything about it.
“having fun,” she whines. she grinds against his hard thigh again, the friction making goosebumps bloom on her skin.
rafe’s hand runs up the curve of her hip and dips under the shirt draped over her body, cupping her breast.
“you can’t be doing that anymore, you understand?” he mutters.
“i understand,” she answers breathily. right now, she’ll say anything he wants her to let her keep doing this.
her writhes start to get harder. when he pinches her nipple, she moans and her eyes flutter shut. he stares at her, the way her pretty features fall in pleasure.
he hates the thought of another man seeing her like this. and he hates that he cares. he tells himself it’s the blue balls making him so angry and possessive.
“were you hoping some other guy would take you home?” he says, flexing his thigh. she moans again at the pressure, grinding with fervent hunger.
“no.” she shakes her head. “no.”
her breaths start to get faster as she rides him, body tensing from the pressure, from the way he’s playing with her tits.
“you think another guy would let you use him like this?” he says.
she leans closer, capturing his lips, kissing him out of sheer appreciation. their tongues meet, hot against each other.
“thank you,” she breathes, her forehead pressed against his.
“yeah, you better fucking thank me,” rafe mutters.
her grip on his shoulders tightens as she rolls her hips, thighs aching as the friction on her clit is finally enough to make her body shake in release.
she rides out her orgasm, trembling on top of him, moaning so loud that rafe can’t wait until the next time he can be inside of her, earning those sounds from her in his favorite way.
she stays seated on his lap, panting in his ear. her entire body is tingling in pleasure and exhaustion.
his cock is throbbing with how turned on he is. but he wraps an arm around her waist, guiding her onto his pillow, looking down at her lying in his bed with her chest heaving and her eyes shut.
when she wakes up, her head in splitting pain. she shuffles to feel rafe’s arm draped over her, his chest against her back.
she rubs her eye with her knuckle. the ache of her hangover hits her immediately.
“you want another shot?” rafe grumbles behind her, the smile in his voice apparent.
“ugh,” she says, nauseous at the thought of it. “you’re a dick.”
“what?” he laughs, playing dumb.
she shuts her eyes again. as she stretches out her legs, she feels his erection against her ass. and then she recalls bits and pieces of last night. him refusing to hook up since she was so wasted. getting off on his lap. thanking him. coming so hard that her body went numb.
“did i dance on a table last night?” she murmurs.
“you remember, huh?”
“fuck,” she whispers into his pillow. rafe hopes she doesn’t remember his show of possession last night. she doesn’t seem to.
“you wouldn’t have sex with me,” she recalls.
“no matter how much you begged.”
he expects her to tease him back, but she doesn’t.
“i’m definitely sober now,” she says, pushing up against him. “if you want to.”
she feels him twitch against her. she wants this. and he deserves it.
“i think you do,” she says.
rafe impatiently pulls her panties down. she raises her leg, feeling the head of his cock pressing against her as he guides himself between her legs.
he groans into her hair once he sinks into her, enjoying the familiar feeling of her heat wrapped around him. this is the best way to start his morning, deep inside her.
he doesn’t build up the pace. instead, he starts slamming her from behind at the speed he wants, hand on her hip as he fucks her just how he likes.
unlike every other time they’ve fucked, it doesn’t take long for him to come, his hips striking against her ass in sporadic jerks.
they’re both breathless when he pulls out. eventually, she finally finds the strength to sit up. she looks back at him, offering him a tired smile despite her aching head as she starts to pull off his shirt.
“just give it back later,” rafe says.
he feels off. he knows they’re friends. that this isn’t their last time hooking up. but it’s weirdly comforting for her to hold on to something of his and have a reason to see him again.
she shrugs and keeps his shirt on, finding her pants on the floor. he watches her pull her jeans on, wishing he knew how to shake this feeling she gives him that no other girl ever has.
“thanks. i’ll see you soon,” she says, heading for the door.
rafe finds himself thinking he can’t wait until then.

how dare u just end it there “…they’d be competitive over who can make the other one moan louder 🤭”
pls do a lil blurb🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
they’re definitely the kind of couple who always want to one-up each other 🙂‍↕️
based on this fic! 18+!
» au masterlist
it starts with a text. she’s sitting in a lecture when she gets a message from rafe saying: that was you holding back last night? you were screaming.
they’ve been official for a few weeks now. rafe already thought the sex was incredible, but now that they’re together, paired in something real, it’s unlike anything he’s ever experienced.
they hooked up in her dorm the night before. they were under her sheets, rafe on top, moving with hard, fast thrusts, their moans interlaced in the air. before, as they undressed each other, she said they’d have to hold back because she didn’t want her neighbors to hear.
“you sure you can be quiet?” he asked.
“someone’s sure of himself,” she teased.
now, as she reads his text, her skin flushes hot, remembering the slow, sexy grunts he was letting out. she replies: you were louder than me.
he texts back: no baby i think the whole building heard you. she replies: you’re remembering wrong…
he says: do i have to prove it? she texts: yes.
that night, they go out on a date, and instead of starting the engine when they reach his car after dinner, rafe leans closer to her, putting a hand on her bare thigh, lifting up her dress.
“you wanna go somewhere you don’t have to worry about being loud?” he asks.
she can only nod, body tingling at the feeling of his hand dipping to grip her inner thigh.
he parks the car at the dead end of a street, no buildings in sight, and wastes no time shutting off the engine and shifting to unbuckle her seatbelt.
they’re a tangle of limbs as they kiss and shift to the backseat, rafe sitting up while she straddles him, their breaths shallow.
he grips her ass as she grinds against him, their cheeks grazing with every movement.
“none of that holding back bullshit, alright?” he rasps into her ear.
“yeah,” she breathes. “and none of that i’m louder bullshit, either.”
rafe smirks against her mouth.
“you honestly think i’m louder?” he says. “i really do need to prove it, hmm?”
“i guess i need to record us,” she sighs.
the thought thrills him as he watches her lean back to pull her phone out from her purse. she settles her phone onto the console, the car too dark to film any visuals, but close enough to film their sounds.
he grips her ass tighter once she settles on him again, a whispered gasp spilling from her mouth.
“already losing?” he teases.
she lowers her hand between their bodies, gripping him over his jeans. he whispers a shit, making her smile.
it’s immediately a competition, both of them doing what they know will earn moans of pleasure from the other.
he yanks the front of her dress down, capturing her nipple in his mouth. she strains to hold back her moan.
she unzips his jeans, roughly tugging them down with his boxers, rubbing the precum over his tip with her thumb, making him throw his head back and groan low.
he dips two fingers into her mouth, getting them wet with her spit, before shifting her panties to the side and sinking them inside her. this time, she can’t stifle her moan.
she rides his fingers, writhing and panting, eventually getting so impatient that she grasps his wrist to move his hand so she can ride him the way she wants to. she holds him at his base as she sinks down onto him, his groan filling the car.
“fuck,” rafe murmurs. “no warning?”
“do you need one?” she taunts.
his hands tightly grasp her hips, feeling her roll her body, using him, leaning forward to rub her clit against his skin to find the best friction.
she rolls her eyes back as he tightens his hold onto her hips and starts fucking her from his seated position, thrusting hard.
her breathy moans are getting away from her, so she covers her mouth with her hand, but he roughly grips her wrist and pins it at her lower back, locking his lips against the crook of her neck as he slams into her.
she clenches around him, purposely to provoke him, and it works, his groan deep and guttural.
“you’re not gonna make me come first,” he whispers.
“i am,” she says, “you’re gonna come so fucking hard inside me.”
“goddamn,” he groans. “you can’t talk like that.”
“because i’ll win?”
rafe clenches his jaw, shifting to get her on her back. she sinks into the firm seat as he cups the back of her knees, propping her legs up before he leans to push into her again.
he hates that he can’t move as freely as he wants to in the backseat, but it’s enough to make her gasp in pleasure when he starts to rub her clit with his thumb.
her hands press against the car door as he pounds into her, tracing circles on her clit, the car shaking with how hard he’s fucking her.
“this pussy belongs to me,” he breathes. “say it.”
“it’s yours, it’s yours,” she sighs, her words rushed, arching her back. she plays with her tits just for him to watch and he can’t look away, even if she is doing it just to make him groan, to make him come first.
“look at me,” he orders. she meets his eyes in the dim car and stares at him as he slams into her, rubbing her clit with perfect pressure, filling her over and over again. “you’re my good girl, aren’t you?”
he knows praise always sends her over the edge. frustrated, she bites her lip.
“taking it so fucking good,” he rasps. “so fucking good.”
the sweet, sinful mix of his words, the sounds of him pounding into her and playing with her, the feeling of pressure and tightness becomes too much and she can’t control the wave of pleasure that washes over her.
she tightens around him again and he can’t hold back any longer, coming inside her while her walls flutter around him. their moans tangle together, filling the car with a loud, shared groan.
they’re a panting mess afterwards. he kisses her slowly, lazily, as they come down. once they find the strength to put their clothes back on and move to the front seats again, she stops the recording.
“i don’t even know who won,” she laughs breathily. “i guess we can check later.”
rafe is so weak that he can barely speak.
“i won,” he says.
she rolls her eyes and smooths down her hair.
they listen to the recording once he pulls up in front of her building to drop her off. they decide it’s a tie. mainly because hearing it turned them on all over again and they’d rather pretend to agree so that they can go up to her room and do it again.

In sleeping with the enemy,
What if people know that they’re just fucking and the jealous girls give shit to reader about how she’s just a lay making her cry and then rafe hearing about it
THE ANGST OF THIS. I LOVE IT 🙂‍↕️
based on this fic
she and rafe keep hooking up with no strings attached and actually develop a good friendship. they both like how the other is direct. they don’t bullshit each other. it’s easy because he’s never really cared to mince his words and she’s so jaded about love and men that she doesn’t worry about hurting his feelings.
she gives him shit about how he has no emotions and he says she’s the exactly the same way. it’s what makes their dynamic so good. they don’t have to worry about feelings getting in the way. they’re friends with benefits in the purest form.
their time together almost always revolves around sex, but sometimes they hang out as friends, and one night, rafe invites her to a frat party on his college campus.
she recognizes a few cheerleaders from rafe’s team at the party and they’re immediately shooting her dirty looks. one of them says “i don’t know why he invited her” loudly and she can tell right away that one of the girls in the group must have a history with rafe because her friends look to be comforting her.
“she’s just a piece of ass to him,” another says, clearly projecting her voice. at this point, she knows she shouldn’t care, but the harsh truth that she hasn’t found a guy who wants to be serious with her yet stings.
she’d stand up for herself, but she’s had a rough day and she hates that she’s alone at that moment, so she rushes out of the party, upset that they succeeded in making her cry.
rafe notices her leaving in a rush, wedging out of the crowd. she hears him calling her name when she steps out of the house into the night air.
“are you crying?” he asks. he’s only ever seen her having fun, pissed off, or horny. this is new.
“don’t give me shit about it, alright?” she says, stopping in her tracks and wiping her tears away. “i’m not in the mood.”
“did something happen?” he asks, albeit awkwardly. he’s never been good at dealing with other people’s feelings. and he’s never seen her vulnerable like this.
“people are just assholes,” she responds.
“who?” he’s pissed off. who the fuck felt like they had the right to mess with her?
“some girls on your cheer squad,” she replies. “they were saying i’m just a piece of ass to you. and don’t worry, i don’t care about that. i know we’re just messing around. but they were so mean about it.”
rafe scoffs. he knows which girls she’s talking about immediately. he steps closer, tense but determined when he squeezes her hand.
“what are you doing?” she says, cracking a smile. he never acts like this. affectionate. like he cares.
“it’s not about you,” he tells her. “i hooked up with one of them forever ago. i told her i didn’t want to date but she’s obsessed with me. don’t let them get in your head.”
she looks at rafe quizzically.
“you’re just being nice so i don’t stop hooking up with you,” she says, admittedly feeling better.
“is it working?” rafe asks, smirking. she laughs and rolls her eyes and pushes him away.
he doesn’t know when he started actually giving a shit about someone else’s happiness, but it happened with her. seeing her cry made him feel a hard, twisted way he’s never felt before.
“get fucked,” she laughs. he can tell he really did console her. she’s smiling again.
“promise?” rafe says with a grin. he takes her hand again, pulling her towards the house. “you’re not leaving. i didn’t bring you so you’d go home a minute later. i’ll set them straight if they fuck with you again, alright? let’s have fun.”
“fun?” she repeats. “i’m not hooking up with you in a closet, just so you know.”
“i know,” rafe says, hand at the small of her back as they enter the party again. “we can find a bed around here, i bet.”
she shoves his shoulder, mirroring his smile as he guides her through the crowd.

why do i see cheerleader reader having daddy issues, so when she tells rafe she’s pregnant, she’s so emotional and scared about how he’s gonna react and if he’s gonna break up with her or something
it tracks 🥺 she always expects to be disappointed by men and it’s not just because every guy she’s dated before rafe has treated her badly…
based on this fic
when she moves in with rafe after she finishes her post-grad internship, she’s still on the pill. one day, she’s complaining about the side effects of it as she’s making herself lunch and her boyfriend says, “then stop taking it.”
she looks at him from across the kitchen.
“we’d have to use protection,” she says. “every time.”
“sure. but is it so bad if…?”
she’s shocked. they’ve been together for about two years now and they’ve never talked about kids past a mention of it’d be nice to be parents some day.
“if i get pregnant?” she says.
“yeah.”
“isn’t that fast?”
“not for me. is it fast for you?”
she shrugs. maybe it’s not so crazy. they have their future set. a child would be a nice addition. they haven’t talked about marriage, but she’s in no rush. they don’t have to be married to have a baby.
“if we both want it… i guess if it happens, it happens,” she mumbles. “but our lives would change really, really drastically.”
“i know,” rafe says comfortingly.
she continues to make herself food and he stares at her, imagining her with a baby bump and that bump turning into a little human who’s a mix of him and the person he loves most.
he knows she’d be a great mom. and he’s always wanted to be a dad. he’s always wanted to undo how his own father had raised him, making his only son have to struggle for his fleeting approval.
three months later, she misses her period. she doesn’t tell rafe. she picks up a pregnancy test. she doesn’t tell him that, either. when she sees the double lines on the test, she’s standing in the middle of their bathroom, her body trembling.
and she hates that she doesn’t feel excited. she’s scared. she thought she wanted this. she hoped for a positive. but this isn’t the feeling she thought she’d have.
she goes through the motions of ordering a custom newborn basketball jersey with cameron stitched on the back, having dreamed of telling rafe that they’re expecting that way.
a couple of days later, it comes in the mail. she has actually sort of liked keeping the secret while she waited because it meant she could pretend it wasn’t real yet.
she does what she thinks she should do. she puts the tiny shirt in a bag, sets up her phone to record, and calls him over to tell him something came for him. this is what a woman who’s excited to tell him would do, she tells herself.
at first, when rafe opens the bag, he doesn’t say anything. his jaw goes slack, he blinks a bunch of times, and then he pulls her in for a tight hug.
she’s already shaking, tears in her eyes, when she hears him sniffle. he pulls back. his hands are firm on her cheeks, gazing at her through glossy blue eyes.
“you’re happy?” she whispers.
“yeah,” he responds, saying it like it’s obvious. “we wanted this, right?”
rafe stills for a moment when he sees just how anguished she looks. she doesn’t seem happy at all.
“right?” he repeats.
“yeah,” she says, nodding and looking down. “i don’t know. it’s weird. maybe it’s the hormones already.”
“how long have you known? do you feel okay?”
“just a couple days,” she says. “i’m tired. a little nauseous. but he hasn’t made me throw up yet.”
“he?”
she meets her boyfriend’s eyes.
“i know it’s too soon to tell,” she says, “but i really hope it’s a boy. you’ll feel more connected to a boy.”
he can tell by the way she’s stuttering and crying that something’s wrong.
“baby,” he mumbles. “i’ll feel connected no matter what. it’s my kid.”
she shudders, nodding through her sobs.
“what’s up?” rafe says softly. “do you… are you regretting it?”
“no,” she replies, “but are you sure you want this?”
“yes. we talked about it,” he reminds her. “it’s not like this was an accident.”
“yeah,” she mumbles, looking down at her lap again.
rafe stares at her, slightly shaking his head in disbelief. she’s acting like this was unexpected. like she’s wishing they never started trying.
“what is it?” he says. “if you don’t want this, then just tell me.”
she curls up, slouching as she dips her head into her hands, the tears coming harder now.
“if it gets hard…” she whimpers, her voice muffled. “you can’t leave me to do it on my own. you can’t.”
he’s floored. they haven’t mentioned anything about the possibility of things not working out with them in ages. and back when they did, it was almost always rafe needing reassurance that she wasn’t planning on leaving him.
“i would never do that,” he says. “look at me.” his fingers wrap around her wrists, pulling her hands down from her face.
“where’s this coming from?” rafe mumbles. “did i do something?”
he thinks back to the past few days, trying to remember if he said something even in passing that would make her worry about him abandoning his girl and their baby.
the look in his eyes almost looks like betrayal. like he can’t believe she’s saying this.
she swallows hard, coming to terms with what’s been swimming in her head for days now. her father was absent. the only example she had of a dad was one who never really acted like he wanted a kid at all.
“i don’t know what it looks like,” she begins, “when a man actually wants to be a dad. maybe you’re excited now, but what if when it gets hard? when he’s crying or sick or keeping us awake?”
“we’ll deal with it,” he says. he pushes past his own ache to try to understand her.
his cups her hands in his, searching her face with concerned eyes. he remembers her opening up to him long ago about how she always wondered if her dad would have loved her more if she was a son instead of a daughter.
“when he or she is giving us hell, we’ll deal with it,” he says. “i love them already. there’s nothing that’ll change that.”
he puts a hand on her stomach, rubbing gently. she finally cracks a smile, softly laughing. his chest loses its tightness when he sees her look happy for the first time since he got home.
“i was reading that it’s the size of a pomegranate seed right now,” she says.
he smiles in awe, kissing her wet cheek.
“what’s next?” he asks. “what appointments do we make? what should you be eating?”
she laughs again. rafe has always been so intense, so focused on the next step.
“let me catch my breath first,” she teases. she looks over, just now remembering she filmed all this.
“my bad, baby,” he laughs. “breathe. this’ll be good, alright?”
“alright,” she says. and she believes it.

I'm really sorry to request this for sleeping with the enemy but I'm a sucker for angsty fics.
But what about their first fight as a couple? Maybe they're fighting over a stupid thing and they are both petty and don't want the other person to be right?
(or they have makeup sex and everything turns out fine lol)
OMG I LOVE IT SO MUCH. DON’T BE SORRY. angst will always be my fav 🙂‍↕️ (the length of this blurb is proof)
they got into arguments as friends but as a couple, they get way more emotional. they’re both confrontational and stubborn and have commitment issues that come out in different ways so it gets ugly 🫣
based on this fic
they’ve been official for almost a month now. as friends, their arguments were silly and usually short-lived, but this fight is nothing like those.
it was a saturday night at a house party on rafe’s college campus. they split off at one point in the night and when she went searching for him, she found him in the backyard, standing with a group of guys she hadn’t seen before.
the smell of weed hit her instantly. panic set in. if he gets caught doing drugs, his future is shot. one random drug test and he’ll be kicked off the team.
she approached him, resting her hand on his bicep, and said to him quietly but sternly, “what are you doing?”
rafe was drunk but caught the sharpness of her tone, looking down at her with a scowl.
“what’s with the attitude?” he muttered.
“are you serious? you can’t smoke. don’t be stupid about this.”
one of his friends overheard, letting out a dramatic hoot as he held a lit joint to his lips, clearly taunting rafe for being scolded.
“just go back inside,” rafe snapped.
his buddies jeered, chuckles scattering over the group.
“what?” she said.
he wriggled out of her grip, looking away from her. she huffed in disbelief before storming off, anger rushing through her.
it’s tuesday afternoon and they still haven’t spoken. all over a ten-second conversation. it’s how their arguments would always go as friends. both of them get mad, fast, then don’t talk for a few days.
but this is different. it hurts way more.
rafe went looking for her at the party later on and realized she left. he was her ride there so he called her a few times, worried about how she was getting back.
when she didn’t answer, he texted her: at least tell me you got home. she replied: home.
now, she’s sitting at a cafe on her campus, working on a paper. she opens their text conversation a few times a day, hoping maybe she just missed a notification from him. but all she sees is their last bitter exchange.
and even though she’s pissed beyond belief that he disrespected her, she’s following his home game today. she watches every game she can.
it’s been a close one for three quarters now. she has the stream playing, taking up half of her laptop screen. when the fourth quarter starts, she watches rafe continue to dominate the court.
but her stomach drops when she sees him fall after a collision with another player. because he doesn’t get up.
she makes the stream fullscreen, watching with wide eyes. he limps off the court. he doesn’t come back out for the rest of the game. her heart is twisted in a knot.
even though she’s angry and hurt that he hasn’t looked past his pride and called or texted, she already knows that she’s going to go over to his place later to check up on him.
it’s almost sunset when rafe parks his car, her campus blanketed in a warm orange glow. the past few days have been hell. now his ankle is throbbing in pain. and he still hasn’t talked to his girl.
he hates this. the way he’s always the first to make contact after an argument. it makes him feel like he has no backbone. he should stay mad at her. she assumed the worst. embarrassed him. she should be running after him.
he’s parked in front of her dorm building. he pulls out his phone and stares at his call history for a moment before tapping her name.
it rings a couple times. then he hears her voice.
“hello?”
“come downstairs,” he says sternly. “i’m in front of your building.”
she pauses before she answers.
“i’m not home. i’m at your house,” she tells him. “i just got here. liam told me you went out. you should be resting.”
rafe rakes his hand through his hair. even though their tones are terse, his stomach flips knowing that she probably still watched his game today. that she came over to see him after his injury. she sounds worried.
“stay there,” he says.
she hangs up, looking at liam from her spot on the house’s front step.
“i’ll just wait in his room,” she says. rafe’s teammate nods and steps aside so she can come in. after she asked him if rafe was home, her next question was what happened.
apparently, he sprained his ankle. she’s glad it’s not as bad as she imagined.
as she climbs up the stairs, liam calls her name.
“not my business,” he says when she turns to look at him, “but please figure this shit out. he’s been extra bitchy lately.”
she chuckles despite herself.
“did he tell you what happened?” she asks.
“no. he just keeps sulking. a bunch of us tried to get him to talk about it, but we got told to fuck off,” liam says with an indifferent shrug.
“i’ve never seen him like this, so i hope you guys fix whatever’s wrong. i know he can be…” he doesn’t find the right word. “but i can tell he really likes you. for what it’s worth.”
“thanks,” she says.
when rafe enters his room and sees her sitting in his desk chair, his body goes warm with a mixture of anger and longing. he missed her. looking at her. hearing her voice.
“you went to my dorm?” she asks.
he shuts the door behind him, leaving his keys and phone on his nightstand before sitting on his bed.
“yeah,” he says flatly. “to talk.”
he almost says something about how of course he’s the one who reached out first to try to mend things, but she must’ve come over with that same intention. or maybe not. maybe she came over to break up with him.
her eyes dart down to his ankle, her face crumpling with sadness.
“liam told me it’s a sprain. how bad is it?” she asks.
“bad,” rafe says, mostly so she’ll feel bad for him. when he sees her frown, he realizes it worked, and then he feels rotten for trying to manipulate her.
she has that effect on him. she makes him want to be a better person. he doesn’t want to be manipulative or cruel or angry. not with her.
“it’ll heal in a few days,” he adds to ease her worry. “i’m good. it’s nothing.”
“okay,” she says, clearly relieved. “i brought some ibuprofen in case you don’t have any.”
“why?” he says, still on edge.
“i’m still gonna worry about you. no matter how much you hurt me.”
she looks down as she rifles through her bag, pulling out the pill bottle and tossing it on his mattress.
“i hurt you?” he mutters, his tone sharp. “you think this is on me?”
“are you for real?” she matches his intensity immediately, her voice going louder. “you basically told me to get lost in front of your friends. they laughed at me.”
“you’ve gotta be fucking kidding me,” he scoffs with a pissed off, disbelieving smile. what she did was way worse.
“do you have any idea how humilating that was?” she snaps. rafe stares at her with a tight jaw. “i was worried. they do random drug tests all the time. what if they found it in your system? and you fucked up your future just because you wanted to get high at a random party?”
“you think i need you to do that for me?” he shouts. “think back. did you see me smoking? did i look high?”
“you were standing in a circle of guys who were passing a joint around,” she says. “it’s not crazy of me to assume.”
he shakes his head and scoffs.
“rafe,” she says evenly. “you disappeared. you looked like you were on something. i got freaked out.”
“and then called me stupid.”
“i didn’t call you stupid,” she counters. but she knows her argument is flimsy. her impulsive words were harsh. telling him don’t be stupid was basically calling him stupid.
“oh, my god,” he mutters angrily. he stands up, hands on his hips as he paces over to the door and back to the bed, trying to cool down, even on his sore ankle. “imagine i came up to you like that in front of your friends. you’d lose your shit way worse than i did.”
“please sit down,” she says. “you need to keep your weight off your foot.”
he doesn’t listen.
“i didn’t find you to fight with you that night,” she continues. she takes a deep breath, anger rushing through her veins. “i was just worried. and then you were mean to me, saying something about my attitude-”
“yeah, because you came over with a stick up your ass,” he says. “it was so embarrassing that you talked to me like that in front of people.”
“what, because i’m a girl?” she scoffs.
“because you’re my girl,” he snaps.
she stills, staring at him as he stands in the middle of his room. a few moments of tense silence sink between them.
“i had a few drinks,” he says. “that was all. i know about the drug tests. i’m not an idiot. i’ve been playing since freshman year. i was hanging out with some guys i know from one of my classes. they were smoking. i wasn’t. that was it.”
she lets his words wash over her.
“please sit down,” she finally says again, tears pricking her eyes. “please. i don’t want you to hurt yourself.”
she sniffles. he gives in and sits back down, elbows on his knees as he sits hunched over.
rafe swallows the lump in his throat, his gaze on the floor. he’s not used to someone caring about him this much. he’s always only had himself. even when he’s yelling at her, she’s pleading for him to rest.
he hates the feeling of being told what to do. but when it comes from her, it’s because she gives a shit. and that makes it feel almost okay.
“i’m sorry,” she says, her tone wobbly. “i shouldn’t have used that word. i shouldn’t have embarrassed you. i don’t think you’re stupid. i just hated the thought of you losing everything you’ve worked so hard for.”
she sighs shakily.
“but when you talked to me like that…” she says. “it made me feel so… small. they were laughing at me and you weren’t on my side. it reminded me of how those idiots started treating me after we started seeing each other.”
rafe’s lips twist tightly. so many of the guys on the team she cheers for and even some of the girls on her squad started alienating her, treating her like she was a traitor just for hanging out with rafe.
he knows how much that messed with her head. then the person she went through all that for embarrassed her in front of some guys who don’t even matter.
finally, his gaze meets hers. her stomach sinks once she sees that his eyes are glossy. she’s never seen him cry. he’s this affected? she thought he was just mad at her for being a bitch to him in front of his buddies.
“you told me before,” he mutters, “that you expect every relationship to crash and burn. you expect the worst from every guy you date.”
she blinks back tears. she did tell him that, word for word, back when they were just friends. it was a moment of drunken vulnerability when she was talking about how every man she’d ever been with just let her down. she didn’t think he’d remember it. that he’d apply it to himself.
“it was like you made your mind up,” he says. “you were already sure i was hiding something from you, already fucking something up.”
her forehead crinkles. she didn’t think that he’d see it like that.
“listen, i…” rafe exhales slowly. his anger has almost completely dissolved now that she actually apologized. now that she said it, he feels like he doesn’t deserve the sorry. she was just looking out for him. “i’m sorry, too. i was an asshole.”
she bites her lip. he doesn’t say more. she waits. and waits. and waits. but that’s his entire apology.
“okay,” she finally says, unsure of how to resolve this. she’s still carrying the weight of pain he caused her. he doesn’t seem to get how badly he hurt her.
“okay what?” he asks. his mind is racing. “okay like, this is over? you’re done?”
“no,” she says, her brows furrowing.
rafe looks miserable, sorrow etched into his features, and even though she’s still hurting, still mad at him, she seals the distance between them, moving to settle on the bed across from him.
“you know how shitty these past few days have been?” he says. “hoping you’ll text me but at the same time, hoping you won’t because what if the message says you want to go back to being friends? or just never want to see me again at all?”
the ache in her heart doubles.
“it didn’t cross my mind once to break up with you,” she says.
“really?” rafe meets her eyes again. he looks genuinely shocked by her words. she had no idea he was so afraid of being left. so sure that she’d give up on him so quickly.
“of course,” she whispers.
the tension in rafe’s chest slowly loosens from her reassurance. he comes closer, his guard crumbling. her hand is on his knee. he puts his hand over hers.
“this has been rough on me, too,” she says, sniffling. “i kept waiting for you to call. i hated that you brushed me off like that. and now it’s like you don’t even get how much you hurt me.”
this is a punch to his gut. but he deserves it.
“i was pissed. i wasn’t thinking straight,” he says. “and i… i called that night, remember? like five times. you only texted me that you were home and you never called back.”
her breath shakes again. he didn’t do enough. he can see that now.
“i should’ve kept calling,” he says. “i’m sorry, baby. i am. you were just looking out for me. i fucked up.”
his words make her anger lose its sharpness.
“so did i. i don’t expect the worst from you,” she mumbles. “i know how hard you work. i know you’re serious about basketball. i just… panicked.”
rafe needs to kiss her, to have the tangible evidence that she still wants him as bad as he wants her.
he leans forward, giving her the softest kiss he’s ever given her. he doesn’t have it in him to pull back. not when he’s missed her so bad that it hurts.
he gently presses his palm against the back of her neck, guiding her to nuzzle into him. he kisses the top of her head as she rests her cheek on his shoulder.
“i miss you so goddamn much,” he admits. “you have no idea how much i think about you.”
he feels her nod against him.
“me, too.”
“i’m sorry, okay?” rafe says.
“me, too,” she echoes.
they stay like that, curled into each other, hearts starting to beat in unison again.
as she breathes rafe’s scent, a warmth that she’s committed to memory now, she realizes they’re carrying more baggage than she would’ve expected.
maybe she does assume he’ll lie to her and disappoint her. it must be a knee-jerk reaction after so many failed relationships.
and he clearly has a fear of being left. he looked like he didn’t even believe her when she told him she wasn’t considering breaking up with him. maybe he never let anyone in before because he was sure they’d eventually bail on him.
but she knew they were both stubborn. both explosive. both their own version of damaged. it took three days and a long, tense argument to get here, touching again.
beneath the ache they share, she has hope. they came to each other to resolve this. this was their first fight as a couple and they made it out to the other end.
it might be hard sometimes. but as she feels his arms encircle her, heavy and warm and comforting, she knows it’s worth it. he’s worth it.
she lets out another shaky breath and he kisses the top of her head again. he can’t lose her. he won’t survive it if he does.

Omg! We need to know what happened in the college library 😍
basketballplayer! rafe is so into public sex and nobody can convince me otherwise 👀 (this is in their fwb stage)
based on this fic! mentioned in this blurb! 18+!
it starts with her posting a selfie on her snap story in her school’s library with the caption: came all the way to the library just to pretend to study.
rafe replies to it with: can’t pretend to graduate tho. she says: blocking you and he replies: oh nooo how will i live.
she always finds herself smiling at her phone whenever she’s talking with him. she never thought she’d find a friend in him of all people, but she’s happy she did.
a few minutes later, he texts her: how long u planning to be at the library?
she replies: like another hour. why? you still good to meet at 3?
they have plans to go to a volleyball game on her campus after she got extra tickets from a friend. maybe he forgot. but he only asks her how he can get to her. she sends him the details.
soon after, rafe finds her on the top floor of her college library. it’s isolated and quiet, overlooking the courtyard.
admittedly, the second he saw the photo she posted, he was turned on. it’s crazy how a girl’s face alone can do this to him. the photo wasn’t even suggestive. she’s just that hot.
“here to beg for forgiveness?” she asks quietly as he paces towards the desk she’s sitting at. he’s wearing basketball shorts and a t-shirt that he’s filling out well.
“forgiveness?” he settles in the chair beside her, smelling like his body wash.
he showered. she knows him well enough now; he always showers before a hook-up. he’s definitely here for that. he actually drove from his campus to hers in the middle of the day for it, hours before they were supposed to meet. she smirks at the realization.
“for being rude,” she says, gazing at his handsome features. the corner of his mouth curls into a smile, not even hiding that his eyes are trailing down her body.
she crosses her arms, purposely giving him a view of how low the top of her dress dips.
“not what i’m here for,” he says. he licks his lips as he glances at her chest, then meets her eyes. “you looked bored. i’m bored, too.”
“no, i think you’re something else,” she whispers. only three other people are in this section upstairs, far away and scattered across desks, but she can’t be too careful.
“and what’s that?” his voice is low, almost raspy.
“you know what.”
“yeah?” he says. his hand lands on the top of hers, guiding her palm to his lap. “check.”
of course he’s making her do the rest of the work. making her show how badly she wants him, too.
she looks around to make sure nobody’s watching, her heartrate quickening, and gives in to her body’s impulse to trail her hand up higher. his bulge is hard under his shorts.
she meets his eyes again with hitched breath, pulling back, arousal twisting deep in her core.
“anywhere we can go around here?” he asks, tilting his head as he leans closer.
“here?” she echoes. “in the library?”
“yeah,” he drawls. “why not?”
“we’ll get caught,” she says, but admittedly, the risk is thrilling.
“or we won’t,” rafe tells her.
it doesn’t even feel like she’s giving in to him. she wants to do it. she quickly packs her laptop in her bag and they make their way to the shelves lining the dim, even more desolate side of the top floor.
she inspects the ceiling for cameras, relieved to find none, and when she finally looks at rafe again, he’s stepping close to her, hands on her hips as he guides her back against a bookshelf.
she leaves her bag on the floor, gazing up at him as his chest presses against hers. his hot mouth is on her neck, grinding so she can feel how hard he is for her.
his fingers dip beneath her dress, cupping between her legs with cool fingers.
“think you can be quiet?” rafe whispers. she shudders as he slowly rubs over her panties with one hand while pulling down his shorts with the other.
she nods, all her composure lost.
“no matter how good it feels, alright?” he teases, his lips against hers. “i know you can get loud sometimes.”
“hurry up,” she says impatiently, tilting her hips forward to press against his hand. he chuckles at her desperation, pulling himself out of his boxers and shifting her panties to the side.
she hikes her leg up, arching her back as he guides himself into her. his eyes squeeze shut in pleasure once he feels her wrapped around him, burying into her with a hard jolt.
he has to keep his knees bent to be low enough for her. he holds her at the underside of her thigh, keeping her propped up as he starts to rock in and out of her.
her breaths are shallow and match his pace, an exhale with every thrust he takes. he watches her, the way her lips are parted as he slams into her, her hands tangling in his hair.
rafe lets out a low “fuck” once she starts to rock against him and her brows furrow in frustration. she brings her hand to his mouth, feeling him smile against her palm. when she quietly laughs, he mirrors her, putting his hand against her lips.
they stay like that, palms covering each other’s mouths, bodies joining in the best way, the thrill of the risk of being caught adding sparks in the air between them.
it takes everything in him not to grunt when he comes, breathing hard against her hand. once his body weakens, she pushes him back and starts to fix her dress.
“what about you?” he says, panting.
“i’m too scared we’ll get caught,” she says with a hushed laugh, pushing her dress down, eyes darting around. as good as it felt, she can’t imagine coming when she’s so on edge about being caught.
rafe isn’t okay with it. with other girls, it’s not like he’s totally selfish and only focused on his own pleasure, but if a girl doesn’t seem keen or direct about wanting to orgasm, he doesn’t care.
but with her, he does. it’s actually kind of jarring how much he does.
he tells her they’re going to her dorm. and once has her on her bed, he pulls her dress up again, slides her panties off, and uses his fingers and his tongue to bring her to her peak, revelling in the sound of her moans and the fact that she doesn’t have to worry about being quiet this time.
her body feels so relaxed afterwards that she actually thanks him. rafe smirks, gazing down at her as she comes down from her high, still in awe of her and the effect she has on him.
“what?” she laughs when she notices him staring.
“nothing,” he says. “you’re welcome.”
she laughs again, nudging him, unable to believe the turn her day took.

basketballplayer!rafe doing body shots off of cheerleader!reader and everybody is around them hyping them up and recording. after rafe carries her to a room in the house to fuck cause he’s hornyyyy
aaaaa YES i love their college days 🤭
based on this fic! 18+!
rafe is already buzzed when she arrives.
“your wife’s here!” his housemate shouts over the music. rafe grins when she walks into the crowded party with a couple of her friends.
it’s been just over a week since they became official and scrapped their ‘best friends’ title, and his teammates love that they can taunt him for being ‘married’ without him telling them shut up or it’s not like that.
she’s more uncovered than she is clothed in her shorts and tank-top. he’s seen her naked so many times and knowing what she looks like underneath those flimsy pieces of fabric makes his groin tighten already.
she drapes her arms over his firm shoulders to hug him in greeting and he pulls her by the waist and presses his lips against hers. boisterous jeers surround them.
“are they ever going to stop?” she mumbles into his ear as his friends holler, his cheek warm against hers.
“don’t think so.” she can hear the smile in his voice. she knows he has authority as captain and can get the guys to stop if he really wants them to. but maybe he likes the reminder that they’re really together now. “how are you, baby?”
“i had a shitty day,” she tells him.
“how come?” rafe pulls back, gazing at her through softer eyes.
“my classes dragged,” she tells him. “practice was annoying. and now i gotta deal with you.”
“shut up,” he mutters with a laugh. “i’m the best part of your day.”
“is that what you tell yourself?”
“do you need to get out of my house?”
“sure,” she says, pretending to step back. his fingers wrap around her wrist as he tugs her towards him. she laughs, pressed up against him again.
“we’re doing shots,” a voice behind her says, startling her. rafe laughs when she jumps in his arms.
“good,” she says. “i obviously need a drink.”
rafe stands behind her, hands on her hips, as she throws back a couple of vodka shots, looking at him with an adorable wince as the liquor burns down her throat.
“cameron!” they hear. rafe’s housemate liam captures their attention, along with a few other partygoers. “you ever hear that saying about how your girlfriend is the best shot glass?”
laughs scatter across the crowd.
“are we about to get peer pressured into doing a body shot?” she asks with a smile and shake of her head, looking up at her boyfriend.
“i mean, if we have to…” he says. his face is flushed pink and his lids are low. he’s maybe one shot away from being plastered. and she’s starting to feel the buzz from her shots, too. maybe that’s why lying on the dining room table in front of everyone doesn’t sound so crazy.
she settles on the hard surface on her back, her palms over her eyes as she laughs, unable to believe that they’re really doing this.
she lays her arms at her sides and can see a few phones pointed at her as rafe stands by the edge of the table, clumsily getting a few things ready.
“i’m doing tequila,” rafe slurs over the music. she laughs.
“is that a good idea?” she half-shouts.
he holds out a lime wedge over her and she rolls her eyes before opening her mouth just wide enough to let him prop it between her teeth.
rafe’s fingers are hot as he pulls up the hem of her top, exposing her stomach and the bottom of her bra. he loves that the girl everyone is looking at right now is his.
he leans over her, his dimples deep in his cheeks as he smirks, and bends down to run his tongue up the side of her neck.
everyone watching hoots loudly and she feels her cheeks burn. they’ve been affectionate in front of people before, but never sexual like this.
he leaves a warm line of his spit on her, allowing the salt he shakes over her skin to stick.
rafe lifts the tequila bottle, hand a bit shaky as he concentrates on pouring it in her belly button. it’s hilarious, considering how precise and steady he is on the court, to see him so clumsy.
“wait, wait,” he says, a lazy smile on his face, “i need to focus.”
“then focus,” she laughs.
the tequila is cool as it forms a puddle on her navel. she shakes as she laughs, making some of it spill over on her side.
“stay still,” rafe drawls, still smiling, his hands firm on her hips.
“hurry up,” she says, laughing. she’s glad that even their relationship has changed, it hasn’t much, still bickering even when they’re drunk.
he quickly shifts to lick the salt on her neck, then he moves to press his open mouth against her stomach, sucking the liquor off of her body.
rafe just barely grimaces as he swallows the sharp tequila. he shifts back up to bite the lime in her mouth, but impatiently spits it out on the table and takes the opportunity to kiss her.
“that’s not part of it!” she hears one of his friends shout. rafe smiles against her lips, dipping his tongue into her mouth, and she laughs, cradling his jaw with both her hands, tasting the bitter alcohol.
“we need to go upstairs,” rafe mumbles when he pulls away, inches away from her. she knows what he sounds like when he’s turned on. she sees his hand over his groin, hiding that he’s hard.
“should i flash everyone to distract them?” she jokes.
“don’t fuck around,” he laughs. “come on.”
he yanks her off the table by her hips. if he goes another minute without being inside her, he might just go insane.
“alright, bye, i guess?” liam calls loudly as they rush up the stairs together.
rafe’s pushes her onto his bed, kissing her fast and rough. they strip off each other’s clothes, breathing heavily, hot skin quickly making contact.
“get on your knees,” he orders. “ass up.”
she obeys, fingers bunching in his sheets as she feels his big hands run down her bare back. his hand comes down hard on her ass, making her gasp in pleasure.
when she feels the head of his cock up against her, she arches her back, hungry for him.
he takes in the sight, her ass in the air for him, her middle gleaming with wetness. he rubs the tip against her entrance just to taunt her before finally pushing forward.
“fuck,” he whispers as he starts to sink into her. she arches her back even more so he can quickly plunge deeper into her.
rafe doesn’t take it slow. he pulls back and then forward immediately, finding his pace and slamming into her with his hands on her hips.
she exhales with every thrust, moaning over the sound of the bass-heavy music downstairs.
“i bet every guy down there wishes they could fuck you,” he says hoarsely. “but who’s fucking you, huh? tell me.”
“you are,” she groans.
“lying on that table like that,” rafe mutters. “i wanted to fuck you right there.”
she moans into the mattress as he plunges into her even harder and faster. when his hand drags down her stomach and over her clit, rubbing in tight circles, she starts to see stars.
he feels her clenching around him, her walls fluttering and her body shaking. she comes with a loud moan, loving that she doesn’t have to worry about anyone hearing like she usually does when they fuck in his room.
he grips the back of her neck to keep her steady so he can fuck her as hard as he wants to, his groans low with every rough thrust.
her thighs start to ache as he pounds in her and when his hips start to stutter against her, she knows he’s close. he squeezes the back of her neck as he reaches his peak, coming inside her in hard jerks.
rafe needs a moment before he can get up to get her a towel. she’s lying on her back when he comes into the room again, wiping the mess off of her, albeit clumsily from how drunk he is.
they laugh at nothing together, and he settles beside her, loving that her instinct is to wrap her arms around him again. his cheek is on her heaving chest as she cuddles him.
it’s almost unbelievable to her how they can go from fucking so roughly to hugging so fast. she starts to stroke his hair, still catching her breath. she doesn’t know if she even has the strength to go back downstairs.
she lets her eyelids flutter shut, still riding her high, hugging her boyfriend with no intention of letting go any time soon.

can i request rafe getting into a fight because he heard someone talking bad about reader and he goes to her dorm and she cleans him up and he doesn't confess what happened because she would mock him or something like that?
YOU’RE SO SWEET OH MY GOSH THANK YOU 😭 i loved writing the one-shot and i’m so pleasantly surprised and touched that so many readers like the au!! tysm i love this request!!
based on this fic
before he knows it, rafe’s knuckles are pulsating with a sharp ache. it all happened so fast.
he’s at a bar off campus. he’s painfully sober. his team lost at an embarrassing margin today. and then, he heard one of the guys who’s dating a girl on his team’s cheerleading squad shit-talking his best friend.
he called her an attention whore. said she purposely hikes up her skirt when she dances at games and will say yes to any guy who asks for ‘you know what’.
rafe knows the truth. this guy likely got caught looking at her by his girlfriend and is now overcompensating by saying how gross the hawks’ cheerleader is.
even though his words were bullshit, they were more than enough for rafe to start swinging. unfortunately, his victim had friends near by. they got a few punches in. then he got kicked out of the bar.
at this point, she’s the only person who can make him feel better. so, he’s knocking on her door soon after. he invited her out tonight, but she told him she’s staying in to study.
she gasps when she opens the door and sees him holding a red stained tissue up against his mouth.
“what the fuck…” she breathes. “are you okay?”
before he can answer, she pulls him in by the crook of his elbow and guides him to sit on her desk, pushing her textbooks away.
she lowers his hand, eyes worryingly searching his face.
“how much does it hurt?” she says with a wince.
“it’s not that bad,” he says. it’s true. the adrenaline hasn’t worn off yet, but he’s sure he’ll be bruised up and sore tomorrow. “but i fucked up my hand.”
she looks down at him flexing his hand. his knuckles are red and swollen. she holds his hand in hers, her skin warm and soft, and shakes her head.
“shit,” she whispers. “i’ll be right back.”
she rushes out to the bathroom and comes back with paper towels, some damp and some dry. then, she pours him some water from her mini-fridge and puts a bottle of painkillers beside him on the desk.
rafe watches her in awe as she scrambles to help. he’s not sure he’s ever had someone be this worried about him. this determined to make him feel better.
he keeps his hands on his lap as she leans forward, dabbing the damp paper against his skin.
“lay it on me,” she says quietly. “and spare no details.”
rafe already rehearsed this in the car. he hates to lie to her considering the fact that honesty is basically the cornerstone of their friendship. but repeating what that jackass at the bar said is a waste of breath. it’ll just hurt her. he can’t hurt her.
“some guy was talking shit about the game,” he fibs.
“sorry. it was a rough one tonight,” she says. “last thing you needed was that.”
he had a game at a college an hour away tonight, so she had a stream of it playing as she studied. she watches his games whenever she can.
rafe is an amazing player. she never followed or cared this much about the career of any athlete she dated. and she’s not even dating him.
“it was bullshit,” he mutters.
“it was,” she agrees. she slowly runs the dry paper towel over where she moistened his cheek. “how many times did they rebound foul? i actually lost count.”
“exactly,” he says.
“and if i’m out of line, fine,” she continues, “but what the hell was morrow doing? was he tired? he was practically handing them opportunities.”
rafe nods. he laid into eddie morrow, his team’s small forward, for his shitty defensive transitions tonight.
“he told me he had a bad sleep,” rafe scoffs.
“great excuse,” she breathes. she straightens, looking at his cleaned up face.
it gives him an opportunity to stare at her. she’s so casual about it all. how quickly she swept in to clean him up. how much she knows about the game he lives and breathes. how beautiful she is.
how could anyone say anything bad about this woman?
“you’re a little swollen but still pretty, for what it’s worth,” she says with a smile. “i just hope your hand’s okay in time for your next game.”
even if it isn’t, rafe knows that punching someone for shit-talking her was worth it.
“take one if you want,” she tells him, picking up the bottle of painkillers. “get ahead of the pain.”
he pops a painkiller and gulps down the water she poured him.
“you wanna hang out here while i study?” she asks. “my room is way more exciting than some bar.”
she’s being sarcastic, but honestly, hanging out with her does sound like more fun than going out.
“sure,” he says simply. he’s exhausted. and being here feels good.
throughout the evening, rafe lies on her bed, scrolling on his phone while she studies at her desk. every so often, they fall into easy conversation. but it’s no surprise. everything between them is so effortless.
eventually, he starts dozing off and is about to stand to leave, but she tells him he can just pass out in her bed.
as rafe falls into his slumber, smelling her on her pillow, he tiredly mumbles that he wishes he met her sooner. she turns to look at him in surprise, feeling butterflies over his words when she knows she shouldn’t feel that way about her friend. his eyes are already shut.
he falls asleep thinking about how good she smells. she continues to study thinking about how nice is to have him around.

Bestie umm sorry (I’m h*rny) but could you write a blurb about Rafe x reader having sex for the first time after revealing their feelings for one another ?
aaa great minds 🤭 i was just thinking about this!!
based on this fic, continuation of this blurb! 18+!
rafe is lying awake in bed, staring at his ceiling in the dark, feeling like he needs to mentally catch up to everything that happened in the past 24 hours.
it’s all because he drunkenly called her his girlfriend last night. that set off a chain of events that eventually made them face the feelings they have for each other.
and even though he can’t pinpoint when his revenge hook-up turned best friend with benefits claimed a piece of his heart for her own, in retrospect, he can recognize the hints of proof that they weren’t just friends.
if she was always just a friend to him, he wouldn’t have spent so much time thinking about her. he wouldn’t have been in practice, trying to perfect his lay-ups, unable to really focus because he was looking forward to hanging out with her after. he wouldn’t have had so much fun doing something as mundane as grocery shopping with her. he wouldn’t be out with friends, all the while wishing he was with her in her dorm. he wouldn’t have liked the corny pillowtalk after sex as much as he liked the sex itself.
and now, he can’t stop thinking about how she felt pressed up against the couch earlier tonight. he was hard, because he always is when she’s touching him, but she has an early class tomorrow and he still feels like he got run over from how hard he partied last night and he knows that the next time they’re in bed together, it’ll be different because now they both know it’s not just sex. so he dropped her off without trying anything.
and honestly, he’s kind of nervous. this is all new. he never thought of himself as the boyfriend type, but then again, he didn’t know a girlfriend was this - a best friend who knows him inside and out and still chooses to like him.
he decides he’s taking her out tomorrow night. and then she’ll come over and he’ll show her just how much he appreciates that she’s a part of his life because he really has never felt as happy as he does when he’s around her.
through their whole friendship, rafe has been the decision maker. he makes the plans and all she has to do is show up. she loves that he does the work, and she knows she could tell him she wants to something else, and she has, but most of the time, she lets him be the boss because he does it so well. at least, in making plans. she challenges his dominance in other ways.
so, when he tells her to be ready for dinner at 7 the next day, she happily gets dressed and purposely puts on her nicest lingerie because she has a feeling that the night will end in his bed.
it’s not weird to greet each other with a kiss, even though they used to only kiss minimally during hook-ups. it’s not weird to hold hands as they walk up to the restaurant. it’s not weird when she playfully shoves his shoulder from across the table when he teases her and he kisses the back of her hand instead of pushing her away. it’s not weird, because it’s all things they both wanted to do but never did because they called each other just friends.
he suggests they go to his place and the moment his bedroom door shuts behind them, his hands are dragging up her thighs, squeezing her ass under her dress, kissing her hard.
rafe’s typically the aggressive one but now she’s shoving him back into bed, her hands on his hard chest, and he smiles under the kiss, revelling in how eager she is for him.
“can’t wait?” he mumbles, pulling her down by her waist on top of him.
she laughs softly, their noses touching as she lies on top of him, feeling his fingers sinking into her skin over her dress.
“what, can you?” she whispers, grinding up against him, feeling how he’s already hard as hell for her.
“you kidding?” he says. “no. look at you. you’re fucking beautiful.”
he’s never used that word before. outside of the bedroom, they were hardly ever verbally affectionate, and during sex, he called her hot a couple of times. this is new.
“i am?” she whispers, pressing her cheek against his as she starts to unbutton his shirt.
he’s overtaken by how badly he wants her, flipping her onto her back, kissing and nipping at her neck as he pushes the fabric of her dress up to her waist.
she gasps in pleasure when he yanks down her panties and puts his mouth up against her. her hand finds his hair as he starts to lap at her, treating her like he’s been craving her taste all day, and honestly, he has been.
her legs are spread as wide as they can go so he can kiss and lick and suck every inch of her. the sounds of her soft moans, of his mouth against how wet she is, are so fucking good that his cock is aching at this point.
they meet eyes as he sucks her clit, his nose pressed up against her, and she looks like she’s living in pure bliss and disbelief, her chest stuttering with her hard breaths.
he pulls back with a smack of his lips, his face wet from her, staring at her as he runs his fingers up and down her middle, slowly dipping a finger inside her.
“how’s that feel, hmm?” he says.
“so good,” she whispers, bucking her hips up against his hand. “so fucking good.”
he adds a finger, stretching her out slowly. she breathes out shakily, pushing up against him.
rafe can’t wait any longer. he pulls his clothes off as fast as he can and stands over her, palming himself as she sits up to take everything off.
their clothes are bunched up at the end of his bed as he lowers over her, holding his cock at its base, nudging against her entrance as he presses his open mouth on hers.
she hugs him with her arms and her legs, capturing his big body over hers, feeling like she’s aching for it.
“i get so hard for you that it hurts, you know that?” he says roughly. she melts beneath him when he sinks into her, hard against soft, and squeezes around him even tighter.
this is different, they can both feel it, but different good because there’s nothing unsaid between them anymore, no walls up blocking them from sharing an intimacy they held for each other but didn’t allow themselves to feel.
he fills her with a deep, tight pressure over and over as he rocks into her back and forth, still wrapped in her limbs, their temples pressed together.
“you always take it so fucking good,” he pants against her ear. “my good girl.”
she plants a slow kiss on his cheek as his words wash over her. he always praised her before, but never called her his girl. he has a more intense claim of ownership over her than she realized.
“keep talking,” she whispers, earning a smirk from him.
“you like it when i tell you how tight you are?” he groans. “squeezing me so fucking good.”
“mhm,” she mumbles, blissed out. her hands drag up his back, her nails running over his bare skin, holding back how hard she wants to grip him as he keeps thrusting rough and slow.
“go ahead,” rafe whispers. “scratch me up. i’m yours, baby. you fucking own me.”
his words send her over the edge, her nails digging into his skin, moving with his thrusts, running over his shoulders.
the sting hurts him in the best way. he holds her head in his hands to keep her steady, pulling back just a bit to lock eyes with her again.
he stares at her, in complete awe that he feels this good, that he found home in a person and that she found it in him, too.
“i’m yours, too,” she whimpers. “i always was.”
he kisses her hard. his thrusts start to get less rhythmic as he feels his body dissolving into an orgasm, starting to softly tremble as he puts all his weight on her.
the friction of him against her, the heaviness of him, the taste of him, the hardness of his body as she squeezes her limbs around him, makes her body go numb before she reaches a hard, mind-blowing peak, a tangle of yes’s spilling out of her mouth.
rafe doesn’t have the energy to get up right away as they start to tumble down from their orgasms. their chests are heaving, heads swimming with pleasure.
he gives her countless soft, lazy kisses before he stands, leaving the room to get her a towel. she’s in a daze as he cleans her up.
rafe wraps his arms around her once he lies down next to her, her nose in the crook of his neck, breathing in his scent as they lay tangled, naked together.
“that was…” she breathes. “the best we’ve ever done.”
“yeah,” he half-chuckles. they’ve hooked up so many times, in so many positions, and in so many places, even in her college library, but nothing beats the thrill of what just happened.
because it was an entirely new level. and there’s no coming back down.
“what i left marks?” she says, tracing her finger over his shoulder. the realization hits her. “oh my god. what if people can see while you’re playing?”
rafe huffs a self-assured breath, imagining the scratches she left on him, red lines running over his skin and underneath his jersey on the court.
“good,” he says simply. because then they’ll know he’s taken. and the girl standing court-side cheering for the other team will know it best.

What if there is a new guy on Rafes team and he flirts with her on the court because he doesnt know that she is sleeping with Rafe.
omg YESSS rafe being jealous and claiming her even though they’re not even official 🤭
based on this fic! 18+!
when rafe’s coach told the team about the new transfer coming from state, he was impressed.
lucas semme is a pretty well-known player in college ball. rafe figured that he’d be a good addition to the team. he might even increase their chances of winning this year’s championship.
he has no problem with the new guy. until he does.
the first game lucas plays, they’re deep into the second quarter against the hawks when rafe notices it. the opposing team’s coach calls a time-out and rafe looks back at his guys to form a huddle. then he sees lucas looking over at the cheerleaders.
she’s laughing at something one of her friends just said and rafe notices lucas smiling as he looks at her. he sees red when lucas steps closer to the edge of the court, sparking a conversation with her.
“let’s go!” rafe shouts loudly. lucas’s eyes widen when he realizes his new captain is yelling directly at him.
the guys form a huddle on their side of the court and rafe immediately lays into the new guy.
“what the hell are you doing?” rafe mutters to lucas. “don’t talk to their cheerleaders.”
“sorry,” lucas says. “i didn’t know the rivalry was that serious.”
“it’s not about that,” one of the other players says in a low tone.
rafe shoots him a hard look and he laughs nervously. rafe talks game for the next minute, pointing out the opponents’ weaknesses, before the game resumes.
when they break, rafe overhears lucas get the rundown.
“just don’t talk to that cheerleader if you don’t want cameron to go ballistic,” he says.
rafe is glad they know what’s his. even though his relationship with her is strictly physical, she’s off limits to the guys on his team.
he can mess around with whoever he wants and so can she, but he tries not to think about the latter too much. and he doesn’t want any of his teammates to lay a damn finger on her.
after the game, rafe comes over to her dorm, his hair still wet from his shower.
“that was a good game,” she says when he enters her room. “what do you think of the new guy?”
“nothing special,” rafe mutters.
he’s usually passionate in bed, but it still takes her aback how aggressively and impatiently he starts to strip her clothes off. they’ve barely exchanged two sentences.
“someone’s eager,” she breathes as he tips his head to kiss her neck, her body going hot.
he almost wants to ask if she’s seeing any other guys. but ignorance is bliss in this case.
“put that skirt on,” rafe mutters against her skin, his hands dragging up her back.
“what?” she laughs.
“put it on.”
she lets him tell her what to do, slipping on her cheerleading skirt and wearing nothing else. he lays her down on her bed, hovering over her, his fingers in the fabric of the pleats of her skirt as it rests on her hips.
rafe is sure the new guy isn’t the only one who likes her, who imagines her naked. he bets his whole team would love a shot with her.
but as he pushes into her, both of them gasp in pleasure as soon as they meet, and he’s high on the feeling that only he gets her like this.
moments like these, he wants to tell her that she’s his, but he knows she’s not, so he only thinks it.

can we please have sleeping with the enemy rafe finally announcing to his friends (and max) that they’re dating now!! 😓😓 (ps. i LOVE your fanfics🤞)
thank you sm, love!! yes yes definitely 🥰 i had to make it super fluffy i had no choice
based on this fic, continuation of this blurb
after they eat a late lunch at an off-campus restaurant, rafe is relieved that she doesn’t ask him to drive her back to her dorm. now that they’ve put it into words, this mutual understanding that their friendship had at some point become much more, he hates the idea of being apart from her.
and once he realizes that, he also realizes he’s gone soft. because he used to never think stuff like that, like it would actually physically hurt to be away from somebody. but she’s the only one he thinks like this about. and now, he figures he can say this stuff out loud.
“you’re my favorite person to hang out with,” rafe says, his thumb tapping over the steering wheel once he starts up the car.
he cringes at himself. it still feels weird saying shit like that. they usually just crack jokes and tease each other. but when he looks over at her, at how bright her smile is, he knows he’s going to keep saying stuff like that until it feels normal, because it’s worth it if she’s going look at him like that.
he suggests they hang out at the house and she happily agrees. they’re curled up on the couch and while they used to always subconsciously be touching in some way, their contact is much more intentional now.
rafe has his arm around her as they sit together. her knees are drawn up to her chest. the sports channel is always on at the house. on the screen is an nfl player sitting behind a microphone at a post-game press conference.
“you’re gonna hate that,” she says. “the interviews.”
his body always buzzes when she talks like that, like him going pro is inevitable. he’s confident in his skills, but not nearly as sure as her that he’ll make it to the nba.
“you think?” he mumbles, playing along.
“yeah, because you have to be media trained and it will not take,” she teases. “like, imagine you were interviewed about yesterday’s game.”
he squints his eyes, indulging her, thinking back to the win his team secured.
“a reporter asks you what you thought of the other team’s offensive approach,” she says. “what would you say?”
“they played like little bitches.”
“see?” she says with a laugh. “you’d lose all your brand deals in a second.”
“you think i’ll get brand deals?”
“mhm. and lots of girls,” she adds.
“already used to that.”
she slaps his chest.
“i’m breaking up with you,” she jokes.
“so, you finally admit it,” a voice from the top of the stairs says. they look up to see one of the other four basketball players living in the house coming down the steps.
“what do you mean?” she laughs.
“that there’s a relationship to break up,” liam clarifies. “you’re not just friends.”
rafe sighs. liam is one of his friends who never stops fucking with him about how married he is to her. rafe has told him time and time again that they’re just friends.
“yeah, we’re not,” he answers.
“you’re not what?” liam says.
“just friends.”
liam just looks at the two of them as they sit on the couch, blinking slowly.
“wait, for real?” his teammate asks.
“yeah,” rafe nods.
“you’re not denying it?”
“no.”
“i don’t know what to do.” liam scratches his head. “i’ve never gotten this far. uh… finally? congratulations?”
“thanks,” she chimes in.
he looks at them for another few seconds.
“this isn’t a joke?” liam says.
“no,” she answers.
“wow,” he says. “what took so long?”
“you can leave now,” rafe tells him.
“cool.”
she laughs as liam turns and heads down the hallway. the conversation goes about the same way with every other housemate as the news spreads.
eventually, she dozes off in front of the tv. she’s curled up in a ball, her hand wrapped around his bicep, her cheek on his shoulder. he can’t help but take a photo from his vantage point.
when she wakes up, she tells him she should go home. he drives her to her dorm. on the way, she’s scrolling on her phone and sees he posted a story. he hardly ever posts anything.
it’s a photo of her taken just over her head, her eyes closed, lashes resting over her cheeks, hand wrapped around rafe’s arm. it’s a sweet, almost intimate photo.
“wow,” she teases. “you’re going to hard launch me just like that?”
“sure. whatever the fuck that means.”
she laughs.
“you know, guys tend to unknowingly post the worst pictures of their girlfriends,” she tells him. “but this really isn’t that bad.”
“no shit,” he says.
“what, it can’t be bad if you took it?” she guesses, rolling her eyes.
“it can’t be bad ‘cause it’s you.”
she glances over at rafe, watching the passing street lights glowing over his handsome face. is this the kind of stuff he’s been thinking and never saying out loud? they were always honest with each other, but she gets why he wouldn’t say things like that if he thought them. it’s so far from friend territory.
she’s determined to do the same thing. to go back to saying everything on her mind to him, instead of stopping herself from sharing her affectionate thoughts like she’s gotten used to doing.
they share a long kiss before she gets out of the car. when she makes it to her room, she reposts the photo on her story, his account clearly linked. just so there’s no confusion and simply because she’s so giddy, she captions it: boyfriends can take good pics sometimes?
it reminds her of the first night they hooked up and she posted a photo of him shirtless in her room.
eventually, everyone on her squad and every basketball player on the team, including her ex-boyfriend, view the story. it’s crazy how part of the reason she and rafe even got together was for revenge over him. she was shattered when max broke things off, but he inadvertently pushed her towards her best friend.
now, there’s no way anyone can misconstrue things. rafe is her boyfriend. and she’s proud of it.
so, she keeps her promise to herself. she won’t miss any opportunity to tell rafe how much she likes him. she texts him: i’m so so so glad i met you
he replies: only three so’s?
she texts: +5 more so’s
he replies: better
then, her phone buzzes again with a text from him: me too baby. you really are my favorite person
