We're back for the... COOKING shenanigans.

Daisuke is the only person with a culinary degree, so it's not allowed to make fun of his experiments. Yes, they all are edible.

The Taichis also can cook. You know that if you watched Adv'99 for OG Taichi, and for reboot Taichi it's because kiddo probably knows stuff for camping at least!

Hiro definitely is allowed in the kitchen, because he can cook too. The kid was cooking for his dad and himself for a good chunk of years, do you want me to believe he's a bad cook!? No? then, you got the gist.

Takato is also allowed in the kitchen. He grew up in a bakery, we saw him baking stuff. I dare you to say he cannot at least bake cakes and bread for the gang.

Tagiru can also cook, c'mon. He's shown cooking okonomiyaki for himself and Pagumon -- I suppose he's able to cook meals for himself when he's alone at home.

Kudou Taiki can cook because he's a good learner and therefore there's nothing Taiki couldn't learn. So I don't need to explain why.

MASARU OBVIOUSLY CAN COOK. He's Daimon Sayuri's son and she probably taught him to cook. He probably helped her at home to prepare the meals. I take no criticism here.

Haru can cook. Headcanon time, but yeah. I'm pretty sure Haru is able to cook! He probably read a ton of cooking books before.

Takuya is not allowed in the kitchen. He's only allowed to cook meals or stuff under supervision of someone.

"How about Rui?"

Yes, he can. Or else why would the heckie the staff make a collab with Karatez featuring the 02 group + Rui in a coffee shop setting!? And they put him as a patissier instead. Which means yes, Ohwada Rui can cook and is allowed in the kitchen.

Great Ace Attorney Takarazuka Casting Update

because of course you can trust me to update you on this!

We got a little more information today about the casting choices for the new Takarazuka adaptation of The Great Ace Attorney, which I posted about previously. This is going to be a less formal update post, I'm just gonna give a summary of what I've found out so far. Links will be either to the official Takarazuka page or to Takawiki, which is an online wiki of Takarazuka info, where I'm getting most of my information.

In summary: this update revealed the cast for Ryunosuke Naruhodo (or at least confirmed it), Susato Mikotoba, and Herlock Sholmes, as well as all the other actresses who will play as-of-yet unidentified roles.

The previous information on the play said that the lead role (who is now confirmed to be Ryunosuke, though we could have assumed as much) is being played by Rukaze Hikaru. She's had one previous lead role in a regular musical, and four "shinjin kouen" lead roles, which are to my understanding special performances of a regular musical for the more junior performers in the troupe. She has been in the Cosmos Troupe since 2012, though unfortunately was not in the cast for the third AA musical.

Susato Mikotoba has been confirmed to be the lead female role, played by Yamabuki Hibari. She has been in this troupe since 2019, and has had two lead female roles in shinjin kouen performances, but this is her first lead role in a regular musical. Of particular interest for this topic, one of her junior leads was as Irene Adler in the Sherlock Holmes play this same troupe put on in 2021.

It feels relevant to note here that in all the previous AA musicals, the lead female role was occupied by an original character who ended up being the love interest - Leona, Lucia, Alison. The lack of an original character in this role suggests to me that this musical won't be pulling that. It does, however, suggest the possibility that Susato could be considered the love interest in this play -- though we do not have any confirmation of that, and having this role doesn't inherently mean she will be, and I sure am hoping that won't turn out to be the case!

The last casting decision is for the role of Herlock Sholmes/Sherlock Holmes, played by Takato Chiaki. From what I can tell from other plays, the secondary male role seems to usually be a deuteragonist or antagonist -- in the other AA musicals, this was the role occupied by Edgeworths (Miles in the first two, Gregory in the third.) This fits with information we had previously that Sholmes would likely fit in this position. If they continue the same opening song they had from the original three, Sholmes is the one singing about counting his falling tears. Anyways, Takato Chiaki has had one lead role in the past and two junior lead roles, and graduated at the top of her class in 2015.

The other roles haven't been decided yet, though I can find the list of other actresses who will be appearing in this play. Of note is Akina Rui, the only one to have been in a previous AA musical, with an unnamed role in the third one. Also of relevance is Natori Rei, who is a senior actress who has been performing since 1971! As far as I can tell she's part of the "Senka" troupe which consists of senior members that specialize in certain things and can join performances from any troupe as necessary. (Nagina Ruumi, the actress for Larry Butz in the third musical, is also in Senka, but won't be coming in for this one.) Natori Rei apparently specializes in Japanese dance, and typically plays male roles, so it'll be interesting to see what role she plays in this musical.

And not a casting decision, just something odd I noticed -- this troupe seems to have overlapping performances, with the other one being a small performance of Xcalibur, which wouldn't be odd on its own except that this performance is where the troupe's new top star is debuting. I don't know what that's about I don't follow takarazuka stuff outside of this, I just thought that was interesting. So this performance will only have half the cosmos troupe in it.

I will update again whenever full casting decisions are released and/or we get an official poster and/or if more plot information comes out. With what we have here it isn't enough to draw any conclusions about what the plot will be like, since the three characters mentioned were already in the summary, except that we can be pretty sure we don't have Victorian Era Leona. Though that might come at a cost :/

Hello, this is a pinned post about Ni.

I’m an amateur freelancer artist (she/her & they/them; 20↑; Ace; Brazilian), mostly fanartist than original content creator. I like digimon, tokusatsu and sonic. But my main hyperfixated thing to draw is digimon (02/Kizuna/02TB) at the moment.

This blog I also shares stuff from friends because i want people to check it out their cool stuff!! But my main focus here is archiving my own art (stylized icons, doodles, fanfiction, headcanon-theory-metas)

I do have OCs like any other artist! Also fan-made digi species. I’m not good at doodling toku suits so this is why you might not find many doodles of those here, sorry.

who's the best digimon babysitter (or just babysitter in general) of the heroes?

i feel like there is one certain individual who would be also low on this list

Those thinking Masaru, Daisuke and Takuya would be at this... Nope. They aren't bad at this.

(especially LXW AU Daisuke, because the main focus of that AU is just him being Tagiru's babysit-- I mean, mentor.)

So everyone is just pointing fingers at each other about "who's the one to be BAD at this job" and...

No, really. Takuya might be the epitome of chaos and disorder, but he's at least GOOD at babysitting. He was the one to take care of Tomoki pretty well compared to the rest of the Frontier group (yeah, sorry folks.)

Masaru is a good brother and had been helping to raise Chika in the place of their father, he helped his mom at home and possibly helped Chika against bullies. He's an excellent brother and i take no criticism.

Daisuke might look like the best candidate for the lowest rank (lol), but he's pretty good with digimon babies. He has a soft side, and he had been raising Chibimon/V-mon since he was 10-11 years old. Besides the ep that makes me keep pinning him as the "mentor" role is episode 24, in which Miyako leaves him to take care of the baby digimon while they keep the repairs in that town (and because he couldn't evolve V-mon because of Arukenimon being around and when she's around she can activate the Dark Towers.)

Taiki is a quick learner and there's nothing Kudou Taiki cannot do. I know this makes people hate Taiki, but that's also his flaw as well (in the sense that he will learn everything and this might make others take advantage of his abilities)

The Taichis are excellent brothers to their Hikaris, so I don't want to think they're BAD at it.

And Hiro is also a good big bro. Those who watched GG knows it very well. The MVP of babysitting.

With those ones left... we only have Takato, Haru and Tagiru.

As much i love those three, they don't seem to be adequate for the job. Honestly, Takato is a nice kid but he had trouble training and raising Guilmon at first as i remember correctly? Anyway, he struggled hard with it. I'd not put him at the LOWEST rank, because... yeah.

Haru and Tagiru are not that bad in my opinion, they're just two types of "not a good option", but I do admit they're like Takato for me, so there's also NOT RANKING LOW??

So Takato, Haru and Tagiru might not be the best option BUT uh, in the absence of the other options, you can count with them.

BUT THE ONE WHO IS REALLY BAD AT THIS...

It's... Rui-kun.

Sorry folks. I think he will take a while to finally get into babysitting and raising a digimon or taking care of a child. He's soft and gentle, but he's definitely not experienced and there's the problem that he's non-confrontational and too chill for a job that requires to also be able to tell kids to NOT do something dumb and yeah. He needs to learn with his boyfriend Daisuke & the others first.

No one asked, but I feel like writing out why I dislike Devilman Grimoire. There’s a lot of things that contribute to it, but there’s one thing that really summarizes it imo.

In the best of Nagai’s stuff the character writing is very genuine and human. Usually it’s really the thing that elevates his stuff beyond the gore and titty they tend to be remembered for. It’s not perfect obviously and a lot of it is pretty dated, but it’s what makes his work so good to read even today.

Rui’s writing, by contrast just tries to emulate that, out of it being an expected part of the series, but it feels entirely hollow. Not to mention awfully generic.

Nagai, for all his horniness, writes with his heart first and foremost. Rui only ever writes with his dick. And that might be fine when you are making a moronic low rent pseudoporno comics, like Rui is nowdays, but it feels pretty fucking reductive in Devilman’s case.

Still damn good art though.
