TALES OF ASPENCLAN MOON 0

Chaffinchleg took his apprentice, Fishpaw out for a training exercise.  Chaffinchleg helps Fishpaw gain confidence in working with others. 

Deputy Pounceback went on patrol with Starlingblink and his apprentice Sneezepaw.  Sneezepaw manages to catch a mouse, but not before embarrassing himself by squeaking in surprise as he pounced on it. 

Poolstar went on a patrol by himself. Nothing of note happened. Shortheart, the medic, and Boughbrook, a warrior, went on an herb gathering patrol. Nothing of note happened.

to start, I maybe kinda tweaked the template to include more kitties bc they're all so pretty and handsome and cool that I didn't wanna miss out (also my friend who runs Roseclan was one of the later entries and I love Thistleglide am that I really wanted to include him <3 so heartbroken that he was captured by twolegs)

I did some snooping on most of the blogs to find more info about each character and see if I could incorporate that :3 hope I did good!

I know I said only one kitty per blog, but I love Nettleclans tale and am really happy angie snagged the first spot so they both got in. (and also a surprise Redflower bc how could I draw Spiderstar without her). Also I haven't drawn Turtlekit yet and she needs a W so she's being absolutely bamboozled by Redflower lol

Don't have much to say about Berrymoss and Stemstar but I tried to add in Berrymoss's dark forest affiliation with the black goop and I'm not sure about Stemstar's design since I didn't know what colors went where so I hope I did him somewhat justice.

Aphidburrow is doing puppy-dog eyes bc why not, also tried to match her shapes but idk how I did 😬 hope it's still good

Willowstar is literally so cute and I knew I wanted to show off that snaggletooth

Since Hawksight was bloodthirsty I figured I'd give him a little battle action while also being snarky

Couldn't find much on Flipwind or Howlclaw but they both gave me certain vibes, y'know?

and Thistleglide, the poor baby <3 please tell me he finds his way home, he deserves it. Not sure I got his design 100% correct because it is very intricate, but I hope I got it close!

This story picks up in the aftermath of a devastating fire that ravaged the land that the clans called home, driving some to even flee their homes in hopes of surviving. CanyonClan is a mysterious and secretive clan, hidden deep within the canyons. Having started the war against AspenClan with their former tyrannical leader Sandstar, CanyonClan has recovered well from the war. When warriors within the clan overthrew Sandstar, they executed him and changed their leader's suffixes to further distance themselves from their shameful, blood-soaked past. Now, with a new leader they aim to live as they always have - distant from the other clans. CanyonClan cats may be seen patrolling the borders, but other patrols might not receive more than a cool glance in their direction. Their territory is a labyrinth, and any cat unfamiliar with the canyons will get hopelessly lost. CanyonClan culture is sacred and ancient - they immerse themselves in stories and legends, and paint their histories on the wall with carefully crafted paints. Elders are seen as cats to be revered, and old cats who have retired may spend their days recounting tales and giving consultation to the leader and deputy.

Common looks for CanyonClan cats include dark, solid or colour-pointed shades, short fur, sleek and slender bodies with long legs and large ears to help traverse the canyons, and little to no white spotting.

TALES OF ASPENCLAN MOON 1

So, I was gonna post this tomorrow but I had all my drawings ready so.... Sneezepaw came out as non-binary, and while on a hunt with their mentor caught a bird.

Boughbrook has developed a small crush on Poolstar, this same moon they practiced some sparring together.

Chaffinchleg, Fishpaw and Pounceback went on patrol today and found a cat who had medicinal knowledge. The cat heard about the clan and decided to not join. 

Shortheart collected some moss, I have sadly now drawn this.

TALES OF ASPENCLAN MOON 3

 A new cat joined, a wise tom of 43 moons named Warmpelt joined our clan.

Starlingblink brought in a young kit named Locustkit in the clan, claiming to be father but refusing to talk about her orgins. Locustkit is a charming molly. 

Sneezepaw earned their warrior name, Sneezefrost! Later they and Starlingblink fought a fox over a deer carcass. 

-Later, Poolstar and Boughbrook were on patrol, but Boughbrook collapsed of heatstroke and Poolstar dragged her back to camp. (I tried to draw it but I had toruble and I had to make it all in one day) -Fishpaw confessed to having a vision from StarClan while on an herb gathering patrol with Shortheart.

TALES OF ASPENCLAN: Moon 2

Not much happened today to be honest. Except for a few things.  Shortheart went on a patrol searching for herbs and found a queen named Beanpool, who was struggling with kitting. Thanks to Shortheart’s help she and her single kit, a little tom named she named Pigeonkit, survived.  She then joined the clan with her kit.

Later Poolstar, Sneezepaw and Starlingblink encounter a wolf feeding on a carcass.

Next time I have a slow day like this on Clangen I’ll talk about character  relationships. And yeah, sorry for the slowness and not super pretty art I felt a bit demotivated for a while.

As time goes on we will watch their story unfold. I kind of gave up with the last bunch of cats. 

I will only draw events I feel are important, writing everything else down.
