Honestly if Taniks didn't hate our guts so fucking much, I feel like he would make a pretty strong ally against the Witness. Bloodthirsty mercenary he may be, but he does seem to care about the Eliksni rising back to greatness and held deep respect for Eramis, so I bet he would have been enraged at her mistreatment + I doubt he would have been on board with the whole 'Final Shape' idea. The end of suffering = the end of fun and he's bound and determined to survive at all costs, ain't no way he's bowing down to some misty fuck who says otherwise
