In a perfect world we don't restrict ourselves to just one discipline and feel like we need to excuse-explain when our creativity transcends these man-made barriers. In a perfect world we just vibe off of eachother; if we happen to find common ground that's perfect, if we don't that's cool too. This is exactly what happened...

Bumped into this young man bout 2 months or so back; it was his first week atcolette Paris and we just talked, didn't get into things like that just good vibes all the way thru. I was really feeling his style and immediately wanted to shoot but obviously couldn't since he was at work. This world famous concept store is pretty close to mines so everytime I put boots on the Parisian ground I usually come thru real quick and talk it up with some of the good peoples working there. Every time we chopped it up we discovered some more till a few weeks back when the man dropped this new businesscard on me. There's some of his sick Illustration work on it which immediately had my mind on two things. For some reason this particular piece had me thinking bout Carnage from the Marvel episodes but the other thing that caught me big time was the amount of detailing that went into this; there's so many minimal pen strokes and that took me on the 2nd thing which is the work of the late, great Moebius.

Now finally by stroke of luck I been able to meet up with this gentleman outside of working hours so I got to shoot and can now get his story up.

Meet Rey. As said, multiple disciplines but as far as I know it all started with skateboarding. Skateboarding and love for Illustrations led to teaming up with a friend and starting an Illustration- and Graphic Design team based outta Paris. Under the name MMav this team has put fingerprints on various projects with Brands like The Kooples, Supra Footwear and one of my favs; Bleu de Paname

That's not all. Paper ain't dead so these gentlemen bring out an actual printed Magazine called Journal De Bord that showcases everything that grabs their attention; interviews with people from different disciplines, photo-travel reports, collectables and more.We're still not done... They do vids too... You know what? Just make sure you follow these guys, there's a lot to see, learn and enjoy thru their eyes.

As for Rey; the Skateboarding was omnipresent this day; almost fully decked out in his absolute fav Brand, Supreme Tee, khaki loose fit roll up pants and denim jacket, all by Supreme.The shoes are a Bapesta x Converse collab and that great burgundy hat is by Tantum Los Angeles Good vibes are models' own.
