Included in the CNPS Inventory of Rare and Endangered Plants on list 1B.1 (rare, threatened, or endangered in CA and elsewhere). It is also listed by the State of California as Threatened and by the Federal Government as ‘Threatened ’. Known from just two locations near Laguna Beach in Orange County. It is also threatened in Baja California, where a bit more than twenty locations are known. Photographed at Regional Parks Botanic Garden located in Tilden Regional Park near Berkeley, CA.
