Taylor Swift- self titled 2006

First off, I just want to say that I find it ridiculously impressive that T understood her feelings at this level when we were 15/16 years old. (we are the same age) Not only did she understand her feelings she was able to communicate them into works of art. I identify with this album in probably very different ways from how she intended when she wrote it, as we were extremely different people.

1. Tim McGraw-reminds me of a guy I dated in high school. It was a fairly short relationship, just one summer, but it was deep...at least for one of us. He always talked about how beautiful my eyes were (blue just like Ms. Swift) and the ending was really rough, and took a while to deal with. After the break up he told me that I was the reason he started listening to Taylor Swift and even bought this album (ha! look at the irony) FUN FACT: Tim McGraw was my first song on my MYSPACE ever back in the day (RIP)

2. Picture to Burn-is just one of those songs that get you AMPED up, you're ready to put that selfish jerk in the past. I give her major props for also understanding the baseline of a narcissist who likes to gaslight people as well. (Go tell your friends I'm crazy...but why am I crazy? hmmm)

3. Teardrops On My Guitar-this song was a masterpeice of its time. the lyrics, the music video, that green dress! ugh! I could abolsutely relate to liking the boy who was with another girl, but you wanted them.

4. A Place In This World-*deep sigh* this song reminds me of elementary school. When I was in fourth grade I switched from private school to public school and it was a rough transition. I didn't really make any friends, and I was awkward and didn't know how to fit in better which then made me anxious (which I did not realize at the time, nor did my family) and my version of anxious was getting mean because I was so upset, which in turn also made it harder to make friends. This was a cycle that continued basically until 8th or 9th grade and let me tell you 4th to 8th grade is a very long time to feel like you don't have a comfortable place.

5. Cold As You-reminds me of the same person as # 1. He is a military guy and therefore was 'taught' to be very closed off about particular things, but he took it into overdrive and was closed off about most things. The issue is that I tried to be an open book and so he took my best and I got nothing from it, because he had walls built so high up. He was extremely hard to get any answers from about how he felt and it just wasn't a fair relationship. I hope he does better now.

6. The Outside- this one hits me the same was as APITW since I was on the outside and never really did know what would help me fit in.

7. Tied Together with a Smile- the first verse of this song reminds me of a family member and how I know they struggle with how they feel about themself and I hope deep down somewhere they see what an amazing, smart, beautiful human being they are.

8. Stay Beautiful- this song actually breaks my heart. It's such a pretty and more light sounding song but it reminds me of a long time friend who passed away in a car accident when I was 15 or 16 years old. This kid had the nicest smile and the most positive outlook it was contagious, you couldn't be in a bad mood around him. I really think he would have been someone great if his life hadn't been cut short.

9. Should've Said No- this one reminds me of an ex friend who went after my ex boyfriend secretly a short time after we broke up. I hope he was worth it.

10. Mary's Song (oh, my, my, my)-this song brings me back to my first grade best friend, oh my goodness. He was the sweetest kid (he is still a sweet guy now actually) and we did everything together, we went on trips with our parents, we loved pokemon and magic together and we got fake married in the school yard and it wasnt just our parents who joked about us falling in love it was everyone who ever met us.

11. Our Song- this song reminds me of a particular boy I met when I was at my aunts house he was so handsome and so sweet. My aunt didn't like him though so there was some sneaking around involved. Mmmm I loved that boy, to the best my teenage brain could handle. We would go for walks together, stay on the phone late at night....but come to think of it, I don't think we ever had a song?

Taylor Swift-Fearless 2008

1.Fearless- this song reminds me of my high school best friend, not even in a romantic way. I loved that girl for sure but it wasn't like that...but she made me feel fearless. it was one of the few friendships that made me feel like I could acomplish anything. It was a rare feeling growing up.

2.Fifteen- When you're fifteen you really do think you know everything. The older boys really do make an impression, you usually do believe them when they tell you all these great things, and they really do just leave you for nothing when they're done. That is called a fuckboy and the halls are filled with them.

3.Love Story- This reminds me of my senior year when my friends and I went to a teen night at a grungy as club where I met this guy, but it was that moment of oh my gosh you're beautiful where have you been all my life (which faded oh so quickly) this was probably in March, and we broke up before my prom, which he still took me to (therefore also making me think of ballgowns.)

4.Hey Stephen- that boy who died in the car crash I talked about before's name was steven, and was just a little ray of sunshine for me, so this easily makes me think of him.

5.White Horse- the summer right after high school I had my first job at this go kart place and there was this guy who was a couple years older than me who showed interest. I was thrilled and we ended up having a thing for a while, but he was very secretive...because he had a girlfriend. and I was told about this several times and he kept insisting that was over and he just wanted to take it slow with me because I was young. there was a point at the end where he told me I was naive and at the time I didn't think I was but....clearly.

6.You Belong With Me-reminds me of a friend who i had a heels over head crush on who was always dating 'someone' it wasnt always a cheerleader or the popular girl but it was always someone very different than me. But I was always the one he would talk to about things, even still now he talks to me about the women/woman in his life except now I don't want him like that.

7.Breathe- reminds me of someone I never should have dated. I think we both knew that too. but "people are people and sometimes it doesn't work out" he had a cool cat though.

8.Tell Me Why- there is a reason the name richard is shortened to dick.

9.You're Not Sorry-reminds me of the same guy as white horse, there was a lot of apologies about him doing ridiculous and stupid things and the lies and I believed him way longer than I should have. Three cheers for naivity.

10.The Way I Loved You-reminds me of this jackass that i fought with constantly because in high school apparently you think this is normal and that you guys aren't verbally abusing each other your entire relationship and that it's actually just because you are soOo in love for those three months of back and forth torment and fighting and tears.

11.Forever and Always(both versions)- we dated about two years and eventually it ended on a phone call after a month or so of him barely speaking to me. he was actually busy with work and I do believe that but I also think he was scared. And then he married a girl with the same name as me.

12.The Best Day- reminds me of back when my dad actually liked me. he was my best friend and I was absolutely his little girl. however my story didn't go on like the queen Taylor's and my relationship with my dad since then has been rocky at best.

13.Change- reminds me of that young mindstate of thinking you can take on the world. now its more of lets see what parts of my world can i create change in, since i am only one person. p.s. go vote.
