so, this is a tournament in which we will find out what is tumblr's favorite taylor swift lyric!

everyone can submit the lyric that they believe is her best one

this is a winner-moves-to-the-next-round kind of tournament, if a lyric loses it's poll, then it's out of the competition

i know that there are some fan favorites, and i'm not against submitting them, but i ask you to think about all her lyrics for a moment, and actually choose the one that you think is the best one, because if you all just submit "she would've made such a lovely bride, what a shame she is fucked in the head" then the tournament won't happend because there won't be enough contestants

there are some limits about how long the lyric should be! if you submit something that is shorter than one line or longer than three lines your submition will be ignored!

submit as many lyrics as you want to

if you want to submit propaganda, go on! there is a place for it in the google form, but if you forgot about it, you can always submit it in my asks, just make sure to tell me for which lyric is this propaganda

don't attack anyone because of their opinion, don't get mad if your favorite lyric gets voted out, it's just a tumblr poll

i don't currently know how many lyrics will actually compete in this competition because i have no idea how many submitions i will get

english isn't my first language so if i make any mistakes in spelling or grammar, i'm sorry

also, this is my first tournament, so there is a posibility that i'll make some mistakes - tell me about them and i will do everything in my power to fix that!

Welcome to the Taylor Swift Song Showdown!!!

I am conducting a competition to find Tumblr’s favorite Taylor Swift song. And yes, that means I spent half an hour going through her discography page on Wikipedia to find the track listings for literally all of her albums.

However, there are some parameters:

I used the deluxe version of her albums so we can include those extra songs (ex: The Lakes, It’s Time to Go, New Romantics)

No concert albums or EPs. These are all just her main albums to avoid repetition

I started working on this project before Taylor's 4 recent songs were released so they are not in this.

In Taylor’s original albums she would include demo recordings of her songs. I’m not including those, instead narrowing it down to studio versions (though it’s not exactly narrow, as we have 231 songs).

The biggest March Madness template that I could find has 64 teams. We obviously have more than 64 songs, so there will be 4 brackets. Then we will compare all of the winners of each bracket.

Each round will take a week so we can get a sufficient amount of data, so this is gonna take a while. Hope you stick around!
