Hey there, hope you're doing fine! I read about the power outage! Don't worry about the inactivity. Just glad you're doing fine! Still take care as much as you need to!

Before I leave though I wanna share something I came up with at work today:

Pokemon Themed food, specifically sweets.

They're like those Peeps but they're shaped like little Joltik. They look verrry cute! So cute and real looking that Emmet refuses to eat them.

I remembered Ener-Joltik today and Litwickies as well. And then I remembered a friend who used to send me those Peeps since they aren't available in my country. And tbh it would make a lot of sense if the Pokemon World would have something like that.

And imagine it for the snacktime au is interesting. It would definitely jog some memories for Ingo.

Peep joltiks?Those have to exist in the Pokémon world, and Emmet loves to buy them but he doesn’t even eat them (it might traumatize his actual joltik if they saw that haha). Ingo told Emmet to stop breeding and hoarding joltik? Fine, he’s going to start hoarding candy that LOOKS like joltik!

And thanks for remembering Ener-joltik and Litwickies!! Those were both fun concepts to talk about haha. Just like those two, I’m sure Emmet would want little packs of Tiks to be stocked in the battle subway’s vending machines too!

It would be interesting in the snacktime AU too! It seems people either absolutely love or hate peeps, so I wonder how Hisui would feel about it! Ingo would look at one and think “I’m not sure how or why but this stuff evokes a lot of memories of household fights” (from when he’d yell at Emmet for using the tiks as a workaround to his joltik hoarding haha)

Brb, going back through the emissary au tag because I have no idea what it is but it sounds awesome lol

first of all ;o; whwkwhjk you're too nice... i'm always like. a little weird abt sharing random character hcs especially if they're not really canon-supported/really self-indulgent (which this one is) bc i'm like... who even wants to hear this yanno

ok so like. this isn't necessarily emissary-specific or -related but the context of this is that i was talking abt the other unovan emissaries and feedback loops/mutually exclusive Beliefs right. and i thiiiink. emmet is (well, both of them are, tbh) really good at Not doing that.

more generally at not like, believing something without thinking about it. or at least not getting aggressive when those beliefs are pushed. this sort of wraps back into general unova hcs but i think they have a mutual love of like, philosophy and logic-puzzling things out, and are Really Passionate about it, but it's also tempered with mutual understanding/trust that means even when they Really Disagree it's never like, a fight. they heard the story of the original twins/their kids and were like "well that's stupid" and agreed to just learn from their example and never do that. it's never Them Versus Each Other and always Them Versus The Question. much like sparring in pokemon battles it's just another opportunity for them to hone their understanding.

this is to say they'll get into extremely heated discussions quite literally of the type that caused the original Unovan War and then five minutes later they're talking about dinner like it was nothing. because it was! (secondary side effect: anyone who innocently asks them abt the teleporter paradox or whatever will receive a five hour answer bc they've Thought About It)

...and then this comes in handy in emissary au bc there are actually very few things that can come up as paradoxes in emmet's Truth vs Ideals powers. bc most of his beliefs are mutable, actually. it's just a matter of getting enough evidence.

whiich is why it's unfortunate that there's that one pesky Glaring Snag wrt: his brother being missing

Imagine some crazed up pokemon obsessed scientists catch Emmet and Ingo in the way home one night. They dont want Ingo just want to do some tests to figure out how he works.

Taking Emmet hostage is the best course of action since theres no way they would agree to these kind of tests. Puts Ingo on the spot to accept to save his brother. Idk what kind of tests maybe some samples a claw or two. But for sure they want to battle.

True to their word they dont wanna just nab Ingo (that would get more serious searches for them out and what not) Ingo loses the battle pretty badly tbh he hasnt been a sneasel very long and they didnt really make it a fair fight. They planned on using Ingos injuries as a distraction to get away.

The question would be how much like a sneasel is Ingo? How far can modern pokemon medicine work on him. Im assuming his claws can grow back so long as they arent fully removed. Like how cats shed theirs. But is his biological make up close enough that potions and what not work on him? Or does he have to recover the old fashioned way.

This au doesnt have much in the way for baddies besides poachers early on and random battle subway jerks. But honestly i think so many organisations would want their hands on Ingo. Hes a rare pokemon now after all. But Emmet isnt to be taken lightly. Also since Ingo isnt actually a pokemon and that news gets made public i feel most baddies would back off. Its too much trouble then.
