If I had a nickel for everytime a musical's second act opened with Joey Richter addressing the audience and then shortly after running off the stage screaming crying I'd have two nickels. Which isn't much but it's weird that it happened twice.

A really funny thing about tcbob tho was when we were like "oh no Lauren's acting like she can't sing again" but then we got slapped in the face by James acting like he Cannot dance

the entirety of body language. that song is absolutely adorable, and it quickly solidified max and jean as some of my faves

kris making a newsies reference, and then saying that max probably wouldn't get it bc he's a jock, but max literally also made a newsies reference in the act 2 opener

max's whole verse in the title song ("i can see a slice of my new york life"), and jean very clearly Getting Into Said Verse. listen, i ship max and jean and i don't care who knows it, they're very cute.

just the way cole and bethanne's arc was resolved in general, it was very sweet and simple, and it worked with the tone of the show

kris being the one to tell off theo for trying to take advantage of alex while she's drunk and in a bad emotional state, when he was the one who was arguably the worst to her throughout the show. kris isn't my fave, but we love character growth on this blog.
