rick riordan let go of a story when it's done and don't get rid of all your characters' development for the sake of one more book challenge!!! (impossible)

also think it is deeply unrealistic that percy would go to new rome uni. first of all new rome is a dystopian hellscape that percy would not tolerate doubly so bc it’s by the actions of mortal adults that percy could body. second bc time and time again he has been shown to pick his mother. he returns to mortal school over and over however terrible his experiences bc he loves her and wants to live with her. and he has a younger sister now. he would go to mortal uni in new york. or community college. or he wouldn’t go to uni at all. but new rome? in california? a joke.

Now don't get me wrong, I loved The Chalice of the Gods (and spat on The Sun and the Star). TCoTG perfectly captured our Golden Trio and it was just really great. The Sun and the Star though outright disappointed me and made me so FREAKING MAD at the same time (don't get me wrong, I like Solangelo but it could have been so much better), but I'm not gonna go on that now.
What I am gonna say is that to me, Riordanverse canonically ended with Heroes of Olympus. I'm sorry, the later books just don't feel like they belong in the same universe. Magnus Chase is good, Kane Chronicles is amazing, Daughter of the Deep is a masterpiece, but the main CHB timeline ended for me after Blood of Olympus.

The Percy Jackson series is getting milked dry with all of these new book announcements. I feel a bit frustrated with it because I feel like the books are just going to go down in quality. Or something. Their are so many things he can write about with the Kane chronicles and magnus chase.
No fr I'm just so tired. Rick let it die. Learn how to end a story. Like at the very least stop filling empty space with a dozen new plot holes. Because the plotline of this book IS FILLED WITH PLOT HOLES.
But also, he's already admitted this was for marketing and taking advantage of the hype.
