Maizawa Fanfic Rec List

Hi everyone, I haven’t made a fanfic rec list in a while and I feel kind of bad for always reblogging my own shit (LMAO....) so here’s a list I compiled of some good stories that I think you should read. They definitely deserve more recognition because I enjoyed them very much. All of them are Maizawa since they’re the only pairing I’ve been reading lately.

Voiceless by showtime is a cute story where Mic loses his voice for a while and Aizawa ends up taking care of him. Mic’s characterization in this was absolutely adorable. 10/10 would read again to bask in his cuteness.

A Night at the Parrot Club by MintIceTea is a Maizawa one-shot that had me laughing out loud with their jokes. It’s a light-hearted story where Aizawa and Midnight try to get dirt on someone who’s involved with human trafficking and Mic gets involved at the last second. The little hints of jealousy were My Jam™.

Without You by ObscureReference is a NSFW one-shot that’s kind of angsty and implies time travelling. I’m a sucker for alternate timeline tropes so I really enjoyed the implied concept behind it.

Blast From the Past by ArtlessThief is a short little story where Aizawa and Mic open an old time capsule they buried away as kids. The memories they shared were very sweet and fluffy.

Begin Again by aizawashouta is a slightly NSFW story where Aizawa sorts out his feelings with his fuck buddy Mic. This writer’s writing style is very straight forward and easy to read and their story ideas are always interesting so you should give some of their other works a try too if you enjoyed this one.

Nesting by teamdgtl is an alpha/omega concept where Aizawa and Mic both find out their... scents (????) during high school. LMAO, I don’t necessarily care for this type of AU (or even understand it that well...), but the writer does a really good job with it. It’s a short series that isn’t complete and I think this one is the third part so you might want to start from the beginning.

A Terrible Nightmare by fecklessphilanderer is a story where Mic lives through a dream where Aizawa died from the USJ attack. He experiences the aftermath of the attack so when he wakes up from it, he needs Aizawa to comfort him. Angst and fluff, definitely my Thing™.

I’m Not Leaving You by Elillierose is a slightly gritty story where Aizawa gets his leg caught in a bear trap. There were parts of the story where I was thinking “don’t do it hoe” and when the Bad thing happens I just scream “WHAT DID I TELL YOU”. If you’re alright with mentions of blood, then I think this story is a very sweet one to read as well.

Coping (Badly) by huggabee is a story where Aizawa loses his hero license as  a consequence of Bakugou’s kidnapping. Mic has to help him through his depression so that he can work towards gaining back the trust of the media to continue his work as a hero. It’s a pretty angsty story, but it has a happy ending. :)
