Alma kept quiet on the matter of his sleep. He didn't want to admit to Odi that he had not slept well and had a nightmare. It wouldn't help either of them to discuss it. Right now they just needed to focus on getting back to the lab. Besides, he didn't want Odi to worry.
Once they were connected by the cord, Alma transferred energy over to the android. Despite Odi's insistence that he would be fine with 30%, Alma stayed connected to him until they were both around 50%, roughly. "That should get us back safe," he said, unplugging himself and Odi, then wrapping the wire up and slipping it into his pocket.
"We should be on our way." Moving into a crawling position, Alma started to head through the narrow entry point of bushes that made a tunnel into the clearing they'd spent the night in. He figured he should go first just in case anything happened. However, when he made it to the other side, the forest was empty of any humans in sight. He stood up straight, then offered a hand to help Odi do the same, assuming the android was behind him.
"If you are certain....." Odi frowned just a little at the avoidance measures Alma seemed to be taking. He would remember it to ask about later. Now was not the time.
Trying to push the topic would only expend more energy than they both should.
He carefully took the other end of the cord, plugging it into his own port. He movements were a bit slow, and not quite as smooth as they were when his battery was more full.
"I will be functional enough to move once I reach 30%." He said after he ran the calculations. The good thing was, Alma had made him much more energy efficient. It didn't take nearly as much power to move as he used to.

which greek gods are your parents?
Tumblr media
Zeus & Eurynome
Oh, sweet forgotten Charity! Your father was crowned king of the gods, and your mother a Titaness sworn to Olympus. A life of greatness stands before you dictated by strength, gentle certainty, and generosity. No man can tell you what realm you preside over, but look to themes of your sister Graces and the untouched lands as you grow into your power.

ooc: I haven’t been as active on my other blog, due to lack of threads over there, but if anyone like robots / androids, you can also find me @technxlogic. I’d love to get some more things going over there. I’m fairly flexible with AUs over there as well, and can fit them into most any universe.
I’d love more threads for: X-009, Jeff, and Dewey.

Arda registered the small nod from Saul, glad to see him cooperating. She knew the moment had been tense between him and Alma, but she would hate to see either of them get hurt because of conflict. Alma seemed distracted enough by her, so she tried to keep his attention while Saul got away, continuing with her lie about how Saul had come in for repairs on his own.
She hated lying to her brother, but it was important that Saul's identity and past weren't uncovered. She didn't want to worry Alma with the details of how she rescued Saul from a shooting and they were almost followed anyways. It would only upset him. She continued babbling to Alma until she was sure Saul was out of sight, then changed the subject, asking Alma about his current projects. He fell for it, and her job distracting him was complete.
Alma still wasn't sure he bought it. There was too much information missing and the android's unwillingness, or inability to give that information was concerning. He reached out to grab the android's arm, trying to stop it.
However, as soon as his fingers wrapped firmly around the android's arm, he heard Arda's voice from behind him.
"Alma! I see you met my new android friend. He came in for repairs so I could practice my medical expertise on androids more. I'm afraid some of his damage was too extensive for me to heal, but I did what I could. He is just on his way out to return to his home," Arda smiled wide at Alma, hoping to fool her brother into not asking any more questions.
She hated lying. But technically nothing she'd said was entirely untrue. Maybe stretching the truth a bit, and omitting some other truths... but it wasn't outright lying... right?
Alma frowned at her, and for a moment she was worried he wouldn't buy it. But then he released the android, giving it a suspicious once over before frowning and looking back to Arda. "It's communications programming might be damaged, but it will have to go to a software engineer to get that fixed. All you can repair is hardware."
Arda felt relieved and smiled, nodding at Alma. "Yes, I recommended a software engineer for that and a few other problems. He'll have to go to them to finish with repairs. Like I said, I did what I could. Now he must be on his way. Goodbye, sir!" Arda waved at Saul, silently urging him to leave before Alma asked any more questions.

Druig disliked physical violence. He always had; the mind and the tongue were his preferred weapons. Although he no longer considered himself a hero ( really, he never was one to begin with ), he rarely hesitated to intervene when in the presence of unnecessary brutality. Thus, when Druig caught sight of an individual being pushed around by three men just up ahead on the sidewalk, instinct took hold. As his own eyes briefly shifted to gold, so did those of the assailants before they turned and rammed straight into the brick wall behind them before falling to the pavement, knocked out cold. They’d wake up with nothing more than splitting headaches — probably, they had hit it a bit harder than they’d needed to. A faintly amused grin crept across his visage. However, the closer he drew to the one they had been bothering, Druig sensed that this guy wasn’t exactly what he appeared. “You’re not human.” Blunt, perhaps, but there it was.

starter for @technxlogic // Ralph
It was a total mystery how Luther and Alice managed to accumulate so much stuff whenever they visited New Jericho. Half of this stuff was things they didn’t even use. It got about a week’s worth of interest and then ended up on some shelf somewhere. She’d practically got a full wheelbarrow full of games and puzzles and who-knew-what-else.  Kara didn’t get tired, not really. She was designed to run around after children all day and all night. This wasn’t difficult, but something in her just wanted to stop and take in the park’s surroundings. It was pretty rare that she’d stop and just sit on a bench somewhere like this. Probably, a part of her would always feel the obligation to keep moving. Just in case. You could never be sure, unless you were in your own home.  It was nice, though. It seemed peaceful. Birds were chirping. Children were playing. People were walking hand in hand. It didn’t seem like a warzone, although, nowhere ever did, until it suddenly became one.  Alice would like to feed the birds. Maybe they could come down here after school one day.  She must have been subconsciously scanning her environment, because something definitely moved in that bush. She didn’t get up. Perhaps it was just a glitch. Instead, she looked at the area again. Just in case.

Kim and Hank: 10. What ways do you say ‘I love you’ without actually saying it?
Sinday asks || accepting
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“It depends on the situation, but... A kiss, perhaps. A look can also bring across words - sometimes even better than words themselves can. A squeeze to my partner’s arm, hand, shoulder... something like that. ...Showing that I care about them.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“---Tenderness in general. ... And kissing, but not only on the lips.”
Kim thinks for a moment, getting lost in his own trail of thought before blinking himself back into the moment.
“... I like placing soft kisses along my partner’s forehead and closed eyelids while holding their face between my hands. Only then I will kiss their lips, and I will take my time doing so. ---It usually causes a lot of emotions to be set free.”

starter for Ralph for @technxlogic | plotted!
They’d come to him.
Markus’ office door was always open when he was in. The small group of New Jericho residents had come hear less officially, then individually concerned. Erin, one of their coordinators of housing, was among them. Markus could feel the way the others shifted, uncomfortable. Erin kept his eyes and talked the most, carefully choosing her words,
“He-... lashes out.” She said, the way she opened her hands an admittance that she saw no gentler way to put it, “There was an incident with another resident-”
“It was resolved.” The man who offered this had introduced himself as Ryan. Markus remembered him. He’d come to New Jericho like many others - looking for a place where he did not have interact with humans on a regular basis. He’d been afraid then, and he’d found a place where he felt safer at New Jericho. Markus knew he lived in one of their apartments (small, but comfortable units; they were limited unfortunately, necessitating the continual work on housing in the city), in a part of New Jericho (a residential wing) that was exclusive to Androids. He saw a trace of fear now.
“Was anyone injured?” Markus asked, gentle, but to the point.
“No.” Erin said, certain. She wasn’t lying, though Markus watched her straighten her shoulders slightly, as if she worried because of that fact he might think this problem wasn’t worth his time. “But we’re concerned if he does-”
Markus stood, from where he’d leaned on the edge of his desk, lifting a hand, “I understand, Erin. Thank you all for coming to me. I’ll talk with him... and see what I can do to help.”
“... We didn’t want to ask him to leave.”
Markus turned at the remark. Asking an Android to leave New Jericho was... a  serious deliberation. Suggesting it was tantamount to an insult and offense in day-to-day conversation. They had rules (everyone knew them; they were public, accessible, and decided by open-sessions). There were certain rules that when broken would prompt a request for someone to leave, but-... it was not something done commonly. New Jericho was a place of shelter and safety. They wanted to avoid costing any Androids that peace, if at all possible.
“No. We don’t.” Markus agreed.
Tumblr media
Markus found Ralph where they had told him to look, alone, in one of the apartments near the back of New Jericho. New Jericho was partly aged, brick and mortar, the carved out and remodeled frame of an old, but large church. It had next to no resemblance to what it had originally been, and with much of the front portion built-on, there was only the vague sense that some of the back apartments were once part of an historied, brick structure.
Markus knocked on the frame of the door, to get Ralph’s attention before he stepped in, “Hi. Ralph?” He greeted, only coming as far as the threshold, and resting his shoulder lightly against it. “I was asked to check in on you.” Honest. He wasn’t going to let this conversation be under false pretense. “May I come in?”

It had been rather intriguing to watch George slowly open up over time, with a personality and opinions emerging from behind a barrier of confusion and fear. Out of everyone at the Bureau, John had been privy to it the most; the android had initially labeled him as ‘ primary user, ’ and that hadn’t really changed.
Although he always tried to encourage George in embracing that burgeoning individuality all the further, he remained aware that pushing too hard was liable to provide the opposite effect. Anyway, if it was only ever done to accommodate him, then didn’t that defeat the purpose? It was the sort of line John had never walked before, one that he was still figuring out.
Today, however, was all about new experiences. Although he was consistently on-call ( which stood for ‘ expected to immediately drop whatever he was doing in his spare time should he be called back to the Bureau ’ ), he intended for George to see and do as much as possible of what had been perceived as off-limits prior.
He was considering this, his thoughts already stretching beyond the confines of the field office, when his companion’s voice broke through such reverie. Suddenly drawn back to the present, John’s lips were quick to curve into a subtle grin at the sight of George’s own smile. “I can’t say I’ve ever seen Manning too pleased about much, but I think he’ll approve.”
George did look different — with an altered skin, certainly, yet there was an underlying sort of spirit there that was new, or at least hadn’t been quite so prevalent when they first met. Maybe it was a little of both. Then, one corner of his mouth rose slightly higher. “You look very nice.” Despite his distracted mind, he hadn’t missed the way George had lingered in front of the mirror, presumably debating over what would look best. “And you’ll blend in with humans, which is what Manning cares about the most.”
@myersbprd
The android stood in front of a mirror, a small frown upon his face, almost undetectable if one didn't know him any better. George did not like to frown, he preferred to try and have a positive attitude. Something he seemed to pick up from John.
It was his primary user that had brought on this dilemma. John always seemed to stress the importance of George's individuality. Even with his new skin, he found it difficult deciding on one very important thing, his hair.
This would be the first time he would be allowed to go out into the world. Everything he saw now was nothing but surveillance, pictures, and old footage. It had been expressed to him, but certain individuals, the importance of blending in and keeping a low profile.
Eventually, he decided to compromise, running his fingers through his hair, changing it one last time. A dark dirty blonde, almost brunette, fairly short with just the slightest amount of length on top, and a small amount of curl. He decided on a green, almost hazel colored eye. Then, the smallest hint of stubble.
He thought it all paired well with his dark grey slacks and black shirt. Nothing too dressed up, nothing too dressed down. He should blend right in.
He turned to face his user when he had finished, a warm smile gracing his features. "Do you believe this will please the director?" Of course, Manning had the final say.
Despite his nervousness, he was rather excited, though he tried not to show it. He had news for John that he was fairly certain he would be pleased with, but that would have to wait until they were alone and out of hearing range of anyone else who would listen.

Closed starter for @technxlogic between Saul and Arda
There had been a shooting at a club downtown. Speculation was that it was related to organized crime somehow, but determining that wasn’t Arda’s job. Her job was to to help those that were injured in the crossfire. She had an abundance of medical knowledge and several current licenses to practice in all sorts of medically related fields. She’d decided to start as an EMT, since the city was in need of first responders at the moment and she wanted to help.
So, when the call came in, she was quick to gather gear and get on the ambulance as it rushed to the scene. When she arrived at the club, there were several injured parties that she and her team took care of. She and the other EMT’s were wheeling what they thought was their last patient onto the ambulance in a gurney when Arda spotted a trail of blue liquid leading away from the club.
“What are you looking at?” One of the other EMT’s asked her.
“I believe there may be someone else hurt. They must have become frightened and run off,” Arda replied, looking a little troubled at the thought that an android might be injured and alone somewhere nearby. She looked over to her team member and smiled. “Leave me one of the android med kits and head back. I’ll call you to pick me up when I’m done.”
“You’re not going to go out looking for them alone are you?” the other woman asked.
“Don’t worry. I’ll be fine. It may turn out to be nothing. First priority is getting the injured patients to the hospital. If I do find a bleeding android, I’ll stabilize them and you can come pick us up and take us back to the hospital as well,” Arda reassured them.
The other EMT shrugged her shoulders and handed Arda one of the med kits they had just for androids (something new they had started making standard since androids had earned equal rights). Once the bag was in her hand, Arda started following the trail of blue blood while the ambulance drove off. Her footsteps were light as she wandered closer to the end of the thirium trail, but she hummed a soft tune as she walked, so she wasn’t likely to catch the hurt android off guard once she reached him.

They kicked her out the bar again, she already had a few, but she always has her backup drink flask with some vodka. Cassandra was walking by a mansion that looks like abandoned, she could see any light from where she was and she saw a hidden hole that she could fit.
Cassandra didn't think twice, she just crouched and went through the hole, it was like a big adventure for her. As soon as she passed by she came to a poorly kept garden but still had beautiful features, some different colorful flowers. She keep going until get to a fancy porch and she could see a door should go into the place. She was not too drunk but drunk enough to not realize some spots the red lights.
So she tried to open the door, didn't work, so se just sat down on a near by bench.

@technxlogic asked: Connor comes back to the apartment to find Odi's dirty shoes just outside the door. It is obvious he took great care not to soil the apartment, however there is a slight trail leading to the guest bathroom and snall meows of protest within.
"Odi? Are you alright?" Usually Odi is almost obsessively keeping the apartment clean, trying to kill the boredom of being trapped inside during the harsh winter. It's started to warm up lately though, so he's been able to go out a bit. Still, there has never been a trail of mud that leads to the bathroom.
The strange sounds from the bathroom had Connor moving over there fast, "Odi? What's going on?" he says as he opens the door.

"There was FUCKING SEMI TRUCK, YOU--" Cole begins, LED bright red, gesturing wildly at the busy road as his voice climbed in volume and intensity, before he abruptly stopped himself. No. Don't yell at Ralph, and definitely don't call him names. That's not going to help anything. It's not his fault. It's not his fault it's not his fault it's not his fault...
It takes a moment, but red cycles back down to blue has he lets out the sound of a tense sigh. "Look, let's just... let's just get you home, ok?" He tries again, a subtle note of apology in his tone.
Among all of the androids to come through New Jericho, Ralph was certainly a unique case. Even though he was technically in their rehab program, Cole had serious doubts he would ever be able to live independently. The damage done and the instabilities they caused left Ralph in a perpetual newly awakened state; unpredictable, highly irrational, and by most human standards, dangerous. None of it was his fault of course, but it was a sad situation all around.
Not for the first time, Cole found himself prowling the streets, searching for New Jericho's lost lamb. The only good thing about the damage Ralph sustained was that the scar on his face made him easily recognizable, even to humans. Ergo, it wasn't too hard to follow the trail of pedestrians that could point the elder in the right direction. But when he found the damaged android, there was no time for a careful approach. Before them was a busy highway, and Ralph seemed determined to cross despite the oncoming traffic. Cole sprung to action, grabbing Ralph by the collar of his shirt and yanking him back just as a semi blared past. However lifesaving the action was, it also resulted in a handheld shovel colliding with his face as Ralph flailed in surprise. Cole had no choice but to let go, his hand reflexively coming back to cover a glossy white cheek.
"Ralph!" The elder yelps in a burst of shock and frustration. "Goddamnit, it's me!"
