Hamilton, ON, wants to be the best place to raise a child and age successfully. These days, that’s a tall order to fulfill.
But on June 7, Hamilton city council took a major step towards making that vision a reality by voting unanimously to support a Guaranteed Livable Basic Income (GLBI).
The motion, put forward by Ward 15 Councillor Ted McMeekin and seconded by Ward 1 Councillor Maureen Wilson, is proof non-partisan agreement exists for a GLBI.
I'm a big fan of anagram and just Oscar and Carlos ???
Oscar took the 'L' in Carlos to give Love to Lando.
Like C a r l o s and O s c a r
It also works for the Carlando shipper as : Carlos had the L for Lando because he's his.
So we could also use it in a toxic love triangle with Lando realizing that Carlos kept the L has a possession but Oscar let him be his own person.
Do you get it ?
Ted: “Do you think he [Max] does it because you’re (…) the most successful driver of all time and he has to show he’s beaten you? There can’t be any other reason why he races you the way he does unless there’s something deeper…”
“I don’t think there’s anything deeper in the background, because we never really had like an in dept conversation. The actually only time we’ve ever had an in dept conversation actually was in 2020 in Austria where I went to him to speak to him about what Black Lives Matters meant. How much it would mean if he was… To be support and try to explain what it feels like and why we are fighting and what it’s about, right?”
lewis hamilton is interviewed on media day, australia - march 21, 2024
(transcript under the cut)
Lewis: "It's definitely not the evil sister or anything like that. I do think we have an amazing car. There's a lot of potential in it and I think we just haven't maximized it, whether through set-up; through, ultimately, mistakes. We're obviously not happy with the performance of those first couple of races, but I think there's a lot more potential in it that we just haven't quite extracted yet.
So that's what everyone's focus is on, just trying to understand the car, and we're hoping this weekend to step forward. There's a huge amount of work that's going on. Everyone's heads are down, and the numbers, and… I feel positive for this weekend. We've had two not such great races, but there's a long way ahead."
Kravitz: "After the race in Saudi, it looked for us watching on TV like you were someone who realized that you wouldn't be able, with this car, to challenge for this year's championship; that the goal of the golden final farewell with Mercedes wasn't gonna happen for you this year.
I sense you're rowing back from that slightly now and you're saying that the car doesn't still have these terrible rear grip limitations that you've hinted that it did at the end of Saudi?"
Lewis: "Yeah, I think we had a really good winter, or the three day test that we have, four day test.
There's definitely elements that… We've made big improvements with this car, so just in terms of just generally driving it, it feels like a much, much better car, much more like a racecar, but there are… It can drop off one end or the other end. It's a narrow working window with these types of cars.
I do believe that we've still got that winning mindset within the team. I have absolute faith in these guys to fix any of the problems that we have. We will get there. The fact that Max has 58 points and we only have eight points after two races, if you just think logic about it… Just have to be conscious it's a very long season, also, so things can change, but it's gonna be very hard to catch those guys. [laughs] Their car, they jump on the track and it just works.
For us, we really need to pick up that performance and get into where we need to be, but the dream and the goal is still… Like, if we can get wins this year or podiums this year, I think that could be really amazing. To finish second in the constructor's last year, given the issues we had with the car, just shows what we can do with something that's not even perfect, so I'm hoping that we can do that again this year."
So did Sky ask anyone besides Checo (subject of racist rant) and Lewis (the only black man in the sport) about Helmut’s racist rant? No? Did that fucking idiot Ted Kravitz ask anyone besides the tired token black man to arbitrate the white mans racism? Did anyone ask Verstappen? Why the fuck did Kravitz even ask Lewis alone? It’s not his team. Not his teammate. How about you ask all of them if you’re looking for a condemnation you daft prick
