Sai is Shouyou's second student. He also knew Oboro. (I will draw them in lore stories together later.)

Sai's parents are technically part of Tenshouin Naraku , but they don't care about him at all. Sai's parents are so crazy about Tenshouin Naraku that they made their innocent son a vessel for Utsuro, that's why Sai got red eyes like Utsuro. He also has physical abilities that exceed that of children his age.

Fun facts – That is another reason why Utsuro is attracted to Sai and accepts him as his adopted son lmao 😭😭 Meanwhile, Sai never saw Utsuro as his father (Shouyou).

Headcanon serie 1 :

The Yato (夜兎) and Yatagarasu (八咫烏)

As it goes through the folklore in Asia, (Night) Rabbits are a symbol lf rebirth that also represents the Moon.

The Yatagarasu, which is a three-legged crow-god, represents the sun. Nobume, who was once known as Mukuro, was part of Tenshouin Naraku, one of the three wings even.

this is aki, he’s in tenshouin naraku! he’s been collecting dust in my folders when i found him again lmao. sorry bb. 

he was one of the kids in the orphanage with hina when they were abducted and used as test subjects at a facility. he had helped her escape with the last of his strength and was believed to be dead until his appearance as a tenshouin naraku. 

hajime is his real name, having taken on his twin brother’s name (akihiko) when he died. he’s quite excitable, but also prone to fits of rage.

aight someone asked me awhile back how Yan meets the Yorozuya; this is how it goes:

He doesn’t meet them during Yoshiwara in Flames arc because he stays behind to overseer the ship, but he does hear about them as he helps patch Abuto up. Imagine the surprise of seeing Kamui return with a delighted grin, Abuto with a missing arm, and Ungyou not at all. The expenditure to Earth was supposed to be a relatively simple one. Check up on Housen’s Yoshiwara and report back to the higher-ups. And it’s not like Yan wasn’t expecting for thing’s not to go sour (Kamui was going out this time after all and Housen’s still a brute, even if he became domesticated), but he wasn’t exactly expecting Ungyou to die and Abuto to look like he got shoved into a meat grinder. Overall, Yan was intrigued about the whole fiasco, especially by Gintoki. A mere human manages to defeat the former 7th division captain, Housen, on his home turf? Even with support, the fact remains that Housen is dead and the samurai lives. Yan had worked under Housen for a long time enough to be extremely impressed. And to learn that it was his current captain’s sister that’s partially responsible for Abuto’s good looks— talk about genetics, the whole family are monsters. Yan doesn’t envy Abuto one bit. Sorry Shinpachi, the most Abuto talks about you to Yan is only a reference, “glasses-wearing kid”.

He’ll encounter Gintoki in the SA arc, though briefly. He’s part of the assault team against Iga village and when he clashes against Gintoki for the first time, Yan could see why Kamui was so antsy to go back to Edo. He’s strong for an earthling, very strong, managing to break Yan’s clavicle with a well-aimed smash. In return, Yan breaks some ribs and lands some nasty bruises before a bomb firing off at the right moment gives Gintoki enough time to escape. Yan decides to not pursue after him, thinking it better to let Gintoki go so Kamui wouldn’t pout and try to kill him for taking away his prey. He gets jumped later anyway.

During the Rakuyou Decisive Battle arc, he’ll meet Gintoki again, and Kagura and Shinpachi face-to-face for the first time. Though he is not able to interact much with them in the midst of battle, it’s an unspoken agreement that the 7th division have joined hands with them to defeat the Harusame/Tenshouin Naraku. Later, Yan’ll become part of the entourage trying to get Kamui to snap out of x games mode.
